As someone who is obsessed with character creation and has spent countless hours in CAS, this character creation nearly looks like a dream. I'm amazed.
@@Sim-dil-e-icious You're not wrong, but also genuinely what else can you do? Cause there's only so much you can change when you're making a life sim. Life won't get different only to give game devs the change to not do a similar game to the sims franchise. The differences are in the smaller details and so far it looks good, but it's still in development so there's a lot more to do and improve. The main issue for me is the skintones.
@@oanayuhonestly what’s so bad about the skin tones? They seem fine to me, I don’t get the obsession with having a million swatches. I understand the ones in the sims looked ugly and they had to fix it, but they offer a pretty good range of options in this game and they look good/realistic, what’s the issue? Like there are only 3/4 color eyes, of course those aren’t all the eye colors that exist irl, but it works, it doesn’t have to be YOUR exact eye color or skin color… also I’m sure there will be many mods and CC that will focus on that level of detail. Imo, they should improve the basis of the game, give the users and community a very good base template and leave the rest to the community. What’s the point of having 10000 skin tones if you can’t even have a car or live in an apartment without spending 50 extra bucks.
@@Sim-dil-e-iciousit’s not like the sims was the first life simulation game 💀 what do you expect? Something different? It’s a life sim, it’s simulates life.
The game got the K-Pop trainee career quite right actually. As a trainee in the K-Pop industry, you're not really exposed to the public. Most companies don't publicly reveal their trainees (as most of them fail and only a few qualified trainees get to debut as artists). And these trainees' daily lives are kept secret.
Came in here to say this. When she was going on about how she wanted the zois to perform shows on the streets I was like ermm thats not how kpop goes lmao
@@andedosi I think what she talked about was the "actual" KPOP activities like after debut, in which case I agree, that they should expand the KPOP trainee career to include monthly evaluations, debut preparations, and eventually debuting into an actual KPOP artist...or we can also fail and change career...introducing multiple agencies might be fun too but atp it will just going to be KPOP simulator lmao
@@unhommequicourt People in the industry absolutely do use it to speed their workflows, but it's far from universal and not that much of a game changer for most people, just a tool to help speed them up some.
Seeing as the game is still in development, even all the flaws and drawbacks, the lack of naming for babies, no real reaction to death etc, they can all be changed and improved on if the developers listen to the feedback from the play testers. And i love that. We need developers that listen to what the players request.
i know a lot of people are not a fun of realism, but this game has SO MUCH potential it's actually crazy. Personally I really like realism, even in the job aspects, so I think I'd really enjoy this. It's also so important to support new life sims, especially to force other more famous ones *cough* the sims *coughs* to improve themselves as currently they're extremely lacking, and getting away with wayyyy too much.
Nah, they still look extremely lifeless. Maybe if they update all the animations, but right now, they’re really weird, especially when they’re touching another Zoi, and hands are just hovering over or clipping though the other Zoi, it really breaks the believability. It was especially bad when the mother Zoi was dancing in front of the baby while holding a book, the hand that was holding the book was weirdly stiff. At least with cartoony art styles, broken animations like this don’t affect the believability as much.
@@VirixPhiliano YALL just want Cartoony 3D Pixels, you don’t want realism. But To bad, if anything at-least this game might not be a Pay to play and make you Pay $40 every time they Release an Expansion pack for something that should have already been IN THE GAME. This looks wayyy better than the sims, and if they fix everything up, and the minor glitches, that would be perfect
these graphics are almost too good, i feel like my computer won't even be able to run this game unless theyve done some serious optimization EDIT: yall please give it up and stop telling me to get a better pc. games don't have to run on every rig but game studios have a huge financial incentive to optimize their games so the most people can access it. games with hyperrealistic graphics and lighting tend to run worse so it's logical to be concerned about optimization. it's been months and i still get notifications repeating shit ive already heard 😭 enough already
@@blackbat908 plenty of new games run just fine on setups that are a few years old but most people can't afford to keep up to date enough to play extremely graphic intensive games. all i'm saying is it's a shame i probably won't be able to play this game even though i can run the sims games just fine
The fact that you can control the schedules for family members not in the same household is absolutely incredible. I’m guessing this means that the zois you control don’t all have to live together (unlike sims)? If so, this will really change the game! So excited for this to be released 😆
The bg will be realesed on late 2024.. which means 1 year from now, thats not a long time for a life sim game imo. Even lby bg will be released on around late 2025, and theyve been working on the game for more than 4 years
@@ninii090 idk how it is for you, but for me these are still very basic.. the fact that they dont have pregnancy changes?? Honestly this game doesnt looks like it will be a life sim game, more like an open world visual novels with the cutscenes.. The only positive is their visuals, its soo stunning! I might play the game just for the character customization loll
I actually like that it took longer for the zois to die of hunger, since realistically, it takes quite a while! As long as they’re super uncomfortable for a while at low hunger, I don’t mind it. But I agree with your criticisms about the other features (except the kpop trainee career, the game actually has it accurate), it sucks that you can’t even name your kids… still, this game looks so beautiful and I like the small attention to details. I’ll definitely be getting it upon full release!
