I love Vintage Glamour just because I love putting vanity tables in my teen rooms (I never really actually use them I just think it's neat to have them) and I always play with butlers. Like as soon as my sim can afford it I move in a butler who does literally everything for me and I love it
Sims team saw this video and went "Kayla wants more kitchen stuff! We have to bring back stuff packs!" - so now we got a stand mixer. lol On a side note: Romantic Garden was the first stuff pack I bought when I started playing Sims 4 and I use it constantly, especially with Cottage Living. My other favs are Laundry Day, Nifty Knitting, and Paranormal - cause they go really well together as far as my vibes.
vintage glamour is my favorite stuff pack. i bought it with get famous and i think the two go together really well if you play with an old school/traditional rich sim like judith ward. i adore the vanity table because and the makeup isn't even that bad. the animations are surprisingly detailed and children can also play around with make up. i am definitely biased, because i love the vintage glamour aesthetic.
It IS very niche and specific, but Spooky is one of my personal favorites because I'm really into Halloween in my everyday life decor, so it is must have for me. Paranormal just made it even better having things along those lines! For me those two are top tier, but I fully understand that not every player wants Spooky Stuff. (Also love Tiny Living and Nifty Knitting.)
Fun interaction with the globe bar - If a child sim investigates it, they spin it and you can just hear all the glass just shattering lmao but it's fine cause it's the sims
When I build in the sims, my favorite room to build is the kitchen, so Cool Kitchen was a hit for me. I understand why others may not like it though, it's not for everyone. Although I do agree about the small kitchen appliance problem... sometimes I'll discover old ice cream laying around that I never knew of
personally i love my first pet stuff despite needing cats and dogs. I always have my child and teen sims take care of a hampster or something for easy responsibility points and all of the animal furniture is really cute.
I saw romantic garden in this video and… yes. Just yes. So cool. Romantic garden, nifty knitting and tiny living are by far the most appealing to me, especially the former and the latter. Absolutely must keep this video in mind for the future. These sets of videos have been soooo useful, Kayla! Thank you!!
“You know how your Sims are always making coffee for no reason and then it just spoils in there?” I THOUGHT MY SIM WAS JUST ANNOYING. Nice to know it’s not just mine and that I’m very justified in having gotten rid of my coffee maker. 😌
Anyway, tip for everyone: put the photo studio in a room, lure your Sims in there and lock the door so they can't leave. Because if you initiate taking a photo with more than one Sim, you have to wait for them to walk over, and your Sims can be totally out of sync with one arriving to do it when the other has given up waiting and walked off. So get them in that lockable room first, then you have a captive audience and you can get the photos done and very little in-game time is wasted. And if you can't lock them inside somewhere, get all the sims into the same spot very close to the camera first and pause the game, they cannot be given any chance to walk away, then initiate the photo taking. Basically: do not give photo commands with Sims in different places and no one near the actual camera, you are setting yourself up for disappointment. It's kinda funny that the luxury clothing brand collab has the more forget about it, don't use it CAS, but good build stuff and good gameplay. Irony. So despite the CAS and despite the difficulty, I would still get Moschino stuff pack. In my 100 baby challenge I have a gallery wall of portraits of all the children as adults, one with their mom, and a portrait of the father. Before I had the pack my pictures were so very sad and disappointing.
I really enjoy Tiny Living and am getting Nifty Knitting and Paranormal, maybe others too and they are so good, they really need to bring them back because they were affordable and also had good amounts of stuff
I could not tell you why, but watching a Sim sit in a rocking chair and knit soothes my soul. It also freaks me out a little when you play at triple speed, but it's just really nice.
I love my first pet stuff. The furniture is in all of my builds. I love the couches, and the coffee table, the cat lamp, and the rodents. She didnt even mention that your rodent can travel and send you post cards. It's so cute. And now it's free when you buy cats and dogs so they fixed that mistake.
I bought cats&dogs around time when it was released and now I'd have to pay for my first pet stuff so I can't really tell the issue was fixed like you stated
Interesting, does lilsimsie not know that the bird feeder in backyard stuff also has game play where you can watch the birds and they might attack you? I love that you can scent your laundry and it adds to the happiness levels of your sim to sweetly scented laundry. Controversial but I love moschino stuff. Love that witches excel faster in the paranormal pack and that it’s sort of a hidden thing in the game.
