@@manic_street_starlover Dance floors and DJ booths really elevate them tho, without them it's kinda hard to differentiate nightclubs from lounges or bars
if you like building, i would say eco lifestyle is a good first pack, because of the 4 new apartments, neighbourhoods, cute build-buy, and loads of debug items. that’s just my personal opinion, though; most recent packs (save for batuu) are pretty worth your money
I think the dumpsters are also pretty good and the green energy is good for getting utilities down too

As a simmer who likes building I agree, I don't have the pack yet but I will because the items are so beautiful, also if someone likes the green style.
Eco Lifestyle is a good architecture pack and Dream Home Decorator is a good interior design pack.
They should make a medieval or royalty kit. I feel like that would be fun.
Yea this one RUclipsr I like did a gameplay of the sims 2(I think) that had this royalty theme pack and it looked like so much fun. If we could get that exact same thing but in ts4 that would be amazing 😩
@@mercury7636 There is a chance you are referring to The Sims Medieval. It’s a separate sims game that is basically sort of The Sims 3 but in medieval times and you can do quests, live in a kingdom, etc. It is lots of fun and I would recommend checking it out!
I'd love that. They should do a big pack in homage to the sims 3 medival.

While we all have different taste, there is one thing we can all collectively agree on. Journey to Batuu is the worst thing to ever happen to us.
THIS, i love pretty much love all the packs. Except three. Strangerville, buttuu(batuu) and….we all know her! Luxury party stuff(whatever its called 😬)

Batuu is great if you're a builder of unique or occult things.
Strangerville is gorgeous when the story is over. However, I rarely play new saves because you can't turn the story off.
Yes, this. I love Strangerville, but I wish I could just turn off the story. We got some beautiful build mode stuff, more cacti, and that gorgeous world but I never play there. I use it as a build world for shell challenges all the time
I would say use mods to end the story, I don't remember how I did it if I'm being honest since I fell in love with one of my saves since 7months ago and I only play that one so I didn't have the necessity to do it again. But sure there is a way
I personally don't have the pack but I read that some people get a new save, complete the strangeville thing and then save it as a new save and duplicate it if needed
I have never done the Strangerville stuff whatsoever.. I didn't even know the place changes or anything. I think the only time I've actually seen Strangerville is when I watch Simsie.. and she pretty much never goes there. Also, I'd suspect there's mods to just auto complete the story and change the world state?
@@annam6636 Yeah, I just did that recently for a new save I made. Even with cheats it still takes a decent amount of time to finish the story.
I think it would be cool if the three base worlds got an additional small neighborhood with dine out, with just restaraunts. I love them, but there’s really no space for them in a lot of worlds.
I agree. I’d use them more if there was a small world with just restaurants.
I always end up picking a house or business to demolish and make a restaurant there lol
for real although I only really use the blank world I think it's newcrest (correct me if I'm wrong I never really use it) for vacation lots, a few lived in houses, retail shops and restaurants!! :)
yeah i wish dine out had a magnolia promenade-style world of just a handful of restaurants lined up on a street with maybe 1 or 2 empty lots for us to build our own.
my dream version of the sims 4 merges magnolia promenade into newcrest and adds dine out neighbourhoods into the two other worlds

It’s sooo cool to see how different one’s views and ways of playing are. I’m from a tropical country, like 40°C is the average temperature in the city I’m from and so beaches and stuff like that have always been a GIGANTIC part of my life and I just love it. It’s probably due to that that I’m almost always playing in Sulani instead of other worlds, I find it easier to build there and the architecture is more relatable to me, meanwhile Kayla is from Orlando so it makes sense that she doesn’t use Sulani that much
I come from the cold part if my country and Sulani is probably my number one used world especially during the winter. I don’t want to play with snow while I’m looking at it 😂😂
Born and raised Canadian, and I never use Sulani just because I can't relate to it
I'm an only base game player but I'm planning on getting the packs and since I live in a coast rainy town and an apartment not having the packs that come with that makes me feel so out of place while I play
I'm from Connecticut and Brindleton bay is SUPER relatable to me. I play there almost always since it feels and looks like my home state
I think a lot of people missed the idea of Sulani, they keep complaining about it not being more holiday destination style but fail to realize that wasn't what it was meant to be. People in countries such as England and America often seem to forget that other people's way of life is so completely different from theirs. Sulani was about bringing another culture and way of life into the game. So no sims community, it shouldn't have come with hotels, stop saying that.
Luxury Party has literally only *12* build mode ITEMS, that should explain enough about horrible it is.
Windenburg gave us 26 lots, these new worlds have only been giving us about 14-16.

