    Apparently when they split the granit for Edinburgh Castle, they’re drill only had one battery so it was much harder
    I was told by an archaeologist that the holes were drilled with a bow and pole, like a fire starter, using sand as an abrasive to drill the holes, each of which took several days

    Here in Perth, Aus, we had Elizabeth Quay built a few years ago and there was over 1 million granite sets laid for all the pathways. All came in from China.

    I still don't believe the Pyramid builders worked Granite using copper tools ! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    Pennine walling hammer you have there. Basically the only hand tool you need for a sandstone dry stone wall, except sometimes a sledge hammer/stone axe for breaking big lumps.

    I thought the splitters were called feathers and wedges?

    There is 8.000 tons of Granite blocks in the Great Pyramid . Some weigh over 70 tons each ........ Nearly 5.000 years old , get your head around that . 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

    Pitchers and nickers , pitchers are offset nickers are straight and used for splitting

    Good demonstration of trying different tools to make Granite sets be some job that doing them by hand for a granite set driveway lol cheers for the upload Andy very interesting
