I'm so usedto watching you do r2r letsplays at this point that I'd somehow forgotten that I started watching you for house build content
Hahah same!
same
it's hilarious how his channel has completely swapped content
same here!
I watched the build videos for years and years but it took a pandemic to start watching the let's plays, since then I got hooked on Gluon and Deli's videos
The blooming rooms kit is FREE for everyone on PC right now!
Thank you!
Thanks Jana😁
Free plants?!
+
I downloaded with your heads up. Always wanted that one if it went free. Thanks so much!
Tbh, a fence around the pool is AWESOME in the sims, because then you can lock it during winter if you have Seasons, which helps keep your sims alive.
And you know the sims need all the help they can get to stay alive
Or the lock it on a sim if a they annoys you 😂
@@Jojo-cp9bx Yes!! Though you need to tell them that will teach you not to listen to me when I tell you to do something 😂😂
Not gonna lie, I have missed your building videos so much
I just want to say that as someone who doesn't have cable tv and watches RUclips for entertainment I appreciate all these long videos. 10-15 minute videos aren't long enough.
same!
💯
Same here!
Same ❤
Same 😊❤
James : doesn't put the bar in, even if perfect for the space, because it comes from the last party kit. James seconds later, puts the music player from the same kit XDD I laughed so hard ! Great construction ! This house is beautiful
my thoughts exactly xD I think he forgot what kit the record player was from as we do have another one from another kit so that got mixed up in his head. absolutely agree tho that the build is awesome regardless!
To be fair, it doesn’t really affect the space anyway. One can simply switch it out with a wall or floor radio.
@@joyofrandom absolutly ! ^^ but i still found it funny 😆
i thought there was a glitch and this was an old video, okayyyy James Turner build let’s gooo
Sames, gorgeous build nonetheless
So did i xD but I was gonna rewatch it anyway
Same, I thought it was a 2 year old video 😅
Really love the James evolution from "the kids will love it" when throwing together the worst possible kids room, to the "awe it's so cute" James building an adorable toddler room
LOVE LONG-FORM STYLE BUILD CONTENT JUST AS MUCH AS THE SERIES, JAMES!!!
At 37:17 thats the adults dining room. You know how at dinner parties how theres a kids table. Kids in the kitchen adults in the formal room!
exactly! I love the idea of opening the French doors when the whole family's over, that's what it's like at my grandma's
It'd be like my grandparents. They have a formal dining room that's used as a dining room for Christmas and the rest of the time my grandmother used to have her sewing machine on it
James: "I thought this would be a good place for a kitchen bin"
Also James: "forgets kitchen bin*
😂😂😂 Oh no!!
I'm surprised the lot is only $157K! Also can you imagine tending that garden in real life? Boy...
Mannequins come in handy while building: They help when hanging lights, choosing window heights and placing things on the walls. As long as you remember to sell when you're done (I keep the mannie in the front yard when not in use) you will be able to fully reimburse the simoleons.
That's an excellent tip, will be utilising it when I next build.
That's such an amazing tip thank you so much!
Never thought of that! Thx for the tip!
I think being a gameplay and building simmer, you bring a very practical element to your builds. You watch speed builds and download these gorgeous houses but very quickly realise they are not optimised for gameplay (and no hate to the creators, I'm blown away by the talent in this community). I'm guilty of it too in my own game: building something just to look pretty or realistic to real life, but is a pain to play in. But you have struck a good balance of asthetics and functionality.
YES! I have learned so much from James about how to keep my builds “realistic” and visually nice while also playable. He’s always been the biggest influence on my sims building.
it wouldn't be a James house build video without the obligatory forgetting of the kitchen bin
Whoaaaaaa, this house turned out incredible!! The outside is banging, especially the pool area a little seating. My favourite room must be the teen's with a cute balcony :} Also, James got this family a formal dining room, a table in the kitchen, AND outside 😆 They have seats for days!!