To be fair, Get Together was all about having more areas for your Sims to, well...get together.
Ngl, I use the throwback fitness kit on almost ALL of my sims, especially the puffy shoes that come in all those bright colors. Probably the only kit I don't regret.
i haven't bought any of the kits and trhe only one i actually want is the plant one lol. tho the throwback fitness clothes do look really cool
Same. I think the Incheon fashion one was cool but kinda boring. The throwback one tho is so fun and I use the dresses skirts and tops all the time.

The CAS in Discover University is personally TO DIE FOR
Legit, I got it in 2019 purely for the cas. Not that good a pack by itself but the clothes are worth it
I want to buy the pack just for the CAS items alone. They fit a lot of younger sims perfectly due to the style of them… Could imagine myself using them a lot
i love the stuff in it but the gameplay is awful to be honest. maybe i need to give it another go but to even get into the university was hard in itself

I would rank the “destination” packs higher, including snowy escape and island living, if there were more gameplay oriented toward living in those worlds. I like to live in Mt. Komorebi. I think they nailed the onsen, but there’s so many other things, including many build mode items, that are focused on resort vibes instead of a world where there is a cultural history. And that’s kinda what I mean about destination packs in general. I would like it if sims who start out living in Mt. Komorebi don’t get embarrassed moodlets when using chopsticks. I hate that sims will autonomously take selfies at the graveyard. I love going to the Obon/Tanabata mashup Festival of Lights, but by making it a mashup, the things that honor our ancestors got taken out.
This is kind of a theme in sims packs. I don’t like taking artifacts in Jungle Adventure. It’s weird that you can have a kava party in willow creek. They would be better packs if they offered unique community gameplay. I don’t dream of being a salary man. Lemme go to my kids school for a mochitsuki and have park clean up days with my neighbors.
I hate that Jungle Adventure is the only south american representation we have in the sims and it's only seen as a vacation thing. Like, you go there, have some fun, "explore" the world, steal some artifacts, only to come back home. You can't even LIVE there. That is the worst bc, surprisingly, people live in south america and have lives in here!!!

@@lysiamoreno7431 I really wish they had updated the vacation worlds to be like mt komorebi. The option to live in the jungle adventure world is long overdue. They obviously can do it; modders have already made it possible, but I don’t want to have to download a mod to be able to live there.
The only kit I care about is blooming rooms. I would absolutely love if they made a clutter kit and/or home decor kit with more basic items, modern paintings/photos, etc with simpler frames to decorate houses with.
My first pets and romantic garden packs being above laundry day is a crime 😂 for me that one's a must have, the decor and gameplay is great!
Tiny Living is my must have Stuff pack. I have an unhealthy tiny house obsession.
I generally enjoy the furniture that comes with the pack as well. Even if not in a tiny house it helps fill out a space quite often. Especially when you're doing like a teen's room or something. Actually building the tiny homes though is a bit boring in my opinion.. at least the 32 tile ones because there's only a handful of layouts that work well.. I feel they missed out on some of those things though. Like adding a 1-2 tile bathroom set could have been interesting. Like one item that counts as a sink, shower/tub, and toilet. In real life there's a lot of interesting things people do with tiny homes.. the only thing Tiny Living really adds that's similar is the murphy bed.. which will likely kill your stupid sim..

