For whatever reason Mcnees don't call to me. That's the beauty of knife collecting though, there's something for everyone! I do however love Eknives! Excited to get my strop dood, you'll have to recommend a good strop compound for me.
@@buckaroobanzai2551 I felt the same way, but like Spyderco I came around to it. I used to wonder what was so good about them, but you just gotta hold one to understand. It’s one of those knives that’s easily “edcable” and can endure pretty much anything.
Said this in our member chat .. I think the higher loop in the stock clip makes it much better. And if you ever disassemble that SOB to switch to skiffs, you'll appreciate the screw changes. My gen1 was a struggle to get back together with everything lined up. Much prefer my gen2 because I do like to open my knives up regularly for a thorough cleaning. I dreaded opening my gen1 up again.
I love my McNees, If you want a smaller knife with a large blade this is it with that blade to handle ratio , There MagnaCut is top tier and they also have there own special smoothness about them , Good Stuff Enjoy !

Amazing knife! I want to get a 3.5” really bad and I just can’t decide which variant I want. Love how rugged and bad ass they are and I love how they all have a stonewash style finish even the milled and anodized versions. Outstanding knives and glad you got one back in the collection!
Lockbar cutout is bigger, added a detent ramp. That's why you get caught on double clutch in the beginning of the vid. Gen 1 2023 Metal COA is the best config imo
Welcome back to the club man! I’ve been a member for about a month 😂 and can’t get it out of my pocket. Actually had the smooth ti and loved it but traded around and got the jigged g2. Great stuff dood 👍🏻
Have the tanto in this config. I like it a lot, wouldn’t sell it unless I had to. At one point it got a lot of pocket time, but like any other knife person I have been discovering other things. As far as indestructible folding knives go it is in the conversation for the best. It is a TANK of an edc knife. If someone asked me for an indestructible framelock, I would point them towards McNees or a CRK Inkosi or Zaan.
Cool knife, I have been hunting a Mcnees ever since your Mcbee video for over a year. I get the emails, I wait on the site just doesn’t happen for me for whatever reason. The scalpers throw them up on eBay pretty regular. Same scenario for the Demko AD20 I have seen them in stock it’s always something like blade not USA made or skinny version. Glad to see you found another one definitely seems like a knife people keep or sell then re buy so the hunt continues.😂. I think both you and Knife dope have bought, sold then rebought and/or traded. Can’t wait to the see a short in coming weeks with the McNees and signature doody cinematography.
As stated by jonathan McNees, they do the frame lock cutout with the cnc now, and it just doesn't look nice to me in v2. It's a way too big gap and just looks cheap to me. The waterjet version was way more slick. I guess, that's why all of the pics from the lock side are vanished from their website. If they ever go back to making a knife with no compromise, i will purchase one. Besides that it's a very sexy knife. but a no go for me thus far.
Nother knife to drive people crazy with, what you sit and flick your knifes for fun, buy a fidget spinner to occupy your time its a hell of alot cheaper, that way you can get sum more tattoos, cussing too, your a real piece of work Sport

It doesn’t call to me at all as is, however I’ve seen some super nice ones with a belt satin regrind.