Perfect for Family Reunions!
James take this: Coziest House Award 2024
This house is so cozy and love how do you really cared about the playability of the house, I've seen so many houses that are so beautiful but they're terrible when we are playing there 😅 I can't wait to get this house, or maybe trying to do one of these for my Sims considering the stuff you said about the columns and the bookcase situation, I also loved the kids space downstairs, its so pretty.
This one is definitely one of the greatest houses I've seen
This house turned out so well! I love there is a large yard space in the back too for a water slide, rocket ship, or whatever.
wow, i forgot how much i missed the long form build content. the lets plays and challenges are fun of course and i enjoy them! but building is really where you shine, that kids room with the little tv on the floor is everything! this turned out really well detailed without sacrificing any functionality and id love to see more of this style of build content!
And with all the little things added you still managed to forget the bin in the kitchen. 😂😂 Still an amazing build!! Definite download
in his defense, the outdoor trash can is right next door. comically typical for james tho, it's like his personal touch xD
@@kapsican 100% It's one of his adorable quirks at this point. haha
I love where your build style is right now! I was always amazed by the exterior of your houses, but now the interior is also much more lived in, homely and colourful, which is more my preference and i really enjoy it! ^-^
Oh good, I literally just rewatched like 4 episodes of the life stage challenge while doing an overnight at work and now I have a build to lull me to sleep. Thanks James!
I love how homey this is. Everything is so thought out, it’s cozy without being too crowded, not everything is perfectly matched, it’s semi renovated but still has traditional elements, activities are favored over aesthetic. AH this is my new favorite build ever! 😍 I miss your builds so very much and this definitely brought me back. Thank you for this! ❤️
Only one bathroom upstairs? A crime 😆 I'd be changing that free room with two archways into a mirrored bathroom immediately
ok but I knew someone who had a bathroom in a rental with MIRRORS EVERYWHERE (walls! ALL OF THEM! Ceiling! Outside of the bathtub for some godforsaken reason!) and I though that's what you meant and was very concerned why you would want that
@@lynnsibley1172 Ahahaha, what a story!! I cannot imagine having such a bathroom, do not worry 🤗 Though, I caaan imagine the possible lag with this mamy mirrors in one place 💀
i really enjoy when james are building real time on his LP series, so i'm SO glad this build video is also real speed (and very long too!!)
an hour long build video! James really spoils us
Okay, this is positively gorgeous. So many awesome details.
Hope you, Deli, Bowser and Fran are all doing as well as can be expected! That doggo ACL recovery def hits the whole household, especially with such a baby pupper who probably is desperate to play with her big bro.
It’s definitely giving, TheSimSupply ☺️☺️
I remember watching your Sims 3 builds videos (and Deligracy's) 10+ years ago and it makes me so happy, you were both the first Sims RUclipsrs and non-French speakers I followed! Thank you for your amazing content! 🌱
Watching you build without a budget heals my soul 😭 i missed these videos
For the bathroom with no mirror, it would be good if they had shaving mirrors you could put on the counter
The room at the top of the stairs is great for Scouts since you need the chess, crafting & science tables to earn badges. Adding a full length mirror in the house somewhere will help your Sims earn the “Keep Fit” badge with the “practice dancing” option. That’s the fastest way for kids to earn that badge - or possibly lap swimming.
I can't wait to play in this house! This is definitely the kind of house that I imagine if one of my friends as a kid lived here, I'd think they were like royalty or something
I’d love to see you and Deli do a shell challenge where you attempt to build in each others style. I think you’ve done a similar video years ago, but it would be great to see something like that again.
Amazing build. Would love to see you build a house following the basic principles of Feng shui
So nice to see a full build video, I've missed them. And nice for us to have a house from you to use if we do the challenge.
this might be my favorite james build of all time. its so colorful yet harmonious, so cozy yet so spacious. it has so much personality and everything was planned so perfectly. i cannot wait to play in this house!