I looooved the Tiny Living stuff until the bed killed my sim and I haven't touched the beds from that pack since... lol

Honestly I think the Courtyard Oasis Kit is so underrated, the quality of the assets is incredible for such a small pack
Same! I use the build items from that kit more than just about any other, even though I'm...not building Moroccan-themed courtyards. The branding of the pack undersold how useful the actual stuff was more broadly.
As a non-youtuber its the only kit i've bought and the only one I've ever been tempted by
i agree! i dont use it much in most of my sims’ households, but the items are just so GORGEOUS and add a nice new culture to the game
agreed! the tiles are 80% of the reason i bought this pack,and it's so versatile. like i've build portuguese style apartments, the plants are gorgeous, the couches, the lamps.... it really gave us stuff we've never really had that way before

Go for it, it's definitely one of the very best packs, hands down. I love everything it comes with, CAS, build/buy items, gameplay - all excellent! Obviously only if you like farm-y type stuff, lol.
Do it. It’s the only pack I preordered because I could not wait for it to go on sale. Totally worth every penny in my opinion. I probably use the kitchen and dining room build/buy in every build because they are so pretty
not only are the items great, but I honestly love the gameplay especially paired with eco living for the ability to live off-grid (animals, gardens, solar panels, water generators, etc)
This came in at such a perfect time! I just started playing the sims for the first time ever and i had no idea what packs were considered good!

my toxic trait is that i LOVE strangerville purely because the CAS, Build, and World all slap. its so good. the gameplay is awful but the AESTHETICS... the OUTFITS... i use that one baja hoodie on so many of my male sims

But the empty mansions are a huge problem. I use the build stuff all the time and while I don't use the world that often I do like it.

I like the world and the outfits. I’m from AZ so I enjoy seeing a world that reminds me of home
Thisss and the only problem with the gameplay is that you can only do it once but on the other hand you still get the world and build items so I think it’s no biggie
when i make a new save the first thing i do is speedrun the strangerville plotline so i can use the world like a regular neighborhood 😭😭😭😭😭 the desert is absolutely beautiful in the pack and victorians are my number 1 favorite architecture style
I really like how you explained why you rank them like you do. Makes it easier for us to decide for ourselves. For example I never take photos in game so Moschino would be a waste of money for me. But I play a lot with Jungle Adventure so its a need it for me.
I actually love Strangerville. I enjoyed the play through of the mystery when I first got it, and I love the world. I don't have any issues using it in new saves - if you don't pursue the story it doesn't progress beyond the infected townies. I'm a huge sci fi fan so I enjoy the X-Files and Roswell and the world reminds me so much of those shows. When I play in Strangerville I always feel like my Sims know that weird things are going on in their town, but that everyone knows not to talk about it. The infected townies don't creep me out, they're just part of the strange world that my Sims live in. I really liked that The Sims tried something different.
I absolutely know you didn’t just put Romantic Garden and Backyard above laundry!! The decor is AMAZING 😤😔😭
The gameplay of laundry sucks.. the decor is nice. I just feel like they failed to do more with the gameplay.. all it really does is give you a weak negative or positive moodlet..
I love that you put Mosquito Stuff at the top, that was my first ever pack and I still love it. And as a builder, I really love the windows that came with it, as well as the cool modern bookshelf, divider and clutter.
I would like to open up a new category called "please EA fix it, i beg". There I would put *strangerville* (would like more replayability and better lots, but the windows and doors are gorgeous, as well as the world), *luxury party stuff* (I think the idea is fun, could be used for weddings n stuff, but the execution... ehm... Maybe they could update it with some new partner dances and more items like a party tent, or even a new career like a party planner) and *island living* (the world is nice and the build stuff is good, too, but the mermaids lack depth and the clean the beach gameplay thing could be more fleshed out, it's a bit boring, like add some turtles, that have to be rescued from plastic nets or something)
*Batuu however* still belongs in the trash. I'm sorry James.
I actually love Del Sol Valley. I just love the view from the lots at the top of the world. I play in that world and San Myshuno the most.
I love the look of Del Sol Valley, but I just feel like there's nothing to do there, like Forgotten Hollow. Beautiful world, but I don't use it because it's small and there's nothing fun there to do. The only time I ever go to DSV is when one of my sims get nominated for an award and I send them to the award ceremony.

