I love how Shanna named the build "Sister will fix" 😆
That made me giggle. And then I laughed so hard when i saw that the description was just "horse" 😂
So cute😭
Literally laughed so loud at that it's adorable I need a sister to be good at building lol
Now THIS is Dream Home Decorator!!!
No comments that’s weird 🤨
I JUST GOT THAT PACK
Kayla: *Says she's not going to make fun of her sisters build.*
Also Kayla: *Relentlessly tears asunder Shanna's life decisions for an unyielding span of 26 minutes and 39 seconds. *
typical sibling stuff
yeah, they're siblings 🤷♀️😂
typical big sister stuff LMAO
Anytime someone says they’re not going to make fun of their sibling, they’re lying 💀
thats what siblings are for
The Older Sister Vibes of being like "this is a good start! I'm going to completely redo it" is very relatable this episode
lol samee
Now we need a video where little sister goes through and says what changes she likes and doesn't like! Also, maybe this is just me, but I am so curious to see the family that lives there!
Yes! I want to hear what her sister thinks and also want to see the family that lives there.
Came here to say the exact same thing!!
totally agree!!
I want that to
Shanna actually did a decent job starting her ranch build, I too usually get the biggest lot and then quickly get overwhelmed with the amount of space needing filled up and I will usually save and quit halfway through 😅. Happy birthday Shanna!! 🎉🥳🎁🎈🎂
Same lol I finished one recently and have been playing on it, but I still am not that happy with it. I keep thinking there's stuff to change but it's too overwhelming to start so I just endure 😂
One time I wanted to redo the park in willow creek and I quickly got overwhelmed and then I had no park 😂
May or may not be having this problem right now lmao
@@emericcson123 this happens to me. When something irritates me enough I go into build mode and fix it. Slowly fix the build to make it more playable. I’ve made some pretty decent builds this way
Sims builds can be overwhelming. I relate so hard to just walking away from a build before it’s finished.
Fun Fact: the blue swatch for the Horse Ranch counters match the same blue swatch for the Parenthood cabinets, so if you want matching blue tones that would be a good way to use them
also the white wood swatch of the horse ranch cabinets matches the white wood swatch of the island living counters!! i used this combo in a modern farmhouse build i did
@@sunnysside6709 sweet I'll have to check it out!
@@sunnysside6709 Ooo neat gunna use that maybe xD
This is really neat tip awesome will probably try it out in a build.
"I'm going to keep my sister's layout" *15 minutes later...ballin' dinner porch and pool*
As someone who has been watching Kayla since she was just starting her channel, the fact that her siblings are no longer like children is insane to me
this fr!! i’m the same age as her sister, just a few months older, and still it feels weird hearing that she’s now 18 even though i am too lol
ikr!! actually so wild
@@pointsixteen me too 😭i was so shocked to hear we're the same age
i went to school with shanna 😭 not that we were ever friends but we were in the same class once or twice in elementary school. so basically that means i’m famous (joking)
Kayla just dragging her sister build and also catering to her style and build choices. True sibling energy.
I miss her fixer upper series where she’d fix our builds. I’d love to get roasted by her 😂
I didn’t know she used to do that and thought it would make a good series
This series was the best!
this is the most sibling thing ive ever seen in my life ‘oh dont worry ill help you with this thing’ *after two minutes gives up on ‘’’’’minor adjustments’’’’’ and completely alters it to do it how she would have done it in the first place* ‘dont worry dont worry its fine im just fixing - no its okay look if we just add another floor’ peak elder sibling behavior
I've been playing Sims since I was seven and I recently got my brother into it. He hates using wallpapers and his houses are full of drywall. She's actually a really good builder
Your brothers a she? No hate just wondering
@@Idkwhyimhere456 I think the she was meant for the sister in the video and not the brother in the story
@@Idkwhyimhere456I think they meant that “she” as in Shanna, Simsie’s sister, is a good builder compared to their brother bc the brother only uses drywall lol
Oh ok thanks
Yeah most of the wallpapers suck
Shanna honestly did an amazing job. I find building so hard so if anyone makes a halfway decent build, I'm impressed! I'm more of a download an empty home off the gallery and decorate kind of person :)
the genuine consideration and redoing sections according to shanna might like vs kaylas personal taste was really sweet, amid the complete reconstruction of the entire house lmao
I actually really liked Shanna's big barn
samee
Oh !