The fence with landscaping on top is what I've always wanted but never realized I could do! Thanks James! lol. Great build.
The house is great, but I really want to give you kudos for your landscaping in this video. As an ornamental gardener, I approve of the shrub borders you created around the perimeter of this lot, instead of fences, and without using formal hedges. In addition to being aesthetically pleasing, it is a far more environmentally friendly and sustainable way to do this. The flora and fauna will greatly benefit from this method! Job well done, James!
This cottage feels very late 90s to early 00s American houses, like the one you saw at home alone movie but better. I bet james gonna be a very good movie set and prop director
Yes! A James build video!! I just started watching but I think the style you're thinking of is an old colonial home! That's what this seems like to me 🥰 Love this look! 🏡
I love the colours, it feel so cosy and playable and I will defo be downloading this when I have enough money lol
I would love to change the formal dining room. I would knock out the wall between the living room/play space and the dining room, and then turn that dining space into the play space. It would connect the living room directly to the large bathroom/mudroom and give you more space to place the toys and kids stuff. It would also make sense for get togethers because the parents could have some separation from the playing children to talk and hang out while still having direct line of sight to the kids.
This build is honestly so amazing, I am obsessed.
if this house was/is the one to go in the Life Challenge, I think i'd be nice to do a small little cottage on the backyard for Krystoff and his family ❤
The nightlight you have above the bed in the cloud room, I know it's necessary for kids unless you want nightmares. But I tend to make it smaller and put it lower down on a wall, like an actual nightlight. It doesn't have any glitches changing its size with the bracket keys that I've noticed.
I wish the star projecting one had the same powers
Yes! a James Build. It will be a great day.
this is one of the best, most realistic builds i’ve seen in a long time, the kids rooms feel so nostalgic ✨
This is exactly how I build my Sims' houses haha, I'll add some clutter sometimes but mostly I need a clean slate with a lot of space and just nice colors and pieces. I like this house, it looks traditional without straight up turning into a dusty museum like some people tend to do.
I’ve missed your build videos!
The wall on the opposite side of the open doors is a perfect place for a family photo wall, and using the Growing Together Photo Frames is perfect for that as well
I'm a big fan of the rectangle with a sprawling floor plan
Hope bowser is doing better 🌹
I'm French and I had similar French doors from the entry to the living room in my childhood home. They were almost always open though. Approved !
Also I don't think the room for the bath shower combo is weird, when I was in Oz a friend of mine had a just-a-shower-room next to the full bathroom next to the toilet. Made it easy to shower when the roommates are brushing their teeth.
A good roof tip with balconys. put the roof one tile away from the fence/end of balcony, then pull the eve up to it. You will have both a roof the connects and a fence.
Finally, another building video, we have been waiting for aaaaages!
Woohoo! Get that sponsorship money. I'm sure Bowser's vet bills were not cheap. Seriously, great video. I miss watching your builds. Take care! ❤
00:00 - building
20:31 - furnishing
I really love this build! 🥰
OMG A build video?! love love love
I have a foster home mod and this house would be perfect for foster parent sims. it has enough space and different bedrooms for each age group. ❤️
If you want to truly become unhinged with the every lifestage challenge, you could keep going until everyone of Semaj‘s children is an adult with a family of their own. 😂
Expand the household size and just keep adding rooms to the house. Obviously you would only have to do the tasks that are still applicable.
I would love the chaos ❤
I love this! It looks so good for gameplay too which is always a major issue with homes from the gallery. Can't wait to play with this with my current family.
It just hit me what this house reminds me of. The Bigwallet: Seasons house.
The kids sleeping bags would’ve been super cute out on the big balcony! Like they’re having a fun sleepover outside!
This is so thoughtful - for real life layout planning as well.