Seasons has the best build mode stuff imo. And gameplay too. I used to be a little bitter that it didn't come with a world, but honestly it didn't need one.
You forgot to mention one thing about Cats & Dogs: You can manage your own vet clinic. And it's not as buggy as Dine Out.

The Incheon kit slaps so hard for me. I love Korean fashion. It's way too friggen small tho. Ideally I would love it to come with makeup, furniture AND gameplay.

my favorite packs are (in order) seasons, parenthood, laundry day, and cats and dogs. i’m a bit of a hippie myself so laundry day gets a lot of use in my houses because of the furniture plus the cas is SO CUTE, if i could only have 2 packs it’s would be seasons and laundry day. i also love university because of the cas and i think the bedroom stuff is also pretty cute. just wanted to share my thoughts :)

they started off so strong with Get Together when it came to world size I just don't understand what made them decide to give us less lots and space 😭
When Kayla said that she never has fitness stuff, but sells the earbuds from the pack every save
i use vampires so much for building tbh. I love making victorian houses and so many build items come in handy for it. I also use laundry day build items all the time even if im not using the game play side of it because i like to do boho style tiny homes (i was using it to make tiny homes before tiny homes was a pack)
the gameplay for laundry day can be pretty annoying too, I just had to take laundry away from my sims because of the fire hazard
@@johnnarogers5636 usualy i make sure i have a very handy sim to put the lintless upgrade on the dryer or a neat sim to autonomously clean the lint out to prevent the fires. But yeah, i only have the gameplay side of that pack on a few houses

I always appreciate hearing someone with a lot of sims knowledge break down the packs like this! Sometimes there's aspects of packs that I'm not aware of that are a reason I'd really want the pack (I bought Paranormal for the couch lol. Zero regrets). I v much understand why most people don't like Batuu but I actually like it more than I thought I would. It makes my gf really happy, for starters xD I have a save we play together and she loves visiting Batuu cos she's a giant Star Wars nerd lol. Outside of that, tho, I love more of the build items than I expected to. Not everything is usable but I think it's a nice little detail to place stuff like helmets in kids bedrooms cos maybe the kid is a lil baby nerd! I put the plants in my builds pretty regularly and the light fixtures in particular are really fun. Also, those stone floors. Big fan.
The gameplay in Vampires isn’t something I play around with but it has some of my most used build/buy stuff. Brooding brick and that rot iron fencing, it’s like my go to combo for community lots.
I loved Journey to Batuu, I'm a star wars nerd and the ability to find some of the greatest characters as well as smuggle spice and train as a Jedi was really cool. I built my own Jedi Temple with the stuff from that pack
I think you don't really need to be a fan to like the pack , all not Star Wars fans can play that their Sims go to Disneys Galaxy's Edge .