“I’m just going to make a few tweaks”
*house and barn look completely different*
My mum used to renovate sims 3 base game houses for me when I was younger and these videos always remind me of that happy memory
Kinda sad you changed the barn so much!! I would have loved to see how you'd do the arched roofs.
Facts its tooooo modern! My heart was crushed when she got rid of the front porch
Her build was so nice to begin with it only needed more landscaping…but the new version is nice too
Yeah, I feel like she overhauled it a little too much
Yeah, the build was pretty good to start with. 😂 Better then I could do. But the changed house was also pretty nice. I never know what to do with landscaping l. 😄😄
"I wanna keep a lot of the things that Shanna had before" **instantly deletes the whole kitchen**
I SPAT MY DRINK OUT AND SEARCHED FOR THIS COMMENT AS SOON AS SHE SAID AND DID THAT HAHAH
THE LITTLE SISTER IS BACK AGAIN. I love this build, and her last build aswell
I really would have liked to know what Shanna thought at the end. Also, Happy Birthday to her!
just finished and i feel like this would be an amazing series! it also kinda helped you build in a different style than you usually do
I would absolutely love it if you did a whole series of redoing people's builds while also giving tips and tricks for building. I love seeing how you make subtle changes that make such a big difference in builds!
I noticed you said your not sure what to put in horse stalls, well at the barn that I rode at had rubber mats or a dirt/sand mixture for the floor depending on the stall. Also outdoor areas for shows and practicing (for example jumps) have a gravel or a brown material like dirt, (I’m not sure the name). Love your videos! ❤
Among all the places I rode at they had one of the following: dirt, sand, rubber mats, concrete or the extension of whatever was in the passage. And on top of that they put either shavings or straw. In the riding area, it was usually sand, sometimes just dirt, and one fancy place had like a mixture of shaving and sand.
Yeah for smaller homestead-ish farms the ground is usually dirt with some combination of plywood/regular wood and hors mats that have slowly been absorbed into the dirt over a few decades… and then hay and wood chips or pellets combined on the bottom of the animal stalls.
The bowling pack seems like a weird choice, however I got it. It has my absolute favorite side table. It's a little triangular table, is the perfect height to squeeze into small spaces. I absolutely love it!
Considering that her whole house and barn were covered in stone, I think she'd like the stone backsplash. 🤣
Kayla: I’m actually gonna keep most of the stuff the same, I’m just gonna help her a little bit.
Kayla then completely changes it all. 😅
I almost feel a little bad for her sister lol, the original wasn't even that bad
ngl i haven’t watched it all yet but kayla can make any house good so ik its gonna be AMAZING 🤩
happy birthday to shanna! 🎉
edit - the end result is amazing as expected and i am honestly sort of embarassd now i look at my builds…
This video concept is so funny to me because my sister is exactly the same & i end up having to help her out a lot of the time to fix her builds. It ends up being a bonding activity though and she ends up enjoying the fact that we made a build “together”
My favourite part is when Kayla put a telescope on the porch and said "My sister's gonna love that, your sims can die from that" got me dieing 😂😂
Edit: Happy late birthday shanna 🎉🥳
Idk how difficult this would be logistically, but it would be fun to have you guys do a challenge together where you each get 10 minutes then you have to stop and let the other person build. To make it even harder, you could even set a rule that nothing can be changed after your time is up!
You really should encourage your sister in building. She has a lot of potential!
I loved this kind of video, the way you explained how you do your landscaping was especially helpful. Can't wait to try out your tips in my game!
Working with other people's builds could be a good way to get out of your comfort zone! This looks good, might have to download it
Her barn concept was so gorgeous
Honestly, I have learned so much from you doing little tip video like this, particularly because I can watch as you're doing & explaining things. Please keep doing this type of video when you can - it really does do a lot for those of us not super confident in building yet! 😊
Also: happy birthday, Shanna 🎉
Happy birthday to your sister! It's cool that you have your birthday close to her.
