I have fairies with the Fairies VS, Witches mod. It recently got a major update. Wonderful Whims include new romantic interactions. That's usually one of the first mod that get updated after a game update.
i do not think they'll be keeping those millions of active players. i haven't touched my game since the rent patch broke my legacy saves. and i know i'm not the only one. they may be dragging in new people to try the sims 4 but i seriously question how long those people will keep playing. so many of us that really cared have completely given up and uninstalled it.

This is going to be even more of a train wreck. I was *almost* considering reinstalling my game & packs, but nahhh. Not after this news. No matter what they do, it’s going to be so many updates, bugs, more updates, and broken mods.
The only reason I purchased the horse ranch is because everyone, including their mother, kept using it in their builds on the Gallery. And what's with all these game companies going through their panic era? While I understand that many people want to see gameplay, I often see an overwhelming number of aesthetically beige builds, often with minimal accompanying short lets play. Anyway, I've always thought that the Sims team should create a new Sims 4 with a better game engine for solo players only, before they kill the game with all the packs. I guess they noticed, too, that they broke their little money milk-making machine.
Lol the machine is definitely broken and yeah the rustic aesthetic that came with horse ranch is nice but they clearly didn’t care about the gameplay lol idk why they thought HORSES alone could sell🤣
They have to use beige because otherwise nothing matches and gameplay is short because everything is broken. Most of the videos are from people who make their living making sims videos so they can't say "Oh this pack is broken I'm going to uninstall it and play without it". They NEED their watchers to like and want the packs so they will like and watch the videos. But a lot of them are just building or making characters because that's really all they can do with the game problems. Its a broken symbiotic relationship between them and EA
I personally always feel some type of way about the Phrase 'giving Gamepack' because If you look at the Supernatural or Occult GP, they are STACKED! they have something for everyone, Traits for family players, decent cas, and Plenty of Gameplay! Heck Paranormal Stuff was BORDERLINE a full Gamepack if it came with a World and Maybe one more Career like reaping souls. But all the Family and non-Occult stuff cant even hold a candle! But because Players Who want a "Normal" Life Sim dont play them they complain and Nerf the Mechanics of the Gamepacks so they can have their doll house with the Aesthetics not the ACTUAL GAMEPLAY. Weakening the Experience for people who DO WANT game play. And then they comeback and is like "This pack is actually pretty good if only the Occults were more Active a bit" Which is why I gave up hope on Fairies, and rather play the Mod, Because No one Cares about Gameplay until the shiny new pack wears off....
It seems that two kits have been leaked, and they're an absolute MESS. one of them have 3 ROCKS and ONE pool ladder along with a few random pool stuff. Of course EA would put rocks behind a paywall.
To be honest I wouldn't care if it was all kits as long as they actually fix the game. Even though I didn't had any problems with Crystal Creation I'm not giving them a single penny anymore. Until I see more bug fixes.
Here's the more likely DLCs 10 Kits 2 Stuff packs 2 Expansion packs 1 Game packs 2025-That would make the Sims 4 11 years old, thanks EA. For a game that usually have 5 years of support and we are done. This would make it the longest life simulator game with support by far. That's as long as a big multiplayer game like destiny 2. I would be 48 by that time. Andrew we are not asking you, we are urging you can you please fix the game and don't break anymore good game performance.
The updates are what broke Sims4 for me - no packs lol I'm bouncing in-between Sims1,2,3 & Medieval right now and here I shall stay. Actually that's a lie - I just bought Insaniquarium Deluxe to relive my youth. GAME ON!🕹👍

i feel like the whole reason they made the sims base game free was to inflate the number of players to show their shareholders that the game is still relevant. esp since its been a decade since TS4 released.
Simmers can be the most entitled game users, EA is a business at the end of the day so why are y’all expecting so much lol. My game had issues but ya move on on hit up support for a refund. When I played Sims2 back in the day my dream game play kinda came true in Sims4. you get what you get people and I cant wait for more content/worlds/kits ect. !!!

