She really did them dirty. I personally really like those plants, they're interesting and quirky.
I understand why she did it, though.
She wants to keep non-base-game items low.
Though she's also expressed dislike towards Batuu.
The plants are probably not her style anyway. Half of them are large and the other half are probably too strange looking to her more conventional style in most of her builds.
Somehow that overly round shrub still has a better texture than the big afro hair

I'd love to see you rank the ceiling lights in the sims. I mean there are really weird ceiling lights where I have 0 clue how you would EVER use it- and I just think it would be funny to see you bash them. n_n

For the plant walls, I once put in a little sunken area in the living room as a reading/painting nook and used 3-4 of the plant walls as a divider between the nook and the rest of the room. I put in a little ladder so the sims could get in and out without taking up half the space with a staircase, covered the walls of the sunken area in floor-to-ceiling windows, used some of the super cozy looking nifty knitting furniture down there, and filled the nook with as many plants as I could fit with my sims still being able to use it
Lilsimsie should do a build where she has to use all of the bottom tier ones.

Can I throw this idea out there that will make this more difficult: Instead of plants, has someone done a Tier List for all the Debug items?... Probably not but if so, please link it or reply with a video title so I can check it out. Just the amount of items alone is intimidating but there are some hidden gems in there

@@hannahprice2614 He uses wall plants in pretty much every build to add a "pop of colour" since most of his builds are monochrome & he worries he makes his builds too colourful using the palest pastel wall paint options. It is to him what blue suburbans are to Kayla.

I would love to see a build challenge where you based each room around a weird plant! So maybe the strangerville bathtub planter as the inspiration for one room, the deviled egg planter as another, etc.

Kind of adding to her wrap-up at the end: I am not surprised Eco-Lifestyle has top tier plants because the premise for that pack is living with the Earth and going green and being environmentally friendly. The premise screams plants to me, as it should for a lot of other people.
But also, Kayla tends to do this thing where she favours items that are part of packs that she genuinely enjoys. Yes she has made a "Everything Wrong with..." video for each of the packs but I feel like Eco-Lifestyle was the first pack in a long time that really sparked creativity and fun in the Sims Community. Yes, there was a weird expectation (that we do not need to talk about) but overall EVERYONE was impressed by that pack and everyone enjoyed it.

Legit only part of that pack I like are the CAS stuff. But I'm not going to buy a whole ass pack I won't use just for for CAS items.

I use that get famous plant with the fruits everywhere! I like it, because it adds a pop of colour and it can be placed on top of stuff. Pretty much every plant that you can place on a table is in the "put it everywhere" category for me, along with all the tall and skinny plants. The plants I never use tend to be the large ones and the ones that look weird inside or are clearly meant for outdoors, because I never put potted plants outdoors, I use actual trees and flowers there. In general (and that's true for most items, not just plants) I love more versatile stuff, the stuff that's more "out there" is most of the time just too big to put anywhere or only coordinates well with stuff from the same set, and using the whole set would make it way too "out there". That's my main issue, most things don't fit well together, so I gravitate towards the most basic stuff. I wish there were more simple vases with small flower arrangements in different colours.

I've been trying to incorporate more plants into my builds. I'm good at designing and planting gardens, in real life and in the game, but just am lost at indoor placement! Good to know which are the best for easy placement 😆

The bigger bamboo is one of my favorite room dividers and the only non-CC that I actually use. It gives a nice boost to nice environment, and it's not so bulky as other 'plant walls', so it's great for small houses with open floor plan with nowhere to hang paintings. Put a couple of those between dining table and sofa = happy Sims, with no effort. >.>
One thing I do with the obscenely tall plant from Get Together (the one with the tall vase and short plants) is I'll shrink it down 1 size and put it on the floor where counters go so it looks wildly more proportionate and it's a pretty cute decoration item

I love the plants in the bathtub when I’m doing a renovation challenge. If I have a busted up old house that has the bathtub trash pile from eco living in the house I then, as I’m tidying up, use the bathtub plants option as part of a SL about how the family cleaned it up and used it in the garden.
Its so hard cause I can’t point! But that one she put as favourite, the white vase with the tall green plant. I use that a lot for it’s realistic size and it’s not too bit and not too small.
Also another plant form the base game that I use in every house in all different places is the tiny green plant with a square vase. It fits on shelf’s, it fits on bedside tables, it fits on the fireplace.

Explaining the leaf color for the plant at 14:58 - Some plants have naturally grayer or "duller" looking leaves like certain olive trees (depending on where they are grown), or lavender bushes.

i just built a bathtub plant house today! the house belongs to a plant hoarder, so the story in my head is that she didn't have any more space for plants, so she turned her bathtub into a planter. the bathroom looks absolutely wild with it, but i love it!