As much as I can tell this isn’t final product ready, I am blown away by how many things they nailed from the start from big to small details. How is this the first time I’m even hearing of this game?? It deserves so much recognition already! Edit to add: and while I look forward to see more of this game, I really hope employees behind this are being properly appreciated and not overworked 💜
@@princessm6832agreed. especially when game devs are notoriously so overworked all the time (and korea being a country where all its people are notoriously overworked), I hope the developers are treated alright or at the very least paid well for the work they do
@@princessm6832 Well paid probably. But sure they are overworked. Creating video games is pretty hard for smaller studios. But that's something every developer knows.
i loveee how it looks already but it definitely is lacking the “life” element in simulation but it’s still in dev. they should also consider: - adding the karaoke rooms and zoi’s being able to get drunk while doing it - different personalities and reactions - idols/ groups existing and zoi fan culture surrounding that. maybe even festivals, street performances, and concerts. also the chance of spotting an idol and taking selfies (or selcas I should say) with them - zois going on convenience store dates - more jobs ofc - being able to attend school with the kids (they socialize, learn, eat, and maybe even go to hagwons after school) and if a zoi is a teacher, their job can be interactive as well - diverse hairstyles and more skin tones - different recipes and types of food and drinks. didn’t see anything about that. going out to the kbbq places even with the zoi’s boss as a great would be a nice touch
@@sivan943 plays sims game -> girl... just live your life... plays building game -> girl... just become a builder... plays shooting game -> girl... just murder people...
Yeah, Krafton is a full studio not an indie developer. It's also being developed in Unreal Engine 5 so money + engine and the game is looking good. I just hope gameplay is good.
@@fartyfat6539 As someone who bought PUBG but regretted it (turns out battle royale is not for me), I'm gonna think of it as a worthy investment from now on lol
Well its made with Unreal Engine 5. Many new games made with Unreal Engine 5 could be finished within 1 or 2 years that usually take 3 or 5 years before
this game isn't only have a better graphic and mechanics, but it also included many things that the sims sells as DLC. can't wait for the game to be released.
Oh my god !! This looks amazing! I’m so excited! The graphics are everything to me! But I’m nervous it’s just going to be “pretty” but it lacks feeling with families, relationships and even with their environment. I hope it becomes more lively and filled emotions of real life. Considering it’s in development I’m hoping to see more changes
That’s what’ll happen. It’s what every life sim fails to focus on. Idk why they even bother to make these when they don’t listen to consumers. Ppl are over empty and lonely games.
For such a short development period, I’m extremely impressed! You did an excellent job analyzing the game and pointing out where it is successful and areas that need improvement. Personally: I’d like to echo a few improvements I’d love to see: • Various modes of transportation such as cars, motorcycles, bicycles, skateboards. • A more challenging romance system as well as unrequited love. • Burglars, crime jobs, police officers. • Bars, casinos, hotels, movie theaters • More careers
Tattoos would be an amazing addition to the game, along with custom tattoos where we could select an image file from our computers and place it wherever we want along with tweaking the opacity of the tattoos.
I think as a Korean game, tattoos might be tricky since there are negative attitudes and regulations against towards tattoos there, and even some kpop stars have to hide their tattoos.
