As MKBHD said, don’t think of every new iPhone as a ground breaking device, instead think of it as a small upgrade like a 2023 Toyota Camry to a 2024 Toyota Camry. Someone who is driving a 2016 Toyota Camry will buy the 2024 and think it’s a great upgrade while a 2023 driver might not think much of it. IMO we really can’t expect them to be making crazy technological advances every single year with the phone.

AirPods - they are going to be amazing for sure - every apple user knows that. But the phone aspect- I think they spent to much time on the camera/video capabilities. Why spend that much time on something 2% uses ? Honestly, yes is a beautiful piece of engineering and the technology is amazing. But is it really an “everyday use feature” ? I was hoping they’d give us examples of the AI upgrade. What do you think ?

titanium isn't even that strong, only about as strong as low grade steel. Titanium is most known for how light weight and heat resistant it is, making it an alternative to aluminum for fighter jets.
Titanium is the strongest metal that has lower strength to weight ratio and also not brittle non allergic and half the density of Steel. So yeah it's a great premium choice.
When I saw the pro getting revealed, it honestly felt like one of those trashy youtube concept advertisements. Never thought I would see something like that in an actual apple event nonetheless.
Born in 82, and I can tell you they are way more advanced than anyone could imagine, but I don’t expect people who only use their phones for dumb things such as social media or RUclips to understand.
It just shows the end of the phones is near. AI will shine once it binds into mixed reality glasses, until then we'll see lots of AI gimmicks all over the place.

Honestly the Samsungs are kinda junk, too. And I'm writing this on my S21 Ultra. We were going in such an amazing direction from 2016-2018, but these big phone manufacturers dropped off quickly in engineering and design after that.

Some great improvements this year, unfortunately it was all leaked beforehand so there wasn't anything in the event itself that really shocked me. But... bigger screen, bigger battery, 4k120 video, 5x zoom on the regular Pro model, the dedicated camera button... these are all, for me, HUGE positives. I think people want the phone to look different in a discernable way... and fair enough... but that's a pretty minor gripe all things considered. For me the real disappointment is that I was hoping there would be further advances in "Spatial Video" and while spatial photos is cool, I was really hoping for more than just basic 3D. True spatial video is volumetric, and I feel like it ought to have taken advantage of the lidar scanner in some way. The lidar scanner on the pro models seems severely under utilized by Apple!
As basic as Apple is its solid durable and still move blazing fast years later android after 1 year the software glitches and battery gets super hot so I'll never go back to android I have a iPhone 13 pro max and it still works like the day I bought it and FaceTime, messages, emojis, os, ui just dogging android forEVERRRRRR 😅

The iPhone 16 series doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade, and it feels like Apple isn’t being creative anymore. I’ll keep using my iPhone X for another year since it still works well for me. Maybe it's time we send a message to Apple by not buying the 16 Pro lineup.
The iPhone upgrades are in the working side of iPhone users, normal users don’t understand that because they don’t use those features but just because one doesn’t, it does not mean a good portion of the user base don’t use those features. Over all bigger screen, bigger battery and better performance is greatly welcome, specially for someone like me that’s upgrading from an iPhone 12 mini.

MP don't mean anything- a 12MP dlsr camera will smash your 200MP phone lmao cheap boi. What matters is the size of the camera lens, not MP, but phones never advertise Lens size because they know it's pathetic phones have pathetic cameras. When Apple went from 12MP to 48mp there was zero increase in image quality because the lens stayed the same. Higher MP = scam to sell you more online data storage

the battery is 10% larger on the 16 pro while also being more efficient. there were many rumors of an improved thermal design but i dont think its been confirmed in this event. the display is pretty much the same afaik
Exactly, I'm pretty happy with my 13, it does everything I need and probably more which I don't need, the only thing that makes me look for the 15 currently it's the USB-C port, using only one charger for my MacBook and my iPhone would be great. But I'll only upgrade after my 13 dies lol

And a more powerful processor. It makes no sense why anyone would choose iphone over samsung these days.

The iPhone 16 series doesn’t seem like much of an upgrade, and it feels like Apple isn’t being creative anymore. I’ll keep using my iPhone X for another year since it still works well for me. Maybe it's time we send a message to Apple by not buying the 16 Pro lineup.
The iPhone upgrades are in the working side of iPhone users, normal users don’t understand that because they don’t use those features but just because one doesn’t, it does not mean a good portion of the user base don’t use those features. Over all bigger screen, bigger battery and better performance is greatly welcome, specially for someone like me that’s upgrading from an iPhone 12 mini.

@@victoryoutube591 Trust me the pics will look better at even 50x on those phones especially at night because of the bigger sensor which I didn't clarify. This iphone on paper, has the same telephoto as the 15 pro. Plus, it's the most expensive, so there's no excuse to not have the best camera set
MP don't mean anything- a 12MP dlsr camera will smash your 200MP phone lmao cheap boi. What matters is the size of the camera lens, not MP, but phones never advertise Lens size because they know it's pathetic phones have pathetic cameras. When Apple went from 12MP to 48mp there was zero increase in image quality because the lens stayed the same. Higher MP = scam to sell you more online data storage
If you have an iPhone 12 or older better buy an iPhone 15 it's almost totally the same thing 🤷♂️

This "innovation" reminds me of Sony phones from 15 years ago, with the same camera button design. Apple has been lying in bed waiting to be fed for too long, so I'm ready to switch to Huawei. It's time to let Apple feel the pressure and sense the crisis.

the battery is 10% larger on the 16 pro while also being more efficient. there were many rumors of an improved thermal design but i dont think its been confirmed in this event. the display is pretty much the same afaik

Been upgrading every year but this felt like a slap to the face. Will stick to 15 pro.
So the only thing that matters is the colour, desert titanium and the size being 6.9 inches

Good Choice. I've had notes (now known as ultras) for the last several years and I definitely feel I got my money's worth.
Despite the S24 Ultra having a couple issues, it is the phone to beat in 2024, along with the OnePlus 12.

Exactly, I'm pretty happy with my 13, it does everything I need and probably more which I don't need, the only thing that makes me look for the 15 currently it's the USB-C port, using only one charger for my MacBook and my iPhone would be great. But I'll only upgrade after my 13 dies lol

if not on a iPhone 15, this is a great time to upgrade. Good improvements, AI, awesome new camera features, and more. Nothing ground breaking but it is a definite decision factor for those holding out.

Thety only used flowering words that we are tired of hearing like "this new processor is 20%-30% faster", "taking photos "faster", etc. But it is basically the same except for the new camera button. Also basic models are still 60 Hz like wth, my cheap Barbie toy phone is the same like 60 Hz lol.

The s24 ultra has 60 fps 8k video with built-in stabilizers, 200 MP resolution photo camera. 50mp mega zoom with google Intelligence photo upgrading, has the biggest display of any phone with 8k screen resolution. And a more powerful processor. It makes no sense why anyone would choose iphone over samsung these days.

Gotta admit, the camera upgrades look cool, but I feel like they just keep recycling old stuff 🤷♂️. The 4K at 120fps is a nice touch for video though! Wish they'd focus more on unique features, not just shiny colors. 🌈📱
For the 15 pro it was the new titanium body that made the iPhone feel new. So this is basically 99% the same thing. Btw the 16 took back the 12’s camera design