It would be so nice if she did building tips series
My little sister is having her birthday soon (on the 8th), so I am getting her the Horse Ranch pack since she is a literal horse girl in real life. She hasn't play much with the Sims 4 since for a while there was no horses and continued with Sims 3.
Also I built a barn on this lot faking some of the rooms to make it a literal barn with a house on top like LilSimsie did for I believe Justin Guy save.
Update: I sent her the funds to buy the pack with money leftover for whatever she wants. I am enjoying this pack a lot since I manged to get it to download.
I just can’t fathom how you can transform a build like this. That’s true talent you have, kayla.
Also though am I the only one bothered when simie changes the shape of her sister barn and porch. I suppose the house I feel works better. But I liked the original barn shape a lot(could use a better roof tho) and that round porch in the back too.
I felt it would be mean to bring it up, but there’s making a few tweaks and then completely changing it till it’s unrecognizable.
I do think she changed the whole thing a little too much all it really needed was some better roofing and landscaping
@@smoxthybweh It should be dream home decorator rules, no moving or removing walls, can’t change wall height, only changing wallpapers, flooring and landscaping, plus updating furniture.
That’s a renovation imo
Looking forward to seeing her build, and Happy birthday Shanna!
OMG I WAS WAITING FOR ANOTHER ONE OF THESE!!
the floor of horse stalls are usually covered by a rubber mat! the floor of like stables as a whole are almost never wood since it can cause damage to the horses hooves, stone is used the most but there are stables with dirt flooring.
Happy birthday Shanna!! I actually really like what she built initially!! It's daunting to attempt building on a really big lot, proud of you!!!
Happy birthday Shanna! It'd be cool to see her reaction to your renovation 💜
Me: 'wow lilsimsie is great with landscaping, i should try and copy that!'
also me: *places the same three flowers everywhere i can and avoids trees and bushes like they're roadkill*
I love that you put the poop in the household inventory instead of deleting it 😂😂
Aww Happy 18ty birthday to your sister!! I always think it's so cute when you do these with her. 😭✨💙
You usually put dirt in the stalls, so that’s right. But normally (at least, from where I’ve been), the barns main hallway would have concrete flooring, as when a rider is grooming their pony, the horse hairs, hoof dirt, and horse poop may land on the floor, so this way, the floor would be nice and easy to clean, and you would have to worry about wrecking your nice hardwood!
My favourite videos of yours are where you do more explaining. It’s very helpful for those (me) who are still learning to build! 💛 Absolutely love this lot!
The original build was already cute but you did a great job renovating it and making it feel complete! It’s super pretty, I love the vibe of it!🤍
Also, happy birthday Shanna!
I agree with everyone else who has said it: Please consider doing more renovation videos like this! I love you explaining your choices and giving building tips.
The final lot looks so nice ❤
It ended up looking very different from the original look but so awesome 👌
Happy birthday, Shanna! 🧁
I was just waiting for Kayla to make the house smaller and she did 😂😂
Am I the only one who is like it's not what YOU like but what your SISTER likes? I feel you should have kept the wall height and porch and other “small” house size adjustments as she had them. “Its my sister’s build but I will do it in MY style and just redo it all how I like.”
Happy birthday to your sister Shanna! I like the built she did and what you made of it as well. Ranch houses are just so nice!
For being that young, she's a good builder... learning from the best! Just like I'm doing, when watching your videos.
Edit: Happy Birthday Shanna: Lil'lilsimsie! 🎉
I just got back from my 5 day holiday, and this is how is what I am doing. I should be unpacking but I am watching your video. Great video by the way !!
You placing those hydrangeas just reminded me that I don't know how to place many items without picking them out of the catalogue one at a time, so I just went to google and searched "sims 4 placing items sequentially" and found another short on your second channel IMMEDIATELY which just explained it to me in 20 seconds, you're the best 😭😭 (you just hold Shift while placing the object 🙏)
This should be a series where you have your subscribers submit their builds they want help on & you fix them 🥰 love you simsie!
Your houses are always soooo small 😭😭 BUT I still love your channel!💯I think little sis did great!! Happy 18th Birthday Shanna!!👏🏻🎂
My sisters vibe is also modern ranch house and she LOVED when I built her a house in the sims plus loved going thru the build and going "no i dont like that please change this" which was really fun for me too haha
This is one of your most beautiful builds, Kayla! You made such a daunting large space seem cosy even without using debug! Wow!
