Lovely car that 👍
Indeed it is! 😍
Do you think it is possible to make an engine swap with a kawasaki h2r. A caterham with a h2r engine would be insane
It’s always possible to swap engines in a Caterham. Specifically with a Kwak’ one? We couldn’t tell you. Something to search 👀 😊
1.4 k series sevens are awesome for their small bhp. I owned a GN11 reg 1.4 seven and loved it.. regretting selling it😢
Looking forward to a burger!
🍔 👏
Could it be upgraded to a 420?
Hello Kai. Yes, it could be. We recently sold a 360 (same thing, just newer nomenclature) that had been upgraded: turn7.co.uk/showroom/caterham-360r-420-upgrade/

Hi there! I've got a few questions: - Do you offer any discount on online sales when it comes to the headlights? - How hard is the installation if you have non LED headlights? - Do you know if homologation is easy in the European Union (Spain)?
Hello! Yes, if you're buying them for fitting yourself they're £380 excluding VAT. Installation is quite easy, yes. Any practical owner should be fine with it 😊 (our video man did his own Caterham lights, and he claims to be 'incompetent at DIY' 🤣) And lastly, yes, they have an E marking. We've sent quite a few into various EU countries 👍
@@turn7caterham Love it! Thanks a lot!!
Hi Can you tell me what the difference is between a caterham with a lowered floor and a normal floor. Are you limited on where you drive with a lowered floor?
Hello @Very_Grumpy_Cat - we covered this in the chassis video, which you can view here ruclips.net/video/Qk1-cdt8beE/видео.htmlsi=272SerOGI7KFu4IO No limits as to where you drive. Hope the short film helps! 😊
@@turn7caterham thank you

The trick is to sit in the drivers seat and ask someone else to put the hood up. I have a tonneau cover on my old 1700 crossflow. It is easy to put on and I can leave it half on when I am alone. It is lovely and warm with the heater on in winter. Note, this is not good solution if you have leather seats. I have an older car with bench seats which I can pull out and take indoors if they get wet. Less is more.
Another good one Callum thanks...I'm building my kit, and one of the next few jobs is the front cycle wings, which I've been putting off because it scared me a bit! Watching you do that one lessens the anxiety :)

This is incredibly useful, thanks for such a detailed video. You've got a new subscriber :) I have an issue with one of my cycle wings where it seems to be too close to the wheel - not sure if its been sat on or knocked and slightly bent, whether the fibreglass is poorly shaped or what. Noticed it when strapping it to a trailer. The indicator repeater as a result has been torn out a couple of times by straps and then driving. Noticed the tire sometimes rubs the cycle wing too though i see no meaningful wear on tire or tread thankfully. I don't need the repeater so I will just get two new cycle wings and bond them on as shown. If i find the cycle wing is still very close to the tire, do you have any tips to adjust it without bending or buying and fitting a new cycle wingstay (the frame itself)? Perhaps something to pack out more of a gap?
Hello! We wouldn't recommend bending the stay or packing it out really. Both are going to produce sub-standard, and possibly unsafe, results. Best to get the right sized stays for the wheels and tyres.
Very useful, and the Tommy Cooper flash made me chuckle 😀
Kudos for spotting Tommy! You’re only the second person to do so 👏 👀
Gorgeous car. Want !

Brilliant...
I highly recommend a tonneau cover. If you have a heater and are driving alone on a cold day, leave the passenger side on. Toasty. It is also much quicker to put on than the roof, outside that country pub. A great protector against small boys jumping in. Perfect.
Shiny! Shiny!
Nice wallet
Premier Power appear to have ceased trading and so the link to winter engine care doesn’t work. Any thoughts on replicating PP’s advice in a RUclips video ?
Hello Mark. The link is to the page archived on archive.org - did you try it? It works fine for us 👍
Why don't you know the basics? The K series should be checked when hot and running, as per the plate on the rocker box. The information you are giving is now all in question as you can't even get the basic oil check method right!!! Waste of time video!
Well that was a bit harsh for first thing in the morning 😢 *plays sad trombone* Tell you what, why don’t you try checking the oil level with it running, and check it again immediately after turning off…
Oh, ok, I wasn't being abusive or using foul language. But surely the stickers on the rocker ox are there for a reason. You shouldn't be telling people to 3: check it with the engine stationary, should you? Perhaps more investigation into how to address the problems, rather than just trying to benefit from the hits you get, eh?
It’s all good, no worries - hence lighthearted reply this morning 😃 The thing is, with the engine running oil just splashes all over the place. If you check it *immediately* after turning off (yes, from warm) you’ll find you get a more stable reading. Times change. Our knowledge improves, processes can be honed 😊
Your jack and the axle stands need a thick rubber to protect the power coating from the de dion a frame, axle and chassis.
Top tip! Thanks Simon.
Make sure your on a flat smooth surface when jacking up the front and that your jack has rollers otherwise it could drag the back of the car off the rear axle stands.
Yup, spot on Andy. We even say that around the 2:00 mark.

Do the leather seats sit higher than the carbon seats?
Good question! They’re more or less the same. Tilletts (buckets) do have a marginally lower base than standard seats, but then you lose a little space off the sides, which could affect one’s overall sitting position. It’s not a stark difference though.
Really useful video thanks 🙏
Are people like buying this cars, drive it a little and then find out they do not like it or what
Not at all! People often upgrade to more powerful models as they expand their use 😃
I have an ageing 1700 crossflow with a bench seat absolutely no adjustment in seating position. My wife takes the passenger seat bottom and puts it behind her and tightens up the harness when she drives it. High tech indeed, but still fabulous fun. 😑
what exaughst is this and where would you buy it from?
Hello @JkMoon. That's called a 'peashooter'. They're no longer made, unfortunately, so your best bet is probably looking in "classifieds". We'd suggest the Caterham & Lotus 7 club forums - but you could always try sites like ebay.

Why there is so much wheel gap at the rear?
It has to be S3 unless you have no choice because the SV just looks so wrong IMHO
Mole grips!!! NO, use a ratchet, mole grips FFS, you might as well have a used a sledgehammer!
Do you sell any left hand drive caterhams
We don’t tend to get them in very often. We have done conversions in the past though 😃
@@turn7caterham cool did not know you could make a conversation
Very informative, keep the videos coming.
Another great video Callum. Done this job a few times but didn’t know to use a cheese wire - a nice tip. Thanks for sharing 👍
Great! Thank you.
Good video thanks and interesting that you mention tyre sizes. I have a 2014 Supersport with ZZS 185/55R13 with little clearance to the wingstays. I am worried that when I need to replace these tyres I will also need to replace the wingstays if ZZS are no longer available. Maybe a video on tyre options would be worthwhile.
Love watching your videos - always learn something new. I am interested to change my headlights into carbon ones. Would be great seeing a video how the headlights and indicators are mounted and how the cabling is done though. Thanks!