Im glad that the sims is getting some competition. (There are some great live simulators that are being made atm) The game creators have become lazy, the new dcls are boring and one dimensional. Im not wasting my money on this stuff anymore.
None of the complaints matter. None. That we are unhappy with the game is irrelevant because there’s a large portion of the playerbase that will defend it no matter what. So when the shareholders say, “hey, players don’t look happy.” The devs can turn and say, “no, the people who complain are a vocal minority, *look at all these people defending us!*” That’s why nothing gets fixed, that’s why they don’t give a crap. Boot lickers.
15 updates may mean 15 sdx drops, or kits. So yea more things to feel unenthused about. Other Life Simulations cannot come fast enough, EA has been frolicking around with kits for months!
There are literally 1000's of free CCs that are way better than any of the stuff pack, both in quality and content. There are so many mods that improve and add game play. That's not counting those that correct or work around all of those bugs...
Are they REALLY active players though? I pulled up the game to update it, am I considered "active" now? I haven't actually played in like 2 years at least, went back to earlier sims games. But I still update due to game fixes and such, I guess I deep down still have hope that they'll fix some of the major bugs, but I'm not actually active. Are they counting people like me who just go in and update? Like I said, I personally gave up, I am playing The Sims 1 and 2 and 3 and Medieval, even played Castaway, Life Stories, and Pet Stories. But my niece still loves and asks to play 4, so I go in and update and hope the major bugs will be fixed. Then I find out they are not and that's it. I've stopped telling her about the updates because it gets her hopes up and she's so sad afterward that I still won't let her play a game that might destroy her saves with the characters she loves. But if they are counting people like me, I will stop entering the game to let it update. Totally done with that. Now with the "15 updates", my thought is that they are trying to do as much as they can before Life By You and Paralives and inZoi are fully active and out there. Does anyone remember when Paralives came out with a video showing curved walls and some months later they came out with their broken version? They are trying sooooo hard to show they are just as good but end up showing they are NOT. A lot of people are going to jump ship, if they haven't already. Especially with all that is included with these new games basegame that is ALL behind paywalls in sims 4. No no no, they didn't defend the pack because they don't know what an expansion pack is, they defended it so they could continue to make sims videos and get their perks from EA. If any of those youtubers and social media people actually cared about the game, they would boycott until it was FIXED. But they just do building and cas and make videos 'highlighting' each pack so they can make videos and at the same time duping people into buying the packs so it can all continue. Now, Horse Ranch, don't get me started. People were very disappointed because they gave very very very simplified version of Sims 3 gameplay for horses instead of anything new and didn't even do that right. Honestly, at this point, I DO want Sims 4 to crash and burn. I want it to happen so they will learn and come out with something BETTER. If you look back at all the other sims games each iteration was an improvement over the last one. Until sims 4. In all the other games there was soooo much I never did everything (that's what I'm working on with my revisit to the older games). With 4, everything is so dumbed down you can literally do an entire pack in a few days. I will admit, the build mode is the best there has ever been in any sims game but that is just not enough and they keep improving it but letter everything else just break, including cas. I know this has turned a bit into a rant, I'm sorry about that. But I just can't wait for a game that is actually PLAYABLE. As LBY is just coming out with early access, who knows how truly playable its going to be. But I am going to find out and I am going to see it grow and I am going to see how the devs react to issue and go from there. Can always go back to my older games again to wait for Paralives. Not gonna do "Project Rene", can tell you that right now.

Life By You didn't say that you wouldn't have to pay for packs. They have promised a game that doesn't NEED packs to be able to continue playing it and they have promised free updates as they improve and add things. But they have not said there will be free packs. Only Paralives have said that from the get go.
I Play the Sims 4 game everyday. On the ps4 And it works just fine for me, so I'm gonna keep it I Mentally handicap. It actually helps through my life. I played Sims Since the first the second and the third and now the fourth. And I will not stop playing the game that makes me feel happy

You know, I've said that. I don't think the devs on this game actually like the game, don't think they've played other sims games, its just their job. They don't understand, or pretend ignorance, what players actually want, which is usually based on the other games.
As of right now, I’m pretty much done buying content for the Sims 4. If they do bands I might reconsider, but I have enough in my game where if I have to use poses or something to help tell my story, then that’s fine. I’m conservatively guessing we’ll see out of those fifteen content drops: ten kits, two stuff packs, two EPs and a game pack.
And each tiny dlc costs as much as a full game with replayability. Nooooo thank you. If they cared for profits, they'd increase their buyers by at least 20 times by decreasing the prices by 75 percent. Most people WON'T pay so much for them. Especially when food is more important with the raised prices over the last few years.