@@bananahat3350 thats true but I think even things like body paint exist in other korean games like black desert online so maybe they would be chill with adding it? also depends on if theyre marketing it to the west or not
When you were talking about the clothes looking like they’d be worn by seniors, I thought “what’s the problem then? They look exactly like high school seniors would” - only to find out you were talking about *senior* seniors :’) I had no idea I was looking at old people, which really proves your point!
we as sims players have literally become so desperate 😭 we’re getting sick of the useless, expensive, and recycled game and expansion content and the cash grabs from EA. i have more packs than the average person and TS4 is still unplayable without custom content. so boring without CC. I’m so excited for TA5/project Renee or whatever theyre calling it recently (haven’t kept up in a couple months because ive lost interest in sims… i wonder why), but its also so far in the future. I’m so excited about this one! I think people who prefer TS4 alpha-style CC would enjoy this one.
well i wasn't sure i would even enjoy a very realistic looking life sim. but this actually seems interesting mainly because of the setting just being different from others (usually it's just america and nothing else so i like that they start off with Korea it gives it a new take wich i actually really like because i love it when games take into account different cultures)
Seeing how much has already been done, I'm worried about developers. It seems like they spend an anourmous amount of hours in work. I really hope they've gone home once the work has been done, becouse a year of development is not a long time.
They need to make weather consequences like you get cold and sick when walking in the rain with inappropriate clothes overheat on super hot days ect , and they should add notable characters with story lines like Bella Goth ect characters bring a lot of life to games like this
You don’t actually get a cold from being cold unless it’s hypothermia ie the temperature is extreme and your body can’t withstand. Walking in rain won’t give you an illness. It’s an urban myth. They did studies to disprove it. FYI
What they have so far is beyond impressive, but without the depth in relationships, lifestages and some consequences I couldn't truly consider this worth an investment.Hopefully they spend at least another year adding some fun and engaging gameplay.
I didn’t think I was a big fan of too much realism in characters, but this game has a style that works. I LOVE the schedule feature!!!! As a person who loves family play, I just want that fleshed out. I also see a very young adult-ish style, I’d not only like to see more for family play (that baby all alone 😢), but I agree, more clothes suited for older Zoi. I am ok with it being available for young adult/adult Zoi as well. I like an elder who still dresses like a rock star at 70. But I’d like most my elders to choose to do otherwise. I am so excited about the subway. Even in a closed world, I like realistic travel (Sims 2 did closed world travel really really well, but I always wanted public transport). I really would love if they made the bikes and scooters buyable and useable at the very least. Bikes pair really well with a subway system. I hope the cut scenes are variable. I also hope they open relationships with modders. For a life Sim what many people want can be variable. There are mods some people can’t live without that I don’t want anywhere near my game. Mods allow people to make these choices. And mods have become a frustrating thing people fear on update day of Sims 4. Having internal modding allows so much. Hate to say it, but this new game does make Sims 4 look last Gen. It’s not just the realisim, it’s how the zoi move around the open world. I don’t own bust the dust, but seeing Zoi doing household cleaning made me excited to play household cleaning.
In other channel they said they are thinking in add bikes and car to be drivable but they didnt finish that part yet. They also want people feedback before implemente this part.
@@augusto7681 Hopefully they put in the work on the animations and don’t half at it. I never liked the way sims 3 sims teleported into cars. I wanna see open doors, people sitting down, and being able to travel together properly. Also family play needs to be fixed so a baby can’t be left literally alone all day without consequences.
@loftyludroth To be fair, lasting longer is just modern digital gaming so I don’t count how long Sims 4 has been around as shocking. Until it stops makimg money they will never fully replace it and will pump out DLC. They have no motivation right now to change that. And sometimes old games are better. InZoi is pretty, but is also built in unreal engine 5 for gaming PC specs (right now) and they can just market that to rich people with gaming PCs or they’ll have to work really hard on optimization. Although it’s much easier to get it cleanly working now, inthe Sims 3 people’s PCs just not being able to handle Sims 3 was a struggle. So some of Sims 4’s problems is that it was conteracting Sims 3 issues for shooting to accommodate machines that were last gen in 2014.
I'm not an expert with AI, but I would try adding the word "texture" or better yet "tiling texture" or "seamless texture" to the prompt to get back textures instead of pictures. I know the game's time scale isn't supposed to be realistic with 3 day pregnancies and such, but surviving for 24 hours without food doesn't sound as too long for me. As for 100% relationship and pregnancy success rate and such, I think the game should have two modes: a simulation mode that is more realistic, and a sandbox mode where you're just playing dolls and if you decide this doll marries that doll and they have a baby, then that's what happens.
