The most expensive basegame toilet’s stats are actually a typo. It originally had the best stats and even the unbreakable one so I always use it because even though the stats are broken they’re not broken in game. That toilet never breaks and rarely gets dirty.
That's actually really good to know bc I used to always get it once my Sims had the money but assumed those stats applied ingame and haven't used it since

Kayla, the laser litter box is the one that looks like a cat! The other one isn't a laser, it's just self-cleaning and you have to empty it
I was just about to comment that. Yeah, I always use the weird cat-shaped litter box exactly because of that. Because unlike the other automatic one, you never have to empty it. Like... never!
And that's why my builds always have the weird, creepy cat box. I also think its pretty iconic given that the eyes are the lasers. It's so funny to me.
I’m pretty sure that the other one that she said was laser, wasn’t laser but, was a self cleaning litter box it just didn’t use lasers

I was gonna say the same thing. The first time I tried to use the self cleaning one instead of the laser cat, I realized that my sim were gonna have to clean it! So now I usually stick with the iconic laser cat.
Here's a list of rankings I think would be fun for you to do!:
- Every death in the Sims 4
- Every whoohoo spot
- Beds would be interesting
- EA's iconic builds (Landgrabb and Goth house, that museum in Del Sol Valley, etc.)
- All the celerity sims
- Every iconic/very well known sims (Nancy, Vlad, Bella, Penny, etc.)
- Every pet in the Sims
- Skills would be fun cause there's so many and it'd be interesting to see your opinion on them (and everything else on the list)

I never understood why we didn't get a combo toilet/shower with the Tiny Living pack. A lot of tiny homes have them, and it would have allowed you to fit a bathroom in fewer tiles, which the sink and toilet.... doesn't. Or a toilet with a sink over the tank! Which are super cool, and which my old church had! Again, an actual space saver, cramming two one-tile items into one tile.
I have never seen a shower over a toilet, that sounds odd. A toilet with a sink in top, yes, but not a toilet/shower combo. Wait, I tell a lie, I've "seen" it before in the Prison Architect playthroughs Sips (of the Yogscast) has done. He'd place them all on top of one another to create the smallest cells possible. But outside of that game, nope.
is usually like a toilet you can move, like out of under the shower when you need to shower and then you put it back, so i don't know how that would work in the sims but it would have been nice to get more stuff that are like 2 in 1 space savers

@@AlexaFaie I think they might be talking about a compact wet room. Pretty common in big cities. We have them in our dorm rooms in Shanghai. It's not so much that the toilet and shower are the same object but that they occupy the same space.
As a person with Crohn's disease, I always use the higher rated toilets when I build, despite what they look like, because I spend so much time on toilets, it's important to me that my sims have a comfortable one. 😂

There is a fourth pee bush in the Snowy escape debug. It has only greenery and not giant flowers on it, so it is way more discreet than the others, if that is what you are looking for. I know I am liking it a lot more than these other ones.
Theres also one in the base game debug with purple flowers i think?

@@feniskoura3726 yes, they work just as these three other bushes. You can pee, sleep and woohoo in the snowy escape debug bushes.

45 toilets and there still isn't one which quite looks like a regular toilet. They're either old fashioned or hyperspecific styles. I always like it when CC creators make bathroom sets and actually include toilets because there's like 2 usable toilets in the game otherwise (tiny living and the base game with the push flush button on top, maybe seasons works for some builds).
The base game toilet is the most normal toilet in the world, idk what the hell kinda toilet you use fam.
I’m really surprised how much I disagree on the toilet ranking. Some of the ones Kayla hates I love, and some of the ones she loves and uses alot I hate 😂
The only one I hate is the talking toilet from City Living. Sims are obsessed with it and spend the entire day talking to it, and sometimes don't even finish peeing before they stand back up to obsess over it some more. All the other ones are at least useful.
11:45 - that modern “base game” toilet also has the distinction of being the only toilet that has “pack exclusive” swatches. For island living, instead of wasting an item slot on an entirely new toilet, they instead added matching swatches to an existing base game item. Normally, I could see why people wouldn’t be a fan of this - but for me, as long as the additional swatches didn’t take away from the item count, a toilet would generally be the one time I would be ok or even happy with it. Toilets in expansions are kind of difficult- let’s say you just have base game and buy an expansion, you would want to be able to build an entire house or lot that fits the theme, so if there is no toilet in the pack, the base game toilets might not fit in well. On the other hand, it’s taking up an item slot in a pack JUST for yet another toilet and if you have all the packs, you probably can find something to fit.
Literally every toilet she put in "useless" are the ones I use in all of my builds, I'm deceased.
The seasons toilet is the one I use the most! Always in the fully black swatch.

Yess!! It's just a little more modern than the regular basegame toilets, but not overly fancy so that you can't use it. It's perfect!

The tiny living toilet might be my favorite, and for a very good reason: it's relatively low-priced, not too much more expensive than the cheapest, and like many of the TL items, its item ratings (yk like comfort and reliability) are AMAZING compared to the other cheap options. Especially when I'm doing a rags to riches type challenge, I'll frequently go through the catalog and choose the stuff that'll give me the most for the least amount of money. And for that, I love this toilet.
Also, she does fit well in small spaces and she's a nice, solid white. No weird designs or colors. It's good stuff.

ok so to answer your problem with the tiny living toilet, it's bc the other toilets that u used as an example were from other packs. I think the devs made the toilet keeping in mind some people might ONLY have tiny living and base game. The toilets in base game are def bigger.
I would love to see you rank the deaths in the game that would be awesome lol, I also think maybe you could rank the beds or other various items because some of the beds are kinda weird too 😂
My favorite one is the expensive stone one from Seasons. My second favorite is the Snowy Escape toilet.

