Really good video! Good insight to the differences in weight. I've had two series 3 chassis k series and often wondered the real difference between them and the sigma/Duratec engines

As always fantastic factual video. Such a simple idea for a video but very interesting and im sure not only i was keen to see the differences.

Great and informative video. I'd be interested in seeing the weight differences for the different wheel offerings. Since wheels are unsprung weight, I imagine it makes a noticeable difference.

Now there’s a good idea! *taps nose* We’ll see what we can do. Stay tuned!

      and the available tyres!
I, for example, have not found any suitable tyre combination for my CSR260 except for one manufacturer!
195/45R15 and 245/40ZR15 at the rear are registered. Since the Avon factory has closed, I can no longer get this combination.
That's why I'm currently driving the Nankang AR1. The smaller models have hardly any problems because of the narrower rear tyres.

great vid! Nice to see the CSR with the much stiffer chassis and a Drysump 2,3 Duratec is just 33kg more than a Sigma SV.

Great stuff. What’s the dimensional difference between a S3 & SV, both width & length & height if applicable & what does that translate to in terms of interior cockpit dimensions. Many thanks.

Excellent question @drew699! We have a more detailed video in the works-but basically, S3/SV width is 1575mm vs 1685mm, length is 3100mm vs 3530mm, and height (hood up) is 1115mm vs 1140mm.

As an idea could you give some suggestions as to some weight saving options of replacement parts from different manufacturers, would be great to see if a SV chassis could get to under 500kg ?

There’s an interesting idea Richard! Are you trying to get a car ready for hill climbing? 🤔 😀 🪶

Wondering what you show a R500 K series weighing ? I believe caterham are a bit optimistic with their published weighed figures

I would to be happy to know which model reference of Twinbusch two post lift you are using and where are located the correct lifting points for S3 chassis with lowered floors. Thank you.

Hello @Faburisuh - the lift is a 'TW 242 PE' and we've just posted some images of what points we use to site the feet for lifting. Check the 'Community' tab here on YT. Hope that helps!

One of the 2 at the end have the front tyres on the wrong side. The green one maybe?🤔