I agree with the AI part. I've used AI a lot and you just have to be specific, specially because it doesn't have any context of your situation. Adding words like "pattern" or "wallpaper" might help
@@iamthoys Does it really take a wizard to simply analyze the connection between your commands and their execution? I'm not an AI wizard, but it's just simple logic: "It didn't give me a pattern, why, it must be because I didn't ask for a pattern". It's exactly the same process as "I clicked right mouse button wanting for the unit to move, but it deselected the unit instead, it must mean that this game uses right mouse button for deselection and something else for orders, most probably left mouse button, so I should try it next". I would say it should have a checkbox to add "pattern" or something to that effect to your prompt, as that would save you from typing it every time, but there should be an option to turn it off for actual AI wizards to try their own AI wizardry. Actually, maybe you should also be able to change this predetermined extra prompt to your own one. This way everybody will be happy, as casual players can get decent results with default settings, and AI wizards can apply their wizardry and do so with comfort.
I’m surprised by the amount of people who are excited for this and like the visuals? I really think the charm of the sims is that they’re unrealistic. Even if I don’t really love the plastic-y look of sims 4, I adored the cartoonish semi realism of 3. I kinda figured everyone else felt the same way.
I love how you spoke about this game...so people can get a real in-depth feel ...maybe more will be added to the game before it is available. I mean after one year this looks better than some games "that I wont mention" but I loved your overview on this game tysm I have much to look forward to
If you compare that though to the pregnancy, which is 3 days in game but 9 months irl, that means 24 hours in game = 3 months irl in pregnancy. Which kind of contradicts the dying of starvation timing being 24 hours in game = 1 week irl. For continuity I think something has to be changed, but I also agree that it’s a reasonable amount of time for a Zoi to die after not eating. You wouldn’t want them dying more frequently than that if you forget to feed them right ??
@@lexusrental I don't think continuity needs to override the quality of the game mechanics. I think the two independent game mechanics work well regardless of perceived reality of time. Think of it as: the game has certain conditions that require it to be successful/fun >Informs in world mechanics >Informs basic fundamentals of how that game reality operates. So basically sacrificing realism for entertainment.
@@jeanvaljean6433 You don't understand what a lie is. You also agree with my point, but you think you disagree because you don't understand it. I never said he didn't drink coffee or take vitamins dummy.
The concept of this game is literally all I've ever wanted from a life sim. The open world feels like an actual open world and being able to do tasks at work is so cool! I do see what you mean about the emotional aspect with the Zoi's. I can't help but compare it to sims 3 and their emotions seem so much more real than what I saw in this vid. I'm sure this game has a long way to go until it's released to the public but from what you're already able to do in game is really promising!
Im just happy we finally have a viable competitor to the Sims. Maybe the Sims 4 team will get off their highhorse now and actually care about making a good game experience
I feel like if you want something more realistic and aestherically beautiful, this game is perfect (once they fix all the other stuff). But for Sims, personally to me, i play it for the chaos. The unpredictability of interactions, death, etc. And also the humor in the chaos. Zoi feels great for realistic life sim and it gorgeous, but there's not enough chaos. But the builds in Zoi though.... looks so good. They just gotta see what people do in Sims with the CCs and the cheats, and apply it onto the game and the builds will be amazinggg.
I think this game will be a really promising competitor against EA sims games! I believe this will definitely challenge both games to improve, which is great for everyone!
I can't believe this game only took ONE year and it already looks amazing (not just visual-wise) so I'm sure it'll only get better and better. OMG and the cutscenes, we finally have another life simulation game with emotive cutscenes 😭❤️
Great video. I've always dreamt of a photorealistic Sims game so I'm super excited. I definitely agree that they need to improve realism in the gameplay aspect but it seems like they are focused on getting the foundation setup and will be polishing everything later.
I was really worried this was coming from a random first time dev that was aiming for the stars. It’s reassuring to know it’s coming from people who know how to manage a game release and studio management.
When it comes to kpop trainees, the way they're doing it is actually realistic, cause that's more or less how their lives go. Depending on the company's budget and strictness, they can have little to no free time. They don't perform shows until they debut. but they might participate in survival shows with other trainees. Promoting their group on the streets does happen irl, but not if the company is a bigger one. The one in the game looks like it might be a big company in the fictional universe, so there would be no need for street promotions. As far as that goes, I feel like it's one of the most realistic things so far in this game. I'm not much of a family player in general, so I don't mind the newborns being left alone or things like that.
