- This video walks you through the steps of my full body nuclear medicine bone scan. I created this video to document what my bone scan involved so you can tackle this appointment knowing what to expect; and hopefully, that will help to decrease some of the pre-scan anxiety you might be experiencing.
I truly hope this helps you in some way!

Thank you for sharing. You just never know what to expect going into these appointments.
It's so true! It's nice to have an idea what to expect. Happy you found it interesting:)
Very informative video. Specially the rib cage scan part. I did freak out when I had it. Thanks for sharing.
Me too! Not knowing in the moment if they saw something I was panicking so I HAD to ask. Happy to hear you found it informative🙏💕
I am also a Breast Cancer survivor of four years. This will be my first whole body scan; I have had lots of other scans, and I am claustrophobic, so your explanation was so helpful. I hope you are continuing to do well. Cheers.
Glad the video was helpful for you:). I hope your scan when well🌷!
Thank you for the video. I have an appointment scheduled for this scan on August 9.
You are so welcome! I hope it was helpful🙏❤!
Thank you so much for sharing this and for all the details. My daughter will have this scan soon, and I was both scared and worried. Now, I will be able to explain what will happen, to reduce her anxiety. I have seen other medical videos but it is nice to hear from the patient perspective.
Awe, I'm so happy it was helpful. I hope it went well for her💕
I had one in January ok think positive, my thoughts are with you
I hope yours turned out well🙏❤. Thank you for your positive thoughts🌷!
Thank you for the video. Having one in 4 days. I am very claustrophobic. Just hope I don't panic
I hope it was helpful. Wishing you all the best in your scan. You've got this💪
I'm having mines tomorrow, same as you, I need to have my eyes closed, if I see this I will get into a panic attack. I did an mri onced went in with my eyes closed and in about a minute or so, stated screaming and made them take me out. They gave me another appointment and on that one I came in dosed, had to be medicated, took some clonopin, and slept it out. But I'm so scared now seeing how close to the face it got. Uff!! Nervous as hell!!😢
Thank you for explaining the bone scan so well. I have to have one to check out an injury to my hip. The nurse I have doesn't know what type of test it is or what to expect.
I'm so happy you found it helpful🌷. I hope your hips is ok👍. Sending positive vibes your way!
Hi. I was thinking about you yesterday. How have you been? Was it your routine scan? Good luck 🤞🏽
Hi! Aren't you sweet thank you! I've been doing well, happily busy enjoying motherhood🥰. Unfortunately this wasn't a routine scan. How have you been?
Sending you lots of positive energy ❤❤. I am doing well. Almost 3 weeks on Tamoxifen. So far it’s okay. Hot flashes are bad but otherwise feeling okay.
Thank you for this video. I have a scan in 2 days. Do you remember how long it took to get your results?
Sending positive thoughts for your scan💫. I believe I could view my results online after 3 days, but I'm sure it varies quite a bit. Hopefully you can gets yours quickly🙏🙏
@@ChelseyTarnow Thank you
Did you have symptoms or it is something we need to do every 5 years? Thank you
I had symptoms we were looking into.
Did you get a scan after you finished radiation? My radiation starts in 2 weeks
No, I got one when I was first diagnosed and just recently (4 years after finishing radiation).
I have to do me one tomorrow, I'm so freaking nervous. I'm claustrophobic, I need to have my eyes closed. If I see it that close to my face like I seen yours will have a heart attack..
Hoping it's a comfortable experience for you🙏. I like your idea of keeping your eyes closed! You can do it💪🌷
