Sharing my breast cancer treatment experiences, and life as a survivor, to support others through their fight. When I was diagnosed with cancer at 33 there was a lack of information pertaining to women in their 30's going through cancer treatment. I wanted to hear the perspective of other young women when making some of the challenging decisions, as well as to learn what to expect from treatments. THIS is what I created this channel for.
It is my absolute honor to be here to share my experience with the goal of helping others navigate their fight with added support from someone who has been through it.
SUBSCRIBE for insights on breast cancer active treatment, life as a survivor and first time mom or to simply support my goal of helping others♡
You are not alone.
Sincerely,
Chelsey

Hi Chelsey I don't know whhats happening to my breast. For some months, i have been experiencing an abnormal increase, heaviness and some pain in my right breast. So i thought it was just the normal sign of my menstrual time But this continue till June, so I went to the hospital to lay complaint and i did breast screening but they didn't find any thing or lump in my breast. They said it may be due to the type of bra i do wear. This July haven't been so easy for me, i started feeling pains and soreness in my breast I have watched your vids over and over again I am really scared, it was as if my whole breast is on fire Can you help me out pls
Thank you for this video!
I can relate to feeling too full when pregnant. Feels very uncomfortable
Prayers for you.. I will start my tamoxifen today😢..
Im only coming here because im worried there might be something wrong. Not going into too much detail, but it just feels like something is wrong
Many people don't have someone to go to appointments with them.
I know😔, I was very fortunate to have family that could support me🙏.
Thank you for explaining how is will be. I am getting mine done on in a few days from now. It helped me not be so scared.
I'm so happy it helped ease your nerves a little🙏🌷. Sending much love🌠
Thanks for sharing your experience which will help many persons
You're welcome! So happy it was helpful for you:)
My dad was on Lupron and Casadex for prostate cancer with no surgery or chemotherapy, Thank God he didn’t experience too much other than swelling of his ankle for about a year. I’m sorry that you had a rough time but I hope every day is a better day for you 😊
I'm 38 years old, found the lump 3 months ago. I had an ultrasound and it was suggested I have a biopsy. My biopsy results came back positive for breast cancer. I'm still in my waiting period as to what the drs are deciding to do next, my lump has since tripled in size. Hoping to start treatment in the next week or two. Thank you for raising awareness.

I was lucky enough to catch my cancer early, I went on Lupron but I refuse to do AI’s. I don’t want the hell that comes with it
So happy to hear you caught it early🙏! Take good care🌷
I feel bad for you, i was on it forv4vyeaes the psyc got together with my oncologist and they switched. Me mevto others. The femora gav÷ me very bad pains in hands and feet. Then she gave me tamoxifen and then took me off at 4 years. I did not want to get off buy she said i would get resistance. So im off it, its now 6 years but i still feel anxiety, so i dont think it was the ais. God Bless and save us all. In Jesuscname amen.
Sleep on a recliner! That helped my sister when she had her surgery. I already had an adjustable bed I had purchased before due to back surgery and that was so useful for my own surgery 🙏
I had preventative surgery in 2016, a bilateral mastectomy with diep flap reconstruction and this advice was EXCELLENT!! I wish I would have had this info before I had my surgery. I will be passing on this great info. Thank you and Bless you! 🥰🙏

God bless you. You are so so brave. I am soon to get a port. Then start my journey of x8 months of chemo. Then a double mastectomy is planned for me. I am in fear of all of it. I'm not in private care but under state care.
I'm conserned about ESR1 mutations risk from these medications... NIH clinical studies show poor outcomes.
Thank you for sharing🙏❤. So important have have all the information when making decisions about our health.
Waiting to hear if my ins will cover breast MRI
Hoping for you🙏💕🙏!!
I wasn't given a choice, I was gaslit into having the port. My veins are very very bad, and the port did seem logical. I'm told there won't be a scar. Cancer is a blood disease, the veins won't get better. I have had to get many ultrasounds just to find a vein, and when it gets to that point they're not very good with the needle so it gets very painful. It goes on and on with the bad veins and painful needles...not all of the nurses/pa's, etc are good at it, and when they aren't (80% of the times I've had them in 2 months) it is painful and the bruising stacks up. The port was an easy procedure and it is fully under my skin. I've had one infusion so far and it was easy breezy compared to what I've gone thru. My port can be used for blood draws as well, so no more finding veins for that either. Hope that helps.