I seriously thought that the Sims 3 was going to be the best life sim till the end of time. But seeing games like this pop up, I realize there is potential for something to be better. For me personally, if this game is good completely depends on extra features added that affect gameplay like all the stuff you have problems with. I am also a player that loves to play custom characters and custom worlds, so being able to edit buildings and the world around me is very important to me. I also like inserting all the NPCs/townies myself, so I will have to see if there is such an option. Also, as someone who lived in South Korea for 5-ish months, I love when games take me back to that time in my life! No doubt I will be playing this game in Korean and pretending I'm living there. Lololol.
I would really love to see different curl patterns in this type of game. I also hope they add more jobs. But it looks stunning and I'm itching to play it lol
Inzoi take the Life Sim too seriously. What make (Old) Sims entertaining is that it is a parody/satire of life. Life is a dramatic theme but EA add humor and wacky world-building that make it stands on its own. The sims characters aren't realistic, they are cartoon-y. 6:10 WHAT?! NO WAY! They include AI?!
I love the LIGHTING, my god. The reflections, shadows, and colors are incredible, so smooth. The room scale seems a little too big, and some fixtures too small, but I love the idea of building in this game!
Thank you for putting the spotlight on this, I had not heard about it at all but this looks so interesting and the lighting is BEAUTIFUL. With more life sim games being developed, it's gonna be really interesting to see the different takes on the genre this is so excitingggg 🌼
I *REALLY* want this game to be great, but judging by the footage that i'm seeing, I don't know... Kinda feels like it lacks personality, I don't really know how to explain but there's a 3D modeling software vibe
The graphics are insane! The game looks really promising. I love the schedule feature! I personally prefer a more cartoonish look but I‘m glad the sims is finally getting more competition!
this is looking soooooooo like something i’d be into! i love the graphics and the little details. the potential is so serious here, i hope they improve on the relationships and interactions and stuff like that
I agree with everything you said, other things I’d like are: 1) being able to go shopping (for both clothing and food, like to change clothing you need to buy them and to eat/cook food you need to buy the ingredients) 2) heights. Even if it’s just 3 presets
Eye and Skin Tone do need a color wheel, I agree. How else am I supposed to make a green goblin. I'm sure when the final game is released, it would be modifiable. Can't wait for the variety of clothing, and other weird stuff like blood and guns created by the community. I need more drama in this world, it's too peaceful - Need to spice shit UP!
for a game that's only been in development for a year im surprised to see that they have as much as they do already. i have high hopes for later versions of this game as it continues development! i think it'll be really impressive
Asian games stoped in the 2000 when we talk about face models, they look all the same and no wrinkles, the afro dude there did not had a very afro looking face, the thing I see is the cranium they model all based on the asians),they all looking like dolls (even the men)... the cranium from an african, norse, american and asian are diferent, those make all diference to notice a different face /person.
This looks absolutely amazing and SUPER promising. One tidbit of feedback is with the death scene in the streeet 20:11 - was the first instance that I saw throughout the review where I noticed a GTA-type movement of the Zoi.. body movement should be as natural as possible for a game of this caliber. It's the best simulation game development I've seen thus far and I'm super excited about what the final product could be if this is only 12-months in the initial development. Great Job Krafton!!
This has so much potential to be one of the best open world game and to think it still is in development and are willing to hear critics and criticisms of the consumers 👏 I hope they actually listen to us because this could really make sims 4 looking like a last gen thing.
I am happy to see anything that will create some competition for life sims bc it's one of my favorite genres of games. This looks extremely impressive. With some updates and refining this could really be the next big life Sim.
aw man this is actually way cool because i had an idea like this in 2017 except it was centered around traveling to different cities and meeting new people, it used to seem impossible, but UE5 makes so many things possible.
Wow. I hadn't heard about this game. The more competition for the Sims, the better I say. I hope every one of them is a great game & EA is forced to examine their own creation and improve. Thle dialogue options are intriguing. "Probe to see if they're hiding something?" Between that and the (I can't remember the term) burning car city choice makes me think you could possibly go from sweet and laid back cozy style to crazy busy something is going on in this world style. Eh, probably not. That'd be way too much to code! But imagine if a game could do that! The graphics look terrific, but I am here (as for all sims game) for the gameplay.