Paranormal pack is the most fun I had in sims in years. The bonding between you and your house (and Guidry of course) is a fresh and unique experience. I also love how it has slight Louisiana voodoo vibe to it. Much better than majority of their expansion packs, so definitely top tier.
Unpopular opinion: I don't hate My First Pet Stuff anymore - at first yes I was disappointed in it but I kind of now love some of my sims to have a small pet like a Hamster and I think it's well done with what the small pets can do. There could be more objects in that pack but the gameplay with like a hamster is really cute and they even show in the relationships as this cute little friend
Honestly I think it is a good pack. I think there is around as much stuff than other packs have. The only bad side to it is that it should have been part of cats and dogs. Other than that the gameplay is good, it adds decent amount of stuff and it fits well to kids rooms. So I actually really like it. Very underrated pack!
Some other gameplay elements to bear in mind which I think is probably easy to forget when you have all the packs - - spooky day also comes with trick or treating and Halloween parties - fitness stuff pack also comes with headphones and being able to work out using the TV
Paranormal and Nifty Knitting Stuff Packs ROCK! At any age, Sim kids are like potato chips. You can't just have one! Any pack for kids is worth the price in my book.
Recently for the Christmas sale (I believe it’s till 7th of January, correct me if I am wrong: so go get them packs!) I was able to buy the expansion pack- Cats and Dogs for 50% off. When you go to the final page of purchase I believe, it’ll display that you get both Cats and Dogs AND the My First Let Stuff Pack as well. Great deal! Considering that Cats and Dogs NEVER EVER get 50% off (always only 25% or sm) and you get the stuff pack as well, I would highly recommend it if you don’t have both of ‘em.
i enjoy bowling in real life so i was excited about this pack. the workout pack was a flop for me because i wanted different workout machines and maybe some yoga type stuff. ive said it on i think every one of these ranking videos, but what i really want to happen is i want a RANDOM PACK that allows you to pick maybe up to 20 (or another reasonable number) of items CAS or build from wherever you want and create your own pack from all of the different ones. allowing someone to for instance get the camera from the "mosquito pack" and nothing else with maybe all the CAS from outdoor retreat, and the build stuff from island living or something. i think that would help alot for people.
also with nifty knitting they added a sweater curse, so when you give a sweater as a gift to your sim's significant other, they can't do romantic interactions, unless you want it to go horribly, so that's also an interesting gameplay feature
I recently caved and bought two CAS kits, including Moonlight Chic, on Steam. Moonlight Chic has been glitched on Steam since the High School Years was released; two items in the kit are broken. That's 5 months that Steam and EA have been selling a broken kit. I applied for a refund for the dlc but was refused because I played the Sims for over 2 hours after installing the dlc. This time was spent first finding the broken content, then repairing the game, researching the glitch and even completely reinstalling the game before asking for a refund within 24 hours of my purchase. I'm really not happy right now.
For me, Vintage Glamour is a MUST. HAVE. Soley for the BUTLER. Butlers are SO amazing. Especially if you play legacy challenges/100 baby challenge. They cook for you, clean for you, and take care of the children. They are essentially a live-in nanny, maid, and cook in one. I have not played one family where I don't have a butler.
With the vanity table you could do the makeup of your child sims, if they have the creative trait or if they have a high creativity skill, the makeup will be better... i like this cuz i could pretend and make them mess with their parents makeup
The way i see it is if you use cas a lot get the knitting pack (theres a cheat to unlock the knitted stuff), if you like building get tiny living, and if you like gameplay get paranormal stuff (honestly theres enough gameplay that it could pass as a game pack imo)
Since we're talking about favourite here's mine. - Expansions build stuff - cottage living, city Living - Expansion gameplay stuff - get together, high school years - Game pack build stuff - parenthood - game pack gameplay stuff - spa day Stuff pack - tiny living Kits Pastel pop
Dan was really trolling Kayla with leaving in the extra takes for this video lol. I wonder if she stole all the blankets the night before or something 😝
The luxury party stuff pack, if released now, would barely qualify as a kit. If you make the error of placing the pop corn maker somewhere in the house, your Sims will eat pop corn non-stop. Even when sated. They'll get upset stomach from it, but still insist to have a mostly pop corn based diet. Backyard stuff. I like the wind shims. Your Sims also like, even love them. Just don't put to many of them around... I once made a monstrous house with a three alley bowling in the living room... The climbing wall build the fitness skill and the climbing skill if you also have Snowy Escape. Nice preparation before going mountaineering. I tried Laundry Day in a pirated version of the game, and it was beyond irritating. Dirty clothes everywhere, in particular right next to the empty laundry baskets. My rating : Delete. I ALWAYS have a rocking chair in my houses.
