  • I hope this insight into my experience with life after active treatment helps you in some way🌷. If you are WORKING through challenges, struggling or "still" finding your way after a cancer diagnosis, you are NOT alone and it's OK to not be OK. I want to remove the pressure I once felt to be OK as soon as I made it through active treatment.

I'm so sorry for anyone who has to go through any cancer diagnosis. 🛐 I did want to share some positivity with you. Both of my grandmother's one diagnosed in her late 40's and the other in her early 50's with breast cancer and they both lived very long lives with no recurrence and one Aunt (stage 4) is still cancer free and it's been about 15+ years for her. So thankfully research foundations have came a very long way.

Great news that you shared. Did they have to take the Aromatase Inhibitor pills?

Great topic. It still surprises me that the emotional recovery takes WAY longer than expected.

Hi Chelsey, Thank you for sharing your feelings. Cancer diagnosis is very scary and we all know it can come back after initial treatment and surgery. Plus we have to live with the side effects of the hormone blocking drugs (Arimidex for me) as a constant reminder. You have everything to live for and you are still young. I think it is perfectly normal to feel the spectre of cancer despite having good results on scans. Try to live in the moment and not stress about what may happen. It's very difficult I know. Good luck - you really are a warrior. You're doing so well!

Hello from Victoria BC :) I've been watching your videos and they bring me so much light and hope. My diagnoses happened this summer - almost the same way yours did. I had a left breast mastectomy first, 8 rounds of chemo and I start 15 rounds of radiation next week. Physically I am fine. My oncologist said about 10% of people take chemo as well I as did. There's just not enough said about the trauma of this diagnoses. It rips you apart. It doesn't seem fair. They knew from the scans and the surgery that all the cancer is gone but the emotional recovery is so much more. Thank you for sharing.

🫂🫂🫂. My heart goes out to you so so much! The emotional impact of a cancer diagnosis, followed by the mental and physical toughness to get through the treatments is so much! There is much healing that needs to be done once you have a few moments to stop and actually breathe. I'm so happy this video brought you light and hope💫🌷!!! It's OK to not be ok right now, take your time💕

Bless you, congratulations on the birth of your son. Just to give you some reassurance I have a friend who had a mastectomy and chemo etc at 34 years old, she had 4 very young daughters at the time but she is now 83 and doing well. I am 68: next week I had my surgery last October because of backlogs I am finally going for my CT scan and planning appt today it’s 3.34 and I am awake thinking about getting up in a couple of hours to get to the hospital on time. For me at my age in some ways my diagnosis has been a blessing, as it’s made me reevaluate my life and what’s important , I am currently having a clear out of lots of stuff I’ve not done, things like sorting my parents stuff in the attic, so that it’s not left for someone else to do! My goal is to outlive my dear husband who is 80 this year and who wouldn’t cope well without me… thank you for sharing so much with your subscribers it has really helped me for sure.I remember my Dad saying yesterday is the past you can’t change it, tomorrow is the future don’t worry about it, and today is called the present…it’s a gift live and enjoy every moment.much love to you and your family ❤

And thank you for thr quote from your dad... such a great reminder🌠🙏🌷!!

I’m at that place now as the side effects from Anastrozole remind me of my cancer and my mortality every day. I’ve never been this way and not sure if I can take the risk of stopping the pills and might have to deal with a recurrence. I pray a lot 🙏
