  • Hand tools woodworking ASMR - mahogany and maple wood. Since I'm starting a new channel for working with leather, I needed a beautiful box for accessories and tools. I'm also thinking of making a few boxes that will be inside this, for needles and threads. The finishes are usually tung oil with carnauba wax.
Thank you, friends, for your donations and gifts - thanks to you, the channel is growing! Thanks to those who support me and my channel on PayPal : romyrwood@gmail.com
    Thanks for watching, Regards Yurii🤗

if you're really interested in starting with hand tools, check out Rex Kruger. he's got a series called "woodworking for humans" where he demonstrates some really neat and useful projects, using absolute basic tools. one of the firat videos is him making a mallet with nothing but a hand saw and a hatchet. then he uses those three tools to make a versatile and inexpensive workbench. these projects take a lot of patience, no matter what tools you have. but he shows how far that patience can really go.

Can't remember the video where I saw it, but someone filed/sanded the screws and hinge plates so they had the same polish and perfectly level surface.
I really like how you transitioned the colors from sap wood to lighter color wood on top. That turned out perfect!

Very nice box, a small tip : pré finishing panels before installing them is better than doing it after, the reason is that as the panel expands and contracts, it won't show a line where the finish didn't reach. When you pre finish, the whole panel has finish on it and won't show lines... Keep it up