Honestly I love Vintage Glamour just for the CAS lol. And in my opinion, Moschino is worth it just for the tripod, it's such a convenient item to have! I don't have a ton of stuff packs yet, but Paranormal was also a must-have for me. I love the CAS, I love the build/buy, I love the gameplay, I love the added characters. It truly is a top tier pack!
I think the kits were suppose to be stuff packs and other expansions, but with sims 5 underway, they don’t want to spend as much time curating packs, so they’re just releasing things as kits to get the content out there and make money off of it.
I also think that the pandemic played a role - they probably had to work remotely for a while and I can only imagine how hard it would be to match the designs with animations and everything without seeing each others process in person. Not a kits-fan personally but I guess they were a manageable alternative for them
Simmer alert how did we not think of this so I was scrolling through the doors I saw the vintage glamor door looked at the swatches because I honestly forget it existed and saw the red swatch it's a barn door we all struggle to find one and it looked like a red traditional barn 😱
i have the laundry day stuff pack and let me tell you, this should've been a kit. i like the pack because it let's players add something from their everyday lives to the game, but there is NO reason for this to be a stuff pack. it doesn't come with THAT many new items.
I would love packs inspired by different regions/ cultures/ countries. Getting typical decor, furniture, clothing, food,... would be so nice. You could recreate your own culture more accurately or dive into another one. I think it would be a great addition to this more American inspired game
Laundry stuff is my number one used stuff pack. Not even the washer and dyers necessarily! The cas items are cute and the I use the hutches in every house it'll fit in lol.
I love luxury party! It had much needed formal cas when it came out. I didn’t know about cc back then, so it was even more crucial for me. I think it gets way too much hate, but I can see that it is smaller. I just love all the items, cas especially!
They were getting so good at stuff packs too. Nifty Knitting, Tiny Living, and Paranormal are top tier

I bought vintage glamor primarily for my vampires but if I’m not playing with a vampire, I don’t really use it
personally i love my first pet stuff despite needing cats and dogs.
Thank you!!
“You know how your Sims are always making coffee for no reason and then it just spoils in there?”
I THOUGHT MY SIM WAS JUST ANNOYING. Nice to know it’s not just mine and that I’m very justified in having gotten rid of my coffee maker. 😌
I agree with all the must haves in Kayla’s list. And yes, Moschino is a MUST for the camera alone!!!
I discovered this channel 2 days ago and was literally looking for this video- it’s like you read my mind thank you for uploading (new subscriber)
Welcome to the community 😊
They need to bring back stuff packs
And cancel kits! 😭
@@zetka_ yessss 😭😭😭😭
IMMEDIATELY
I love your name!
@@rachelvmayhill thanks!
who knew one year later we would get one of the best kitchen building stuff packs?
I miss them so much! Paranormal was like the best one they ever did. Also the way Snap jumps up on the desk and then just sits and looks at you lol 😻
Currently “My first pet” is a free DLC :) Hopefully it stays that way
Anyway, tip for everyone: put the photo studio in a room, lure your Sims in there and lock the door so they can't leave.
It also freaks me out a little when you play at triple speed, but it's just really nice.
watching this video with home chef hustle hindsight is so funny
This is Snap's world, we're all just living in it.
Very underrated pack!
i wish they added reptiles too, it would not have been that hard
I use the decor all the time for my sims dogs especially the egg bed
i love the idea and aesthetic of the laundry pack but my sims washing machines literally break ALL THE TIME so i end up not using them a lot
Moschino is my favorite stuff pack and I seriously can't live without it- FINALLY SOMEONE GIVES IT THE LOVE IT DESERVES
Some other gameplay elements to bear in mind which I think is probably easy to forget when you have all the packs -
- spooky day also comes with trick or treating and Halloween parties
- fitness stuff pack also comes with headphones and being able to work out using the TV
SPOOKT STUFF HAS TRICK OR TREATING?? WHY HAS NO ONE MENTIONED THIS BEFORE
Romantic garden stuff is probably my favourite. I love the plants and dresses in that pack so much
liked the video as soon as she said “it feels really slimey to add dlc onto dlc” because fr
I loved stuff packs..