I was just told recently that I was too young for a mammogram, and a year later now I have a lump.
😤😠So frustrating! I hope it turns out to be nothing concerning🙏❤
Excellent skin care.
Thank you💙
Your hair looks better than before. Continue to be beautiful and blessed. ❤
Thank you so very much on all accounts🙏❤!
So glad I found this video. I have the MRI tomorrow. I had no idea of what to expect. I have noise sensitivity... I guess I will more than likely have a severe headache all day... This video was so informative. Thank you.
Thank you for sharing this. I just had my double mastectomy with expanders one week ago today. I will definitely do everything as needed when I can.
I hope recovery is going well for you🙏💕. Sending positive healing vibes your way🌷🌷
Chelsey you are always offering wonderful tips, advice, insight and just pure kindness for women fighting breast cancer. You look wonderful. Always praying for you and for all cancer warriors.❤
I survived prostate cancer and had similar results from Lupron. The hot flashes were horrible, and the other effects will shorten life and make one miserable. Against med advice, I got off Lupron after only one year of the three years the oncologists wanted. So far, cancer free for a year. I would not take Lupron again.
Thank you my dear, your strong and thank you. Stage 2, has both mastectomy's and I have been taking tamoxifen for 2 month and I have been awful. Brain Fog is most problem for me from all other side effects that I am going through. I almost had car accidents and my life is a Pause. After research, I've decided to stop tamoxifen. And I agree, my family & my active life is more important. My friend's sister is diagnosed with uterine cancer after taking Tamoxifen. Do I take chance and keep taking medication or live healthy full life? No more Tamoxifen. Thank you Chelsey.
Thank you for sharing these useful tips. I am suffering joint pain and from irregular sleep as well. Do you have any tips for the sleep?
I'm sorry to hear you are suffering as well. Making sure to exercise and getting in enough water helps me, I've also tried a guided meditation for sleep that is relaxing. I hope you find something that helps you🙏🌷🙏
I just had my double mastectomies 4 days ago. I also have tissue expanders in. I’m looking forward to having my j/p drains taken out.
I hope healing has been going well. Getting the drains out is such a great and freeing day! Take good care🌷🌷
Thank you for all the information, really important .🙏🧡
I'm so happy you found it helpful🙏🌷
You don't have to get tattoos. They can just use sharpies and tape, but you have to be sure to not wash them off in the shower and touch them up as needed. Just came from my radiation oncology appointment today.
I'm happy to hear there are other options:). It wasn't an option for me to do that, but I'm happy it is for others! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for making this video. I had my first MRI breast scan this morning and I so appreciate the info in tips in this video. I am so glad you mentioned how long it would take. That was a surprise to me since mammograms take just minutes. I also had the same experience in that I didn’t feel much when they started injecting the contrast. Possibly a slight cooling feeling. The sounds were loud but I am glad you warned me! My staff gave me headphones and played music which was super helpful. About 4 songs later we were done. Overall not as bad as I anticipated!
Chest mri with clothes or not and lady dr is present there
I wish they allow to choose the music as I am not very good with any music but being a spiritual person would like some calming mantras
I agree, being able to choose your own sounds would be so nice😊
Thank you 🙏🏼
You are so welcome, I hope it helps you like it helped me🙏🌷
Thank you!!! I am not alone. Love your videos! Why our surgeons don’t inform us about 😢I have since my surgery . Couple of months ago started to exercise more and got pretty bad( can’t straighten my arm and it’s painful). On top of that got a lympedema. I wonder if because of my cording. I am pretty fit and trying to do a right thing by exercising and that happens. And doctors are to busy to consult and all for more surgeries 😩
I’ve been having pain for two straight weeks, feels like I’ve skipped two breastfeedings. I’m not pregnant 100%. And I haven’t breastfeeding for four years. For menopause is too early. Last year, they did biopsy and it was negative. This pain doesn’t let me to sleep at night. I’m thinking to go to doctor next week.
I'm so sorry this pain is keeping you up at night. I hope you can find what causing your pain and it you can alleviate it🙏🌷
God bless you…He got something better for you!
