Quite the adventure out there, always a gamble those places, i haven't the stomach for it anymore, the boat owner doing ok, those Yamaha outboard aren't cheap 👍
Great stuff Andy, shame about your catch results. Dangerous old game messing with the fuel like that but my thoughts on that are he’s getting petrol on his hands then rigging the baits, No good that. I always fuel up the night before any of my pike fishing. 👍🏻🤝
Well mate that place looked like a right hole. I thought the fishing might make up for it but it looked very disappointing. It’s a shame mate but the marlin looked amazing, thanks for taking us along 🎣🐟✋🏽------🤚🏼🧱👍🏼
Don't feel bad about not holding onto that 200 lb Marlin Andy, it's not easy at our age with the arthritic. I spend all week trying not to get pulled off the scaffold with a 200 lb bricklayer on the other end of the line, always complaining that it isn't tight enough! A nice video, tell your mate his Swahili is good but wasted, Swahili is only spoken on the other side of the continent. (But he knows that already.) In the Wilbur Smith books, he always says AWA. (Africa Wins Again.) And it does, all the time, you just have to go with the flow out there. I enjoyed that, but now I miss Africa, I need to go back again.
Tui have hotels in Point Sarene and Saly a bit further South than where I was. I would imagine outside the hotel it might be a bit better than where I was but with more tourists comes more hawkers and vendors to pester you. Let me know how you get on 👍
Brilliant video Andy fishing for marlin and tuna hard graft, have been out many times here in Florida and it's hit and miss
But great fun
Fair play to you Andy, going to west africa is a adventure in itself that not everyone would be up for.
Looks epic.....your very lucky
Your orange 🍊 shorts should be a crime Andy😂. Hope you enjoyed yourselves 👍🏻

Loved the video telling it as it is
Those 50 year old language skills always come in useful

👍
Thinking of taking up fishing whats good gear to start with
Its a minefield mate, all depends what fishing you want to do then go on you tube and watch some vids then go down your local tackle shop for advice.
I reckon bricklaying is cruel do I get a block for that?
Wats your names again 🤔
Whats senegal like im off there in a week time
Depends where you are going, if its an all exclusive resort then should be ok but the country itself like most of West Africa is a dump.
Appreciate that going with tui