I genuinely love these videos, they help me to know which packs I want to spend my money on, seriously saving a lot of us out here much love ❤
Paranormal and Nifty Knitting Stuff Packs ROCK! At any age, Sim kids are like potato chips. You can't just have one! Any pack for kids is worth the price in my book.
The ghost hunter career in paranormal brings back Sims 3 Ambitions memories 😊
When I first got tiny living I created a new save and everything and when I went to go to sleep my sim immediately died
Ill never forget when my 1st gen legacy heir died to being crushed by a murphy bed.
I looooove the fitness pack for the earbuds! I use them for my university students while they do their homework and it raises their fun level :)
Kayla being unsure wether to love or hate Mosquito is far, far too relatable.
Since we're talking about favourite here's mine.
- Expansions build stuff
- cottage living, city Living
- Expansion gameplay stuff
- get together, high school years
- Game pack build stuff
- parenthood
- game pack gameplay stuff
- spa day
Stuff pack
- tiny living
Kits
Pastel pop
Dan was really trolling Kayla with leaving in the extra takes for this video lol. I wonder if she stole all the blankets the night before or something 😝
I need stuff pack comeback let the sim gurus know we need a petition for them to give us more
My absolute NEED IT stuff packs are tiny living, my first pet stuff, and kids room stuff. I use all three in every game!
The nice part of the spooky stuff pack is it adds another type of event. One that's pretty easy to achieve.
Came here just to hear the epic rant about the glowing cube
Home chef hustle: 💃🕺🏻🎉🥳
Loving the fact this video is nearly 40 mins long!
I actually use the fitness stuff furniture a lot for more modern aesthetics because i really like the wood/brown accents with the modern look.
"Yeah your sims can fall .. which is kinda cute"
One of my favourite things about nifty knitting is the added metal station.
Simsie : I don’t like ghosts and stuff
Also simsie : has had a ghost in the background for the past 288990 videos
Nifty knitting has baby onesies and atm that’s literally the most interactive feature to do with babies lol
I'd love to see a video where you describe what you'd like to see in a pack refresh for each of the bottom tier packs, like what you'd do to fix them.
Not a kits-fan personally but I guess they were a manageable alternative for them
That’s true! I’m sure it was hard enough just to design, animate, etc remotely, so kits was probably the easiest way to keep people employed and sane
simsie looking straight at the cat at 6:06
"in fact, its kinda annoying"
Tiny Living is my favorite pack out of everything including expansions. It makes such a difference.
Simmer alert how did we not think of this so I was scrolling through the doors I saw the vintage glamor door looked at the swatches because I honestly forget it existed and saw the red swatch it's a barn door we all struggle to find one and it looked like a red traditional barn 😱
Note this is the original comment if you see any copy's it is not the first one thank you 😎
i love the moschino pack the photographer career is so fun
i have the laundry day stuff pack and let me tell you, this should've been a kit. i like the pack because it let's players add something from their everyday lives to the game, but there is NO reason for this to be a stuff pack. it doesn't come with THAT many new items.
The story about moshquito realm of magic and island living🤣🤣
i am not ashamed to say, i bought the romantic garden pack just for the wishing well
Simsie: this pack sucks but I need it
Me: lol same but with the entirety of the sims 4 😂
I would love packs inspired by different regions/ cultures/ countries. Getting typical decor, furniture, clothing, food,... would be so nice. You could recreate your own culture more accurately or dive into another one. I think it would be a great addition to this more American inspired game
Laundry stuff is my number one used stuff pack. Not even the washer and dyers necessarily! The cas items are cute and the I use the hutches in every house it'll fit in lol.
I also love the paranormal pack. It is floral and so girly. The living room set is so pretty.
I would love to see a ranking on all the ways youve tested to get rich quick. Which one you think is the best and least effective ways to make money
I have watched 2 min and i gotta Say Tiny living is my favorite. I use it in almost every family.
I love luxury party! It had much needed formal cas when it came out. I didn’t know about cc back then, so it was even more crucial for me. I think it gets way too much hate, but I can see that it is smaller. I just love all the items, cas especially!
Me, looking at the luxury party kit while you’re absolutely trashing it: “Omg I can’t wait to buy this pack, this build mode stuff is amazing” 😂