Love love these long episodes. Thank you for spoiling us. Would be great to see the family from your challenge buy this home and make it their own
this turned out SO good. I feel like this is the hardest I've ever seen James really try at a build, and it definitely paid off. for once I agreed with almost everything he did lol. this house would be so much fun to play with.
this house is so nostalgic of australian/kiwi houses that I still see everywhere, would love to see more houses in the style of other countries as well!
I think you mentioned during the tour at the end that you had been recording this build for 4-5 hours which is wild to me because this would take me multiple 4-5hr sessions to complete! Incredible build. One of my faves.
love how james and deli both uploaded long house building videos today and are playing on the same lot
Love the build! I especially love that bookcase alcove thing. Might have to try something similar on one of my own builds. The cloud room was super cute too, but I feel there was a missed opportunity to use the base game cloud light. Still, super cute. Fun build. Thank you for sharing your videos! I hope that Bowser is doing better too.
Wait this house is perfect for my family I’m playing with now!!! So cute!! And then I can turn the nursery into a walk in closet and then I don’t have to change anything else!! You’re the best James!!
the shower room next to the toilet room cracks me up, imagine you're enjoying a nice bubble bath and you here someone dropping butt nukes next to you LOL
Oh this might be one of my favorites of your builds! It looks so homey~
I love how you go "not everyone has kit" for the bar but you put the record player in 🤣🤣
I really love how the house turned out! Thanks James for uploading a 1hour house building video. This is definitely my kind of therapy 😌
James your builds have always been great, but this is next level. So much better then the grey/white era of the city living penthouse.
A long build video! Takes me back. The house looked kinda sus in the thumbnail to me, but it is indeed lovely! It has a cosy lived-in feel to it that I find quite charming. Also, it'd be cute to see you and Deli collab on a build again, like when you first met. :) You build, she furnishes. Or you can switch it up. Either way, we'd all be happy to see it, I'm sure!
Could you put the litter box underneath the stairs and then put an access door for the cat off of the formal dining room? Obviously using the laser box so your Sim doesn't need to clean it out. Just a thought. I'm so glad you thought to include pets!
James about the Ancient Greece Corinthian columns: 'I like the old school design of them" 😂 Oldest academia!
This house is sooo pretty, I love the landscaping so much!
The only functional item I would recommend is a laundry hamper in the mudroom.... otherwise you have clothes everywhere. Also there is a lack of trashcans in this build.
Looove this type of build/furnishing style! Definitely gonna download this in my game!
i absolutely adore how this house came out! love it so much!
I am deeply impressed by this house. I really love it. I have been watching your content for YEARS and I think this is the best house I have seen ever from anyone
I'm a walls up player, I like to feel immersed in their world, so decorations mean a lot to me and thinking about "it doesn't disappear when the walls are down" doesn't occur to me 😜
Just added this beauty to my legacy family! Thank you, James!!!❤
I am STUNNED by this build! it's so gorgeous! this is a dream house for me tbh ❤
This turned out so good. Really enjoyed the build and the format of the video. Thanks James! 😊
I think this is one of your best builds ever...love the detail with room to grow, it will be easy to add a basement for extra space.. be well always.
At first watching him build the shape I was like wtf am I looking at but as soon as he started adding the roofing details and the columns and the wallpapers and the colors, I saw the vision. I 100% agree this is one the best family houses James has ever done! The outside honestly kinda reminds me of the big Italian villa from call me by your name
I just gotta leave some feedback cause James 👏👏 this was so chill to watch, put me in a great mood, love all your efforts and commentary (plus the random laugh after putting the dining table diagonally) and the house is freaking beautiful!
wow this build is incredible! one of my favourites you've done for sure
James, I am living for these longer videos of yours!
Yay I love watching big family home builds. They’re so fun!
This house looks nice. I liked many of its features. My favorite one is the study table with the bookshelf underneath.
Wow! This looks absolutely stunning. I definitely feel inspired for my next build. Thank you!
The level of decorating genius is high in this video
Really enjoying the mixture of gameplay and build videos lately! You're so good at both.