r.e clubs. i LOVE that you can make clubs out of traits only. Like whenever i have a bro sim i'll make a club of bros and they'll bro hug, watch sports and discuss their conquests together. so much fun.
I just gifted myself City Living and Eco Lifestyle because they were 50% off. So far loving City Living and look forward to trying more of Eco Lifestyle’s gameplay!
I love plopsy, it has good *cross pack* compatability. Especially with cross-stitching and fabrication/candle making and stuff, it makes it easier to have a hobby-side hustle
i'm surprised she ranked city living so high-she never trashes it or anything, but she seemed to like others which she ranked lower more.
I have it and use it all the time--even if your Sims don't live in the city, the festivals are fun and the CAS/Build&Buy items are really nice! I love that it's so different from the suburbia feel of the basegame.
I just bought it and I absolutely love it. I don't even like apartments that much, that's why I kept pushing this pack and prioritizing others. But I think it adds so much to the game: It comes with so many lot traits; some great build and buy stuff, especially paintings; singing is a lot of fun; festivals and food stands make the game much more lively; it adds the arts center which I love; adds a bunch of cool new recipes; the park that comes with the world is my favourite park so far (more for it's surroundings).
@mariana don’t get me wrong, I think it’s a great pack! I don’t have it, but I’d like it. however, simsie rarely sings the praises of city living. I expected her to rank it in like it, so I was surprised by her ranking
I think because it's less about how much she personally likes the packs, and more about how objectively worth it they are. that's how I interpreted this video but I definitely agree, city livings great and it was my first expansion but I could live without it lol
Unpopular Opinion: I love luxury party stuff. If the caterers did their jobs, I would not be upset, but they don't so it's buffet table to the rescue. And I love throwing parties, so honestly a good snag for me during sales times.
Fair. As an alternative though, get your Sim to cook a bunch so you have the food prepared ahead of time or buy a bar and hire a bar-tender. That's just a suggestion for people who don't feel like paying but need alternative suggestions. (Also, there's CC buffet tables by Ravasheen but I haven't tried them, not sure if you need this pack to use it lol plus console players can't access it.) A very good tip though! At some point I need to use that buffet table since I got the pack a long time ago... but I always have trouble finding it in the buy catalog for some reason. It'd be great for weddings. :)
I get so angry when I think about how useless caterers are in The Sims 4. I’ll probably find a way to fix them before EA does.
@@DoveJS I’m going to have to try Ravasheen’s mod, she’s too talented at modding. Yeah it’s pretty difficult to find, I always have to filter by pack to find it because buffet isn’t in the name.
i play on console and it’s safe to say they fixed up my first pet stuff. they made it so you have to buy CAD in a bundle with MFP, but the price of the bundle is the same as any other expansion pack so they basically combined them together free of additional charge.

Get Together (Clubs are so underrated and Winderburg is one of the most stunning world ever, the biggest, the best, and everything is AMAZING)
Get to work (I seriously had so much fun back in 2016 just playing the active careers and aliens. I miss those times. I like this pack)

I recently had to redownload my game and all my DLC, I was shocked to realize that (including the kits & packs I don’t have) there were 49 DLC packs for Sims 4! Which makes me wonder, what is going to be the 50th come the new year 🤔
i spent years thinking i hated the idea of get together and never bought it, and now it's one of the only expansion packs i don't own and i realized i love all the build stuff and the gameplay, though simple ig, seems rly useful to my play style. also didn't it come with cafés or something?

I would love to see a revamp (pun intended) of the vampire pack. I would work on the interactions between vampires, including Vlad, and non-vampires. To me they're too casual with most interactions. Non-vamps should be at least a little afraid when a known vampire is around. Maybe even place a "Afraid +3" as a moodlet in the room that a vampire is in.
I would do something like that as a weakness (there is now undead aura but still) or something easy to get rid by low-ranked powers because if It was a big thing it would be annoyingly lonely to play a vampire, and there's only three vampires in this pack... or, make only dark form scary
id love to see a series where you do a proper in depth review of each of the packs, covering cas, buildmode, gameplay, and worlds
I'd love to see a SimTuber ranking packs based on how well their tags are because there are so many packs that are Game Packs that should actually be Stuff Packs (like Spa Day or Dream Home Decorator, for example) because even though they are good, they doesn't offer enough content to be called "Game Packs" and the same goes for Expansions that should be Game Packs and etc.

i think we can all agree that island living is an ep that should be a game pack... it makes me sad bc i would love if it had more content (mermaid refresh pls) but it just doesn’t offer that much more than vampires or realm of magic tbh

i was so surprised when kayla put laundry day in the meh category and even behind my first pet stuff. i looove laundry day, and i think it adds so much more gameplay. It’s everyday things that just improves your gameplay soo much more. You can both use it by washing machines and stuff but also outside with clothes dryers. Also if you don’t add it, there won’t be laundry and i like that you can choose yourself if you wanna play with it or not!
Laundry day I’d love but the washers and driers are so glitchy and randomly stop working. Fine out I’d use more if one meal didn’t take 6 sim hours. Dream home decorator is awesome for the build stuff and furniture. Love seasons and pets, cottage living and tiny living. Never thought of using the club system to make a friendship group. That might be a game changer for me.
Yeah I found that I have to sell/delete the washers and dryer’s in Build Mode, then buy them again just for them to work properly again. It’s kind of annoying, but I do love the pack.

