I don't get why ppl get mad when you express your opinions about some lack luster packs the sims 4 keep releasing. The sims franchise has had so many great titles and spin-offs, long term fans of the sims know when the sims team isn't performing at their best potiential
I made a comment about how I don’t like a lot of the Seasons and Parenthood packs. There are some things that I like but there are others that I don’t. That is my opinion. People were pissed because I didn’t like what they did. I’ve barely been on Reddit since.
1. What most watchers demand from creators is absolutely insane. They expect everyone to be at a lilsimsie level in terms of how much content is published in a week. Lilsimsie is a great creator, but the costant hardwork she puts in her channel is NOT the rule, it's the exception. Personally as someone who isn't able to donate do creators I enjoy, I'm happy they take the time to make the content instead of having a breakdown everyday because they feel the pressure to be perfect. 2. I cant believe we still have the stereotype that people are so emotional during their period when actually during the menstruation the testosterone increases so much rusulting in us being emotional as any cis man during any day. Make it make sense. 3. People who say you hate the game honestly just dont understand constructive criticism.
Well duh that's why we're, emotional. Like, my roommate is a trans man their emotions skyrocket when they take their testosterone. UPS your emotions but makes it harder for you to actually comprehend how to properly communicate them and raises your aggression.

hi, i didnt comment on your life&death vid because i didnt think you needed to hear it but everything you said resonated with me so much. i hadnt been able to articulate why i keep opening the pack and going straight to the comfort bubble of CAS instead of actual gameplay but you summed it up really well. i'm an autistic girlie too and i have maaaajor pathological demand avoidance and i think it gets hella triggered by this pack in particular even though everything on paper is exactly my dream pack, but i just feel like all the 'to-do' lists are really overwhelming and not fun i put off watching your video for quite a long time bc i had assumed from the thumbnail it was that youtuber clickbait thing of pretending to dislike something and that really annoys me, but when i eventually watched it wasn't like that at all so sorry! i really appreciated everything you had to say. also: lovestruck comes w some pretty appropriate furniture for a swingers bar/dungeon. just putting that out there.
I'm autistic and have one of the WORST jobs (front desk receptionist) you could have as an autistic introvert. I fully understand going non-verbal and having to talk anyway. It happens to me often at work where I'll get overwhelmed and shut down, but have to force myself to keep running on autopilot. It happens the most around my period, so... We all do what we gotta do. This build is so funny and clever... my imagination is running wild with the kitchen utensils, bowling pins, and everything else. 🤣

Holding a conversation is nearly impossible, so it's often a few phrases that are just necessary "niceties" to get to the end of the day. Sometimes it's even just a gesture such as a nod or a wave. I'm also sometimes able to get away with pretending to be busy or doing another task away from the desk if I'm not physically in the freeze response.

I know I'm enjoying The Sims less lately because it feels like publisher EA is just like "monetize those fans harder!!!". Stuff is getting released that makes me wonder if EA is basically forcing the devs to poop out content as fast as possible because the EA execs need to buy more yacht polish?
Pretty sure EA is also just using consumers as quality control for ALL of their crap via the EA forums instead of actually paying people to do gameplay tests before releasing games.
I love Life and Death honestly, it suits my family-story-generational playstyle very well. But I 100% understand it not being for everyone, especially given the price tag for what was basically just quality of life and story telling potential. People who are pressed about it need to touch grass.

after updating my totally legitimate sims 4 copy to play life & death, i agree even more with your pack review of it. the only reason i’m having fun is because ive made a little storyline myself but overall its just a bunch of task checklists that aren’t fun or rewarding. All while being spammed by pop ups from other packs that if i didn’t want the build items i would remove! also why doesn’t tarot decks at least have their own unique busking station? it’s been a nice change to have my sim only make their money through tarot readings but having to hunt a sim down introduce yourself then do a tarot reading is so unnecessary.

Also throwing in that I work in a job where I have no choice but to talk. I also have to talk to military personnel daily. I have to be upbeat and happy when they’re around. I’m also perimenopausal which doesn’t help the situation at all. I’ve had three periods in the last six weeks. I want to curl up and ignore the world.
I know you didn't ask. Potentially disregard this comment. I am not perimenopausal (yet) but I had 20 day cycles 🙃 what helped me extend my cycles to 32 days was taking chaste tree tablets. I talked to my OBGYN first though.
@ I unfortunately have such a list of meds that I take that even taking something as basic as a B vitamin supplement would cause a few negative effects so I’d really have to look into it. I’m also in Canada so finding a doctor is one of the hardest things to do. Even going to a walk-in now requires an appointment for most places. What I would love is to just have anything unnecessary removed but the last time I mentioned that to a doctor he said that I might meet someone and HE might want to have kids.

IMO the negativity is from the reaper's rewards event. For others it never worked, for me it made my game feel empty and less fun once I was done with it, and for many (including me) the lack of flexibility and the fact that new players are not going to get to experience it sucks. It might also be a little the news, but I maintain that a well-rounded, fulfilling game wouldn't leave the community as susceptible as the sims 4 community is. The game is designed to leave us dissatisfied enough to keep buying packs. And that might make this feel less of an escape and more like a continuation of our fears from the real world. Especially financial fears (which I think are pretty much universal regardless of leaning)

Uh, non verbal doesn't mean chose not to speak, it means to stop being able to, temporarily. But you can actually become over talkative too. Because your brain is so overwhelmed that you can't stop talking.

I don’t know what it is but I have had this mental block that’s stopped me from remodelling townie’s houses. For years I’ve had it in my head that that’s what they should look like instead of building the world that I want.
