Kayla, don't worry, most of us in the cold areas are also hoping for snow. Where I live (Netherlands) it currently sucks because the sun sets by 17:30 and it's constantly raining/storming, however if we get good snow this year, everything is worth it lol. Point is, I get it
There is snow where I live (norway) but its been raining, and snowing all together. Just makes it kinda sad and just slipperly outside. Miss the winters I grew up with, fully snow outside atleast till after new year eve. @@sannabo1248
I live in north sweden... It's been snowing since the beginning of october, it's -5 celcius outside and we get about 6 hours of sunlight a day currently.
I think it would also make things easier for her. She always says it’s hard to see things when you build in the snow so she should wait until the final tour of the house to make it blizzard
I grew up in Minnesota, TERRIBLE winters. The first snow is fun, but it gets old and horrible REAL quick. I moved to Texas in highsxhool. Central Texas has regularly been getting snow for a few years, but I empathize with wanting a little and DESPERATELY wishing it were colder out, especially since I love wearing sweaters and beanies You're allowed to want snow and cold while others desperately want heat and sunshine. The grass is always greener on the other side!
I wish it snowed year round. Minnesota is high up on my list of states to move to. I live in Arkansas. It’s swelteringly hot 80% of the time and then ice storms for winter. I hate the south and have no idea why anyone would move to the south.

Thank you for also saying the weather there is in Celsius so I can understand 🙂 I live in south America and there's 30 to 35 Celsius (86 - 95F) and it is frustrating not to have cold winters. So I can totally relate
Where I live we call this time of year "The Dark Wet" because it rains a lot and gets dark at 4pm. I also wish it would snow because at least that's pretty!
i love winter and cold weather. i am a blankie gal. i am a sweater wearer. i am a pants fan. i love a hat. i went to florida to see my mom over the summer and she didn’t have a SINGLE throw blanket. DEVASTATING. i cannot imagine living like that all year.

this is one of my fave simsie builds I've seen in forever! I think I might try to play in it! seeing brindleton bay all snowy like this + the style of house is SO nostalgic for me being from new England
i think its so cute how ppl who dont get snow picture roofs in snowy places, like that roof (mostly the one on the porch) would probably cave in a rural canadian winter, but its adorable. I just know I'd do the exact opposite if I tried to make a desert home, and i think its cute how each sims builder's builds probably mirror where/how they live in some way
Honestly when building in the sims I don’t think realism matters unless you’re specifically doing a realistic build. As hard as we all try, it’s pretty hard sometimes to do a perfectly realistic build.
I personally LOVE the blue things in your builds. I think it looks so pretty and there is not a single other color that would look better, so please please please keep using the blues!
Hey Kayla, this build is gorg! I would say as someone who lives in the South of New Zealand and grew up in a very cold climate we don't have wooden floors so much. Cozy winter homes here are usually carpeted and the tiled rooms tend to have underfloor heating
As someone who lives in a place with seasons... some people have 'winter decor' that will withstand the cold. But most people's yard decor is summer/spring/fall related LOL so it all goes away during the winter. My own home looks so different during the winter season versus peak summer.. its very empty during the winter since snow/water/salt is all damaging to most patio furniture and such
Love the house, it’s so cozy! I wonder if you were to add ceiling paint, what kind of ceiling texture would you add? Or do you think it’s not worth the extra expense? Love your videos!
for the extra long and awkward bathroom (specifically for bedroom areas) lengths i like to add the closets so it shirks the length but still makes sense
very random, but here in northern norway (where it snows for like 10 months a year) it’s very common to have a little wooden building with a roof where we put the trash can so that the snow doesn’t block the lid. i feel like it’s a nice way to tuck the trash can away but still make it cute in the snow❄️
kayla complaining about the heat is so relatable... last week it was 25⁰C here like what kind of a november is that😭 last year didn't even snow properly so I'm wishing we could get hell of a winter this year, even tho i know it will ruin the city😭
Just came from TikTok and saw that yes, the units/neighbor pack allows up to 6 units and multiple floors! Had to mention it because i am just as excited as Simsie
The good news is if you live in a state that is extremely temperate and you want snow/ winter weather, you can just fly to one of the states that has it and stay a week and enjoy your heart out, then when you get tired of it go back to your home. I lived in Oklahoma for 3 years and we didn’t get pretty fluffy snow, we got sleet and chunks of ice. Now we live in Arizona and the season we try to travel away from is SUMMER!

I always wonder why Kayla and Dan got a house in Florida as opposed to literally anywhere else. I can't imagine any reason other than being close to her family.
Kayla seems (rightfully) very attached to her family, and having family close by as a support system is always a plus. That’s quite literally the only reason I could think to stay, unless you’re a big fan of subtropical weather? lol
Family and support networks are incredibly important! Also I know that they chose for Dan to move to the US rather than Kayla to the UK at least in part because of visa requirements and Snap.
I am also in my winter era (since the day after Halloween) and I love this house!! She should totally use it for the legacy challenge or at least play in it sometime! I also love the teen room wallpaper myself!
Kayla over here worrying about putting a laundry hamper in every room, meanwhile whenever I play with laundry I put one hamper right mext to the washing machine so my sims will actually do the laundry 😅 Ps I love this build so much. Love to see a variety of different items used.

It's such a tiny and probably unrelevant detail, but the fact you translated from Fahrenheit to Celsius made me understand what you mean. So thank you, it really put a giggle on me. November on 30° is woow😅
As an Australian I relate to the longing for a perfect winter wonderland Christmas 🎄
As an Arizonan with temps still going up to 90, I feel your pain!!!
As a snowy-climate person, I appreciate the grill lol. Grilling (and hot tubbing) in sub-zero weather is a thing up north!
I live in Alaska and I still like the winter look! Although it's been unseasonably warm here and our roads are way more icy than usual :(
This is the best house you've made by far!!! it's perfect
I hope Florida isn't to bad. I love fall the mist and the leaves and everything were I live. I don't mind the cosy darkness at all.
I live in a cold area too, and I'm crossing my fingers we get snow soon! It's comforting in some ways
I always wonder why Kayla and Dan got a house in Florida as opposed to literally anywhere else. I can't imagine any reason other than being close to her family.
I'm sure that's the main reason
For a while it was pretty affordable, esp if Dan already had a good job in the area. Now it’s just miserable here
Kayla seems (rightfully) very attached to her family, and having family close by as a support system is always a plus. That’s quite literally the only reason I could think to stay, unless you’re a big fan of subtropical weather? lol
The only reason I’m still in Florida is my family
Family and support networks are incredibly important!
Also I know that they chose for Dan to move to the US rather than Kayla to the UK at least in part because of visa requirements and Snap.
I feel you. Living in the SW our high today was in the 80's.
Snow? No.
I live in Argentina so Winter is far away here, and in the zone I live don't snow. But love the house! 😂❤
I am also in my winter era (since the day after Halloween) and I love this house!! She should totally use it for the legacy challenge or at least play in it sometime!
I also love the teen room wallpaper myself!
Kayla over here worrying about putting a laundry hamper in every room, meanwhile whenever I play with laundry I put one hamper right mext to the washing machine so my sims will actually do the laundry 😅
Ps I love this build so much. Love to see a variety of different items used.
this build is givin' Hallmark Christmas
I live in New Zealand and our November hasn't been Novembering either. Its been so cold and wet. Maybe nature needs to be reminded which hemispheres we live on 😂
KAYLA STOPPPP IM OBSESSED WITH THIS HOUSE 😭😭😭❤❤❤