I’m sure you’ve heard this before, but I’m so impressed with the houses in Snowy Escapes! My family lived in Japan for a couple years and their apartment and the houses I visited were just like the builds-right down to the bathroom layout! And I love the touch of the Sims taking off their shoes when they enter!
Since fitness seems to be such a common hobby in the sims I’m actually happy with the fitness pack and the throw back fit kit-it’s fun to have workout wear options

honestly i think get together and city living are my only necessary expansions. maybe i’m bias because they were my first 2 packs, but i cannot imagine playing the sims without either of the packs

I own everything except for Journey to Batuu, Spooky Stuff, and the kits. I would buy the kits if they ever offered them in a bundle with a nice discount, I'm especially interested in the Moroccan-themed kit and the one with the kitchen but paying five dollars for those when I purchased most of the SPs for that price is just inconceivable to me

I will say this much about Journey to Batuu. It has AMAZING build and buy stuff if you love occult Sims. I play with spellcasters a lot, and the Star Wars pack has a lot of items in it that really flesh out my magical builds and households. I'm also a Star Wars fan, so I don't mind giving my nerdy Sims a few nerdy trinkets on their shelves. But the gameplay of that pack is honestly horrible, so really, just if you like build and buy items and only buy it on sale.
Also, she's right about the stones floors in that pack. They are amazing.
I think the pack is worth the full price , I have bought it on sale and I don't understand the hate . The clothes are also amazing .

Thr best things you can get in my opinion are Realm of Magic, Jungle Adventure, Get Famous and Cottage Living. They have awesome Gameplay but they don't force you to use them if you want to skip out on their aspects for a game or two. As for stuff packs, I think Vintage glamour is nice because it adds the butler and romantic garden stuff is also really nice!
I immediately agree with your first 3 *needed* packs. Mainly because they all feature things that I think should be in the "base" game of any life simulator game: weather, rented housing, pets. I'd also add parenthood because, like, the game is about getting rich and having kids... this should not cost extra, but if you're gonna get the game at all, you should get those 4 packs too.

I love seasons and city living, university is fun too. That’s the expansion packs I have this far and those three honestly makes for a more realistic gameplay too with the whole process of applying for university and gaining skills through the courses, having seasons and the different festive days really makes for a realistic situation. City living is just too much fun, I love the apartments and the singing skill alone is worth the money! I almost die laughing every time when a sim has low singing skill, I also love the festivals around the city and the various food stalls scattered around. I got to try city living this summer for some days and I just instantly felt that it was an expansion that would improve my game, so I bought it shortly after.
I could have tried island living recently but I didn’t take that offer as I just felt that it probably wouldn’t be up my alley at all when it comes to gameplay and such. I’d probably enjoy snowy escapes more than island living tbh. But one thing I do miss from sims 3 and would love to see in sims 4: Generations! I just loved generations in sims 3, and sadly can’t install it on my current computer because some random number generator stole my code so I can’t register my copy of the game on the website which means I can’t download it from origin again unless paying for the expansion again and I’m so not willing to do that, I already bought it once dammit!