Everyone's talking about how great this looks, but honestly, even in the company's own trailer you can see the framerate struggling. This seems like a recipe for lag even on high end PCs like mine. You'd need top specs to run this, and even then if the company itself is showcasing lag, that's a bad sign for optimization. There's an actual REASON why life sims have been going more cartoony as they increase in depth. This kind of game will be hell for computers and the few who do get to play it will proooobably still lag. I'm a PUBG enjoyer so by no means is this a diss at Krafton, but like... this is too ambitious to feel like something that is actually going to work.
i would also like to add how happy i was to see cut scenes! thats one thing i miss from the sims i never understood why they stopped doing those. it’s clear they take inspiration from sims
1. I think we need more facial expression 2. i would like to able to go to school with the kids and maybe if the kids get taken by cps like in the sims id love to see the parents to try to take them back!! 3. ofc more romantic partners not limited to Same gender 4. More disability representation 5. More challenging game play like u said Its only 1 year in dev so I'm expecting more it looks like they were focused on animation i hope gameplay and customization improves
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else say thing. It looked very hetero normative and gender binary. Then again maybe she just didn't want to talk about that.
@@blaketheawesome830 There's a shot of an mlm couple at 15:19 so there's definitely that.. my guess is that none of the romance interactions are locked behind body type just like in the sims
Cool and all, but I like The Sims because it is dumb and you can do funny, interesting things like have sex with Santa, making occult sims such as a werewolf, vampire, or mermaid, and just shit like that. I don't want real life. Imagine being able to like literally live out your life in this game. Like you could make your crushes and stuff and live vicariously through that shit. That's wild
I assume that the lack of most of the things you mention is due to the development stage and those things (child play, death consequences) haven't been developed yet? But wow, this blows everything else out of the water in terms of graphics. I'll be watching this to see where it develops to in terms of gameplay.
i'm in LOVE with this so far and only a year of development! absolutely fantastic. i'm thrilled to see what they do next and i'll say it once and i'll say it again the sims 4 could never.
Oooo this looks cool! Some things I’d like to see: The ability to edit the world, build both residential and community lots & place lots freely and decorate the streets/environment. Cars, bikes and a bus/transit system. Walking to work and school feels like it’d take forever, esp if you live in the suburbs and not in the city, or if families want to travel at once all together. A thorough banking system would be great! The ability to give gifts or give money as a gift to others. I’m interested in cooking as well, will we need to buy groceries? Can we eat and drink at the same time? Can we cook together? These are essentials. Multi tasking is a must at this point!
I'm not too worried about the 24hr hunger time to kill, I don't think it's leniency at all. Its in fact opposite lol. In sims games it takes about 2-3 days and in real life people can go on for theoretically 20+ days without food. I get that its maybe more about challenge system in the game which I agree they could do a lot more to bring challenges into the game. Maybe debuffs and buffs can be a good way to do this. At the same time,I don't want it to have that survival game effect where you spend most time just eating and drinking lol.
Wow… wow… wow! I want to play this so badly, it looks stunning. I’ve been dreaming of an ultra realistic looking life sim. I hope they take on all your feedback, you did a brilliant review
Was excited for inzoi but the generative ai texture frature leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'd like to know what model they're using and if its been trained ethically or if theyre just using stablediffusuion 😞
10:25 When there's thunder and lighting the power goes out? Not in Seoul. Lived here 20 years and I've had 1 power outage in the early 2000s when everyone started blasting their ACs during a sudden heat streak.
As a person who`s very into realism, this game looks LIKE a treat to me. As long as it`s not one of those games constantly popping up with great graphics to inspire people to donate and then...nothing happens. It`s good there are play testers for this game and I`m so excited for its future. If the devs keep fleshing it out I might add it to my list, next to Paralives.
This game has so much potential however I do hope they supply a wide range of hairstyles for black people. I haven’t seen much in the video and I’m really worried. I want to see different braid styles, different hair cuts, and more hair textures especially 4C hair! I also do hope they add skin tone sliders.
To be fair, this game seems to be mainly an Asian life sim. Even the world is Asian-inspired. People need to stop projecting their needs on games they didn't make.