I like how the first three in useless are some of my favorites to use, lol. Though I do like making modern homes/apartments, so they become useful.
The Cat Laser litterbox is the most iconic toilet for me by far because I always used to use that toilet for my cats due to thinking it's the only laser mitterbox in the game. Well, since then I placed that cat laser litterbox EVERY TIME I play with cats... lol

Tiny living because it looks so normal, and I love this one

I agree about the potties. They really are not needed. Great for players who want to have that aspect of raising toddlers but I always slap on the independent trait so that they are auto potty trained anyway 🙈

I legitimately didn't know that there are no negative consequences of potty training toddlers in Sims 4. I might stop potty training lol
Then you'll just be doing a lot more baths 🙄 And you can just leave them on the toilet after putting them there by cancellling out the action so its actually quicker and easier than bathing 😉 Because, personally, it really bothers me when they walk around stinky 😄
They won't get the "happy toddler" trait (or whatever it's called), though.
I forgot about the happy toddler trait. Mofos with that trait just get happy for no reason for the rest of their lives. Small price to pay for the time it takes to potty train. :D
Also wont interrupt your sims to take care of them if you have them busy with a task
@@TabbyHanson no, the Happy Toddler (all skills to 3) and Top Notch Toddler (all skills to 5) actually give pretty big boosts to skill building for the rest of their lives. Carl’s Guides did a video testing it, and Top Notch Toddler makes an especially huge difference. So if you want smart sims, it’s very good. Sorry, tho, it’s none of my business how anyone else parents their Sims lol.

I’m not sure if it’s a joke or if it’s just a small continuity error but just thought I’d mention it since I’ve seen it a few times in different vids

i have noticed that if my toddler is lower than level 3 potty training, when they age up as children they have a higher change of wetting their bed at night ( yeah that.... really is a thing )

I love the idea for this vid, I want to see someone who doesn't have opposite taste from me do it 😂 I really like antiques, so I prefer the ones she says are too fancy. Also white hurts my eyes and is one of the things that triggers overstimulation caused by my ADHD the most, so I prefer the more unusual swatches

Ranking every iconic preset sim (ie, the Goth family, Dina and Nina, Agnes Crumblebottom, the Vampires)

Ranking every bath and shower

Regarding the public toilets, I know my Sims always seem to be grossed out after using the island living one. Does anyone else notice that, or have you noticed that with any of the other public toilets?
I also have to comment that some of the toilets that Kayla doesn't like always remind me of ones I saw in Australia many years ago. Things may have changed, but perhaps what we in the US think is normal isn't normal everywhere and those more narrow, more plastic looking toilets are used in other parts of the world.
It's funny and always fun to see how different build styles affect our taste in Sims 4 items. For instance, I use the spa day toilet in a lot of my non-residential builds & even a few of the modern residential ones and I use the Eco Lifestyle, Tiny Living & Snowy Escape ones a lot - all depending on the modernity & style of the build. Fun video Kayla!

I agree with most of these except the last one I would most definitely put it in ICONIC because honestly I actually kinda want that toilet for myself. It is honestly one of my toilets because of the sheer uniqueness and creativity that radiates off of that toilet.

You should rank all of the commonly known glitches/bugs that have been in the game, lol. For example, sims obsessively making white cake, T-posing doctors, animals being horrifically stretched out in the world icons, babies being black when they should have a non natural skin tone, simulation lag, etc., etc. I would say some are definitely ... iconic

I potty train my toddler for ONE thing : So that they get the «Top notch toddler» trait that give a lifelong bonus when building ALL of their skills.
The last one... You can activate it's emotional aura. That's an aura that make your Sims inspired. It can come in handy for some aspirations...

I usually match the toilets with the kind of building I'm doing:
Golden toilets: witch homes / sickly rich people.
Cheap hand made toilet: Some werewolf home or abandoned home.
Spa/fitness/modern toilets: modern homes.
Eco lifestyle: eco bunker homes.
The one with wood: some farm or pet oriented home.
[Edit] The vampire toilet: victorian/vampire homes of course.

I love that you included litter boxes. I only use about 4 to 6 of the toilets in the game. I even own some of these packs and don't recognize the toilets.

the art critic toilet is my absolute favorite. i always have to stop myself from putting it in bathrooms and completely overhauling the entire vibe of the build
Ranking of the deaths, the woohoo spots, the skills, the occults, the special NPCs (like the Sad Clown or Patchy), the aspirations, the traits (CAS, reward and aspiration), beds, couches (or literally any other furniture piece), paintings, wallpapers, floors. Just rank everything at this point lmao, I know I'll enjoy it and I'm sure others will too
The tiny living toilet I wanted was the kind that has a sink on the back! It would have made so much sense!

I use the RAW Toilet in EVERY BUILD
It's just such an Everyman of Toilets, you can go full white, or a little tiny wood accent, it's not too modern or too old-fashioned, it's just very very average and understated, as toilets ought to be. Plus the fact that it's not too too expensive or unreliable

The litter box with the lazor eyes in the only one I ever use. It's iconic in my game play for sure.