I'm here to vouch for Vintage Glamour. It's got some AMAZING cas items, new bedroom stuff, the vanity? Wonderful. Love it. (it could also be because I don't have many packs but eh)
I LOVE the cas stuff from vampires and realm of magic. Like dark cottagecore that’s like lowkey ✨spicy✨ is my desired aesthetic. The sheer top from vampires is amazing. Also I feel like the build stuff from those two packs go so well together; once again, gothic cottages. Same thing with get together and city living. Those two packs just go hand in hand with the build stuff and the cas stuff. I love the aesthetics of those packs, and I love playing with vampires.
I love Spooky Stuff. Halloween has always been my favorite holiday, and cute spooky is pretty literally "my brand" lol. When I got TS4 my first purchase was Spooky Stuff. I also learned later that that Stuff Pack is what enables you to have Halloween things as event options in the calendar if you have Seasons. I assumed Halloween came as a basic holiday in Seasons, but a friend who got Seasons before Spooky Stuff told me nah, you don't get those options unless you already have Spooky Stuff. I did already have it, so I didn't notice!

i bought get to work for myself bc i have almost every other expansion pack (just need snowy escape, get famous, and eco lifestyle) bc i felt like i was missing that gameplay but i explored it after i bought it and i was so underwhelmed. i’m so glad i didn’t pay full price for it bc i regret buying it

I was thinking about coop stuff too but then it'd probably pose as a problem for people who have cc on their sims as the other players wouldn't be able to see it unless they have the same cc downloaded on theirs? Im not entirely sure if thats how it works tho.
This does exist but it may not be available to everyday players yet (and it's a mod), I know Kayla has been in at least one video using it

I...actually kinda like Batuu. Sure it's not gameplay you use everyday, but like Kayla pointed out, that's the case with many of the packs. I'd rather have my Sims journey to Batuu and hang out with Kylo Ren a bit than go through the whole University gameplay, for instance

there should be a bonus category called “this should just be basegame” which i think seasons and pets both fall solidly under, maybe even parenthood and university. in my earnest opinion packs are for wackier things like vacation destinations, occults, and being a celebrity
Unpopular opinion , but Seasons should not be in the basegame because it would make the game too hard for the beginners . I don't know how the game is of other players , but it rains too much in my game .... it rains over 70% of the time . In the winter your Sims can very easy freeze to death , in the the summer they can easy die by heat . :(
Outdoor retreat needs an update! I enjoy to have my sims go camping but it’s a little bit repetitive because there is not a lot of activities to do. I feel like (since it’s the first sims 4 pack) it’s much lower on the list compared to parenthood, dream home decorator, etc. If there were more activities we would be able to use it a lot more often and it would be more popular in the sims 4 community.
Incheon Arrivals kit added some gorgeous layers and textures to CAS (although I don't like the shoes it came with), so out of all the kits, it's my favorite. I use the layered full body outfits in every one of my saves, I swear. I also love the shoes that came with Cottage Living, and I love the build/buy objects in Tiny Living and Dream Home Decorator.
I wish you didn’t have to go out of your way to turn your sim into a vampire I wish every time you get bitten by a vampire there’s a small chance of you turning into a vampire (like risky woohoo) there’s ways to undo it if a vampire sim doesn’t fit with the story (either through gameplay or cheats) and I think it would add a fun level of chaos to the game
I only bought the first 3 kits, and ngl, the bust the dust kit is the only one I don't regret. I always purposely let my house get dusty just so I can have a dust bunny. I have one named Chai in one of my households and I absolutely adore her. Dust bunnies are adorable 🥺🥺🥺
Although I do share the feeling respecting Strangerville, I think it's also important to notice that the concept is going for a literal ghost town, like a façade for a militar training camp, so it's only normal for structures to be empty on the inside. What is unforgivable is that sometimes the outsides are just- terrible.
I think what makes a pack worth it for me is mostly job choices, because I remember back in the days of playing the other, older Sims games, I always maxxed out all the careers available. It was my self-proclaimed qualification to "beat" the game.

Parenthood is good , but it got one negative thing ........ the popup questions that ask you what you should say to the child . I wish it would be possible to turn off all the question .

One of my favorites is the Spellcaster pack. 90% of my Sims are spellcasters simply because of the shenanigans they can pull off or how OP the needs potions are.