Thank you so much🙏🙏
Thankyou - I needed to hear this today - I’m struggling too.
I'm sorry, it's so hard sometimes😔! You aren't alone🫂❤
That AI has not been out as long as tamoxifen . It's a chemo chemical . The anaateozole
Thanks for sharing:)
My hair lasted until the third week of chemotherapy. I was detangling my hair in the shower and it came out. Every time I went to touch my hair, it kept falling out in clumps. I was mortified, so I bought a wig and shaved it all. I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror right now. I wish I had your perspective, because I don't see myself in the mirror anymore.
I'm so sorry, that is such a dreadful moment that I wish on no one😩. I hope that you've been able to find a wig that makes you feel like the queen you are💪🌷!!
Beautiful jorney, congratulation beautiful mommy !! <3
Thank you so much💕! He's my 🌎💙
@@ChelseyTarnow I understand you so much, I`m in my 15 week and i love her already so much! I hope for a healthy and happy baby just like you , i`m so happy 😃🥰
I had initial cording after lumpectomy surgery, did stretching and massage. It seemed to go away until I started back on lifting heavier weights, now back again. I read on line that I should be doing rehab on it daily.
Thank you for sharing! That happened to me as well🥴
Do you have brand/style names
I have the links to both bras in the video description☺. The brand name is Amoena. Hope this helps!
BEWARE: According to The NIH ongoing clinical studies, Aromatace inhibitors (AI) use is associated with a "Common and Aquired" ESR1 mutations. HER neg, ER/PR pos Have up to approximately 50 probability of aquisition to ESR1. This mutation caused cancer has a poor overall survival rate. So, it is not true that AI med prevents further recurring cancer.
Thank you for sharing🙏
Hey , I do have breast lumps since 4 years .they do pain sometimes and it's size is also increasing i m going to show this to Dr
Good on you for going to show your Dr. Sending positive vibes your way🙏💫💕
I used tamoxifen for five years. It caused thickness in my uterus and bleeding so I had to have a total hysterectomy ( precancerous)
Oh my gosh! Thats terrible you had such an adverse experience😫! Thank you for sharing. I hope you are in good health now🙏🌷
This is very depressing. Why do you go on living like this? Stop what you’re doing and try something different. Call out to God and believe in him when he says “God is near the broken hearted; he saves those crushed in spirit.” (Psalm 34:27). And you are crushed in spirit. He is Jehovah Rafa, the God who heals. He will put joy and peace back into your heart again. He’s waiting for you to call out to him. He wants to hear your voice. Please give him the chance to answer. You are loved.
Thank you so much🙏🙏
Thank you for posting this. I'm scheduled for a port install this week but because of severe ME/CFS and POTS I am not even sure I'm going to be able to make it through chemo so I was thinking of postponing my port surgery for now, at least the first couple of chemo infusions, just to see how I fair with the chemo itself. Ports just seems like something more "permanent" in the sense that I'll be sedated for install and also then again for removal. I was told this week that I have excellent veins (always very hydrated because of the POTS) but was concerned that could change if I do the arm IV so thank you for talking about how that has worsened for you.
I might suggest you consider the port. I was fearful of the sedation, but I was under a twilight sedation... I was awake and they were talking to me the whole time, but I felt nothing and no dizziness or drowsiness from the sedation either. I'm kind of glad I went thru with it. (I went there with intention of rescheduling, but the doctor explained things well and even showed me my port, so I felt comfortable going thru with it.) The whole thing only took 45 minutes. The rest was getting me ready beforehand (my last IV), and just making sure I was ok to go home. If you're apprehensive, talk to the doctor doing the procedure, and if you're still not ok, you can reschedule.
Sending much love. I'm glad the video was helpful for you🌷
My 50-year-old friend had a stroke on this poison. And when we checked, there was an 83% chance of stroke. WTH???
I had no idea of this! Thank you for sharing🙏🙏
@@ChelseyTarnow You are so welcome. In fact, this just happened in Dec 2023. She had no idea it was happening either. Apparently she was slurring her words and the people around thought she had been drinking. She was at work and just going about her day not realizing what was going on because to her she sounded fine. If you like I can talk to her about coming on here and confirming what I am telling you.
