Looks slick as hell. Love the textured handle. Lanny’s clips are a true classic Bose pattern and it looks like Ben is taking them up a notch. You’re dead on with your review. Lanny’s clips were designed to be chonky working man’s knives. Lanny wanted a bulletproof slip joint and Bose designed it for him. Thicker stock, robust grind, robust tip. It’s a bulldog!
I have the Benny, After Hours, and Benny. The Gunslinger is the only one of mine that had the ting. The Gunslinger's detent is stronger than the other 2. My Benny comes in right behind the Gunslinger in the detent department. As far as the ting imo, it comes from the strength of the detent.
that gunslinger ting makes the knife 50% better. I think its the blade geometry with the hollow grid that makes the ting. when it hits the stop pin it resonates
Thanks to @bigrededc i won the Benny in lava flow scales i get mine saturday i cant wait. Thanks for sharing Doody and Thanks bigrededc for the aweome Prize and Giveaway.
Same but a little worse - ouch. It’s based off the Lanny’s clip designed by Tony Bose, an old farmer’s knife design fyi. So the blade is built for harder use - a different philosophy of use to the gunslinger. That’s why they both exist.
@@doodysdaggers if you thought that the Benny clip was an original design by Ben then you really need to do your homework - just saying. And that’s why it doesn’t have a full height hollow - staying true to the Lanny’s clip design
Thanks for showing off The Benny!
That's a good looking knife! Appreciate the support man!

Detent ball needs some oil lol
It’s broken in nicely!
Good morning DOODS!!!!
It’s like comparing apples to purples 😁
100%
I like the Benny. Think it's named after Ben, the designer/ owner of JWK. Good review, Doody. Thanks
Yup, sure is!
Real nice.
TPK IS THE BEST IN THE GAME!!!!!
YOU THE MAN!!!
Love the look of that knife 🔪 hopefully available here in the UK problem here is you can get in trouble carrying a chocolate knife 😊
Where’s the jets?

Agreed!
Good video bud....as always
🤘🤠🤘
Cool knife. If he ever does a full height hollow ground spear point blade, like how Trevor Burger does id get one of his framelock knives.
That would be so rad

Woah sweet prize!!
The full hollow I think causes the ting
a Hadooooodken....i'll see myself out...
There we go!!
I hear the ting is usually from thin deep hollow grinds. It reverberates through. That's what I hear anyway 🤷♂️
Get over here lol
My son has the same issue with orange and green. He can tell they are different, but accidentally says the wrong color. It's very interesting.
@@chabongomongo I have it with pink and green, always have 😁🤷🏻♂️

Yeah I get it, but for me I’d use them for pretty much the same things.
@@doodysdaggers but I don’t think you did get it while making your vid. That’s why I commented 😁

Not a fan. I like the look but, it's too similar to the Pena Texas Trapper XL.