Happy birthday Shanna! 🎉 I’d love to know what she thought of the build.
I get why electronic arts, asked you to design new houses for one of the expansion packs!
Like damn girl ! You have clearly worked long and hard for this skill, and it shows!❤
I love it when you explain how you are doing thing and give suggestions in your build videos. I think it can be really helpful, even for people who have been playing a long time like I have.
just seeing this vod but I really like the house before and after little simsie dose her roofing magic. good job Shanna
I love this sm like the modern farmhouse style butttt I can’t with the columns at the back door. Like they’re just there to walk into
happy birthday love! 🫶🏼
I actually love the bowling night stuff pack! I rarely use the actual bowling functionality, but im a big fan of the aesthetic and assets. I use the hairs ALL the time, ditto with the build/buy!
Hey LilSimsie I love your videos and play sims as well. I can’t afford any of the packs tho and really want one. It’s fun watching someone with all the packs play the sims. Make me feel like I have the pack 😂
I think a cool series (similar to this) could be people 'comissioning' builds from you e.g. they tell you the sims family they have - the style they want, what the sims hobbies are and the budget and you build the house for them. A bit like a random house prompt generator but for real people and real sims
I love it when you 'splain stuff. I struggle with building out floor plans and roofs. That stone backsplash was so gorgeous! Might have to steal that idea.
Try putting concrete floors for the stalls. Usually that’s what goes in horse’s stalls
Happy birthday to your sister! My birthday is in two days!
Gave me Fixer Upper vibes, I miss when you did those!
This is soooo cute!! The sisterly love just shines through.
i love when lil simsie includes her sister, lil'er simsie, in videos
Happy Birthday to your sister!!!! ❤
This video really helped me out I really struggle with landscaping in the sims so thank you so much for explaining the process
this totally reminds me of your old fixer upper series!! BRING IT BACK!!!
I wish you were my sister. I’m the only one in my family who’s interested in sims and I struggle with building and decorating. I wish I had someone like you!
I actually found joy in building in the game because of your tips. Its so fun to learn more!
i have seriously been looking for the perfect farmhouse with modern home with pool... i mean this is absolutely gorgeous, perfect, and it has been SO hard to find this color scheme on the gallery, i LOVE this!!!
side note: the commentary on how to do things like putting on a roof and landscaping helped out so much, i struggle so so much with those
anyone else LOVE watching simsie build in real time. so much fun. happy bday shanna
Turned out great! Love the simple but nice looking landscaping.
I liked the explanations. I LOVE building stuff in the Sims but I have trouble figuring out how to make it look nice and do landscaping so this was helpful.
I love when you do these fixer-upper kind of things!
i could not build anything close to what Shanna built. i mean when i build houses i end up tearing them down because they are such a eye sore. So my point is even if Kayla never "fixed it" it would look amazing. Great build Shanna i really love it. keep up the good work!
Happy birthday!!! I'm 18 now too, i remember watching you when i was in middle school, and i still watch you now! I love your channel and your videos simsie, it makes me so happy that it continues to grow ❤
I loved all of the explaining. I am an interior designer, game content creator, and builder. I am brand new to the sims, and there is a big learning curve. Thank you for the wonderful content!
This video is actually really helpful with the tips & stuff too !
I love this build soo much!
Really want this pack now 😅
I really like it when youre explain-y! 😅 It's so helpful! I'm currently trying to learn how to build and decorate on Sims 4 to see if I can learn it and then if it might be worth it to buy some new packs and worlds since I only have the base game. I used to play when I was a kid but haven't really dappled in a while so it's a bit of a learning curve! Speaking of curves I did the mistake of as my first build try to do a round house! Wow! So many issues with everything clipping! Never doing that mistake again 😂😂😂
The build tips are so helpful, i love the extra explainy. Any one remember the speed builds when shed just talk about the girl from school she hated?😂😂
I LOVE the remodel. It looks amazing!
my favorite landscaping item is "oopsa daisies". its probably my most used item along with the tiny ceiling light