@@OliverTwist-fc3xc In case you didn't watch the video, the developers said that they are open to feedback and suggestions. They seem to also be open to adding other ethnicities besides Asians, which is also shown in the video. An Asian-inspired world isn't the only one that they are planning to make for the game. If you have a problem with black people just say it.
@@OliverTwist-fc3xcThe devs asked for feedback. They want to sell their game to as many people as possible and a life sim is literally like the one genre where representation actually highly matters. You don't have to make black people in your game you know right? No ones forcing you to.
It's important to note that Korea has very strict beauty standards, which don't necessarily include people of color or plus size individuals. As a black person who doesn't fit their standards, it's understandable that I may not feel represented. However, it's worth noting that many Asian countries have a beauty standard that prioritizes white, skinny individuals. While this may not be ideal, it's important to remember that beauty is diverse and subjective.

Literally the best thing these new life sims can do is use the sims as a blueprint and make it 10x better
That's eff up though. Using Sims 'blueprint'. That's what all new life Sims are doing. Shows unimaginative and serious lack of creativity.

Spot on, this critique annoyed me
I feel like a lot of people who aren't into K-Pop might not know that, but fair point!
She was probably thinking JPOP. Free street events/performances are common in Japan. I've met several up and coming artist this way.

They are already working on sims 5 which sounds great… these two games will be competing lol
It looks like the start of a multiplayer game. We really need a multiplayer life simulator.
Well considering the sims is called the sims because it's supposed to be a simulator the cartoon graphics do not represent it very well.
This is how you do realism without uncanny or tacky look
I feel the opposite personally, they look like real dolls to me.
But cats not look real
@@VirixPhiliano YALL just want Cartoony 3D Pixels, you don’t want realism. these graphics are almost too good, i feel like my computer won't even be able to run this game unless theyve done some serious optimization
EDIT: yall please give it up and stop telling me to get a better pc. games don't have to run on every rig but game studios have a huge financial incentive to optimize their games so the most people can access it. games with hyperrealistic graphics and lighting tend to run worse so it's logical to be concerned about optimization. it's been months and i still get notifications repeating shit ive already heard 😭 enough already

i loveee how it looks already but it definitely is lacking the “life” element in simulation but it’s still in dev. they should also consider:
- adding the karaoke rooms and zoi’s being able to get drunk while doing it
- different personalities and reactions
- idols/ groups existing and zoi fan culture surrounding that. maybe even festivals, street performances, and concerts. also the chance of spotting an idol and taking selfies (or selcas I should say) with them
- zois going on convenience store dates
- more jobs ofc
- being able to attend school with the kids (they socialize, learn, eat, and maybe even go to hagwons after school) and if a zoi is a teacher, their job can be interactive as well
- diverse hairstyles and more skin tones
- different recipes and types of food and drinks. didn’t see anything about that. going out to the kbbq places even with the zoi’s boss as a great would be a nice touch

You don’t actually get a cold from being cold unless it’s hypothermia ie the temperature is extreme and your body can’t withstand. Walking in rain won’t give you an illness. It’s an urban myth. They did studies to disprove it. FYI
I've never seen your videos but this is probably the most honest game review I have seen in a long time. Game looks so good with lot's of potential.
Agreed!
@loftyludroth Couldn't have said it better myself...
The Sims 4 is like so last decade lol
As for 100% relationship and pregnancy success rate and such, I think the game should have two modes: a simulation mode that is more realistic, and a sandbox mode where you're just playing dolls and if you decide this doll marries that doll and they have a baby, then that's what happens.
yea i think the ability to survive so long without food is actually a really good story element, people are too used to instant gratification i guess
I agree with the AI part. I've used AI a lot and you just have to be specific, specially because it doesn't have any context of your situation. Adding words like "pattern" or "wallpaper" might help
I think they should add those keyword in there for you by default for user friendlyness. Not everyone is an AI wizard
@@iamthoys Its not the game's fault that some people are dumb, I dont think you have to be an "AI wizard" to understand that feature 😂
OMG, this game is so insane, the graphics, gameplay and everything has to offer. I can't wait to play it though.
I mean after one year this looks better than some games "that I wont mention" but I loved your overview on this game tysm I have much to look forward to
You can survive a week without eating, a month if you can drink water. A Zoi surviving 24h seems pretty reasonable for a game mechanic

Lololol.

