Definitely say it is a very darn handy dandy slicing knife. Im anxious to use it in my job because I do landscaping so its gonna be exposed to so much dust and dirt which im concerned how the internals will handle it but I love using this to just glide slice through hundreds of feet of weed barrier fabric.

Do you still feel the same about the N690? Looking to buy one solid edc fixed blade for work. I’ve always used budget ones but have depleted/ sold off most of my collection now.

Yuuuup! Fully agree. Imo there are a handful of absolutely MANDATORY Spydercos every collector should have. You HAVE to have the classic Spyderco, the Delica or Endura. You HAVE to have the venerable PM-2 or a Military. You HAVE to have the best reasonably sized and overbuilt hard use knife, the manix-2. And finally, you HAVE to have another classic, either the native, the Sage or the chapparel. From there it comes down to specifics of one's tastes. Spyderco has so many greats. You can just go wild! Once you have the "Big 4" you can just waller in the goodness!

Crusher, belt knife, etc are survival knives. Not edc or bushcraft or artsy fartsy knives. They do their intended purposes extremely well.

The Rosecrafts look nice for the money I just wished they would move to 14c28n ir 154cm for the blade steel. I think that would improve there sells for sure. Not into budget knives my self at this point in my collection but I know a lot of people are and that that’s what I would want if I was.

M390 is pretty corrosion resistant. K390 is not.

I edc my modern knife and I also carry my traditional trapper knife just food. Like when I have cut a tough steak at restaurant or when I’m at road side fruit stand and I have cut orange or peach. Like you say… it doesn’t feel threatening to other people and it slows you down to simpler times.

For me, the Nolichucky is in its own league, but this Otter Creek Barlow comes in at a close second.

First off, leather man has the best warranty on the market. Why aren’t you using it? You don’t have to pay to replace all that stuff, leather man will do it for free. Secondly, you should get the full bit kit. It’s got Phillips, flat, hex, torx, square, etc.
