- Turn 7 compete in the Armed Forces Race Challenge as a guest entry.
This was the second of two 20 minutes races. Starting from the back (43rd) in their 140bhp Caterham Sigmax.
Making up 27 places on lap one and as high 6th by the end of lap four. A red flag pushed us back to 8th for the restart with just three laps to the flag.
The race ended in a thrilling sprint to the line against another Caterham Sigmax for the last podium position...
A fantastic event, well organised and with excellent driving standards throughout (excluding the small incident).

Great videeo, since Caterhams were banned from most sports car races in the UK it is unusual to see them up against other marques, I can remember seeing a sports car race at Brands Hatch in the mid 90's where eight Caterhams were allowed to race with the MGB's, Healeys, TVR's, Jaguars etc. by consent of the drivers in those other cars, except that the Caterhams had to start at the back of the grid regardless of their lap times, within about 9 laps the Caterhams were through most of the cars in front and watching this video reminded me of that day. They may not be the fastest but their inital acceleration and ability to brake much later than the heavier cars is where they can make up time and places.

Frankly better entertainment than F1 nowadays.