1) being able to go shopping (for both clothing and food, like to change clothing you need to buy them and to eat/cook food you need to buy the ingredients)
2) heights.
That’s what I’m saying. This looks so boring lol
The "seniors" all look like teenagers with their hair sprayed gray. 🤣
This looks promising Madi 🤩 I like the art style. I do hope they will improve the pregnancy and parenting aspect of the game to add more realism.
I can't wait to see how they improve this. It already looks like it has so much potential.
This looks super promising. Im hella excited for its development.
for a game that's only been in development for a year im surprised to see that they have as much as they do already. i have high hopes for later versions of this game as it continues development! i think it'll be really impressive
Now thats how you make a life sims game.
With some updates and refining this could really be the next big life Sim.
aw man this is actually way cool because i had an idea like this in 2017 except it was centered around traveling to different cities and meeting new people, it used to seem impossible, but UE5 makes so many things possible.
i love that we've been getting more life simulation games
I'm so glad they reached out to you! I see some menus are in Korean, you being able to speak it and knowing some concepts/traditions must help!
haha! the Korean menus made me realize how rusty my Korean is 😅
I'm a PUBG enjoyer so by no means is this a diss at Krafton, but like... this is too ambitious to feel like something that is actually going to work.
a year of creation? imagine what they can do in the future! love the style of the game!
i would also like to add how happy i was to see cut scenes! thats one thing i miss from the sims i never understood why they stopped doing those. it’s clear they take inspiration from sims
Omggggg the graphics are insane !! 😲💗 And the CLOTHING CUSTOMISATION TOO 💓 This is so exciting aaaa !!!!
1. I think we need more facial expression
2. i would like to able to go to school with the kids and maybe if the kids get taken by cps like in the sims id love to see the parents to try to take them back!!
3. ofc more romantic partners not limited to Same gender
4. More disability representation
5. More challenging game play like u said
Its only 1 year in dev so I'm expecting more it looks like they were focused on animation i hope gameplay and customization improves
I'm surprised I haven't seen anyone else say thing. It looked very hetero normative and gender binary. Then again maybe she just didn't want to talk about that.
@@blaketheawesome830 There's a shot of an mlm couple at 15:19 so there's definitely that.. my guess is that none of the romance interactions are locked behind body type just like in the sims
i like how much longer it takes for them to pass when their hunger is low, more realistic
That's wild
20:40 24h is honestly pretty believable. even then you can go days without eating. this is not too much at all.
I assume that the lack of most of the things you mention is due to the development stage and those things (child play, death consequences) haven't been developed yet? But wow, this blows everything else out of the water in terms of graphics. I'll be watching this to see where it develops to in terms of gameplay.
Omg I’ve been wanted a game like this to come out IM SO EXCITED AHHH LOVE IT!
when it finally comes out and people start creating the wicked whims version of this, it will be insane and I don't know how to feel about it
i'm in LOVE with this so far and only a year of development! absolutely fantastic. i'm thrilled to see what they do next and i'll say it once and i'll say it again the sims 4 could never.
Oooo this looks cool! Some things I’d like to see:
The ability to edit the world, build both residential and community lots & place lots freely and decorate the streets/environment.
Ive been waiting so freaking long for these sims clones to be a reality!
Wow for something that’s only been in development for a year, it looks amazing. I can’t wait for this to come out.
The car accident at 13:45 sent me 😭
Wow… wow… wow! I want to play this so badly, it looks stunning. I’ve been dreaming of an ultra realistic looking life sim. I hope they take on all your feedback, you did a brilliant review
The psych major in me was VERY excited to see the big 5 in the traits menu
Yes!! I have wanted this in the sims for the longest time lol
This actually looks SO GOOD!
This game has so much potential however I do hope they supply a wide range of hairstyles for black people. I haven’t seen much in the video and I’m really worried. I want to see different braid styles, different hair cuts, and more hair textures especially 4C hair! I also do hope they add skin tone sliders.
Haha, same, I was thinking "I probably couldn't make anyone who looks like me in this game".
It looks polished, i just hope it gets more personality by the time it's released
I dont think 24 hours of zero hunger is unreasonable, personally, since fasting for a long time without dying is a realistic thing.
