Andy did you use lime when repointing the bay if so what type of and where do you get the brick colour wash
Lafarge NHL 3.5 from Chalkdown Lime and the colour wash is from Steadfast.I don't know how the prices compare with other companies as I've only used these for many years, NHL Limes differ immensely with the amount of pure lime content, Lafarge and St Astier being the best I wouldn't use any other.
Andy what does the brick wash consist of is it just red dye and water
Yes but there is a binder in it, I think it's sodium triphosphate but you would have to check as I might be wrong with the spelling.
Hi there Andy, I've been asked to price a extension 4m x 7m just a box with about 1800 face bricks and about 300 celcons as I only normally work day work im not used to pricing work Google prices are very varied any idea how much this should be for labour only. Many thanks.
They are all different Graham, you might have to bring all the materials around the back, maybe some of it is overhand, setting up trestles etc, you just have to work out how long its going to take and charge acordingly.
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 ok thanks
Looks the dogs that Andy , what was that colour solution you put on the bricks ?
Brick tint from Steadfast.
Thanks mate 👍
That looks quality Andy, but ffs cheer up ya miserable boostard😂👌
Looks like ur fishing 😂
Great job.
Quality the way you think and work
Hey Andy....you've probably heard or read about, most of the remedies for Arthritis. I bet a pint down the Pub tops the options!! LOL But for what it's worth, try Apple Cider Vinegar or Honeygar. Doesn't taste to flash but you'll never look back. Worth a try anyway...
@@johnhutchins2989 Thanks John i will 👍

Absolutely brilliant. Thank you soooooo much!!! We have struggles our way through 6' x 6' version of this green house. The instructions are completely pants with not explanation for much of the procedure. We got to the vent stage somehow but the window had us stumped. Your video was a game changer. Thank you.

Beautiful job that Andy , looks mint . I’m supposed to be on a pointing job but it’s too hot for full PPE and everyone has their washing out. No Henry here unfortunately 🥵🥵🧱👍🏽

The recip saw has made all I lives a lot easier, Bosch do a lovely brick blade. S1543HM. About £22 but worth every penny.
@@harveysmith100 Yes mate it's the Footprint one, yea recip saws are brilliant.

Fantastic work on them bays looks mint......aussie that sounds exciting...looking forward to seeing what you get up to...Nice one Andy ,all the best
We brought a 1930s detached house years ago and to my horror after l took off the blown plaster inside the bay window, there was nothing in between the bricks! I managed to bodge it up.l went up in the loft and the mortar was disintegrating in between the bricks up there! You think the dozy surveyor would have picked it up? Managed to sell it as the new owner was too tight to have a proper survey. Have a great time in Australia, l'm a similar age to you Andy and my knees are playing up, poor old gits!
Most surveyors dont have a clue unfortunately 👍
Great job Andy
Nice job Andy, the colour wash looks dead polished “lovely.
Going to miss your moaning and cheerfulness. Shame about the arthritis but age gets us all in the end. Enjoy your holidays 👍👍👍
Am just about to knock it on the head arthritis got me as well

What age are you? I have been laying bricks 40 years now starting to fall apart and thinking about giving it up next year.

Beautiful job And , I’ve just ordered a arbor tech
Fantastic, can't wait to borrow it 🤣👌
@@bricklayersworldwithandy6277 👍😂
Nice work
Excellent job 👏
In spite of their designed purpose I've always found Arbortech saws to be too violent for chasing out mortar joints.
Yep 👍
Shame about arthritis but Feel your pain Andy, must admit after nearly 40 years in the game & 3 back operations in the last 4 years thinking of packing it in, have a great break in oz
Lovely job Andy. Looks proper 👍👍👍

Probably 👍
Have a great time over in Aussie! Your Videos are greatly appreciated, I tell all the Young-uns to watch them, the techniques you use will be long lost in a few years. The `Screws` (arthritis) Got me, but the Docs prescribed Co-Codamol and now the sun shines every day!
Thanks Martin, Naproxen dont work on me but i get some relief with Ibuprofen, might give Co Codamol a try 👍
