Poverty prospecting Australia
Добавлен 7 сен 2022
AU/Gem prospecting Australia . I like to make my own equipment, as I can and have the ability to do so. Also I can not spend a lot on it. This channel was started 17/12/23. After being prompted by other Australian RUclips content makers said I should. I enjoy sharing my experiences with others. I hope you enjoy the ride. Some GOLD, Jems and Aussie Opal will be here. Sometimes as with prospecting, no gold. But still life is like that.

How much gold? 1/4 classified bucket?
Wow it would be amazing to see it drain!
What the bore or the waterway? The bore will never go dry , it is in the lowest part of Australia. Lake Eyre is 18m below sea level at its lowest point
Wasn't expecting the bore thats a cool thing to be around. Im gonna try find it on maps😅
Pretty easy to find on Google earth. Cheers Callum
I hope the "dessert" was chocolate pudding with an oasis of cream
Bloody Auto correct!
That's an Amazing place Andy , you can see first hand pretty much how first Hydrothermal Deposits start out aye . And of course Australia had an inland sea , Eromanga and covered pretty much that area you're in . Are you on a road trip mate ? Half your luck if you are , lol . 🤣 Safe travels Buddy . 👍👍Cheers Ned . ✌
Yep road trip, with some camping. Hoping to go this afternoon to Andamooka to have a hunt for some opal with the black light! Thanks for watching the trip mate, more to come. It is something different from the normal content . Cheers buddy
Looks like what we call a hot spring. We have them here in Colorado USA. In Glenwood Springs Colorado they have a swimming pool that is nice and warm. So warm that when we have ice and snow on the ground in the winter. You can climb in and get warm fast. And if that's not warm enough you can go into one even hotter. They also have the vapor caves. It's said that those are the reason doc holiday chose Glenwood Springs to go to get better but his tb was to far advanced. When you have time and internet. Check out Glenwood Springs Colorado vapor caves and hot springs. We have other towns with hot springs as well.
Yes it is an interesting area for a change. A lot of hot springs in OZ as well. I will check it out. Thanks for watching and especially commenting
@@andypandyAU.6669 awesome!. And you are welcome. I like to help people out when they are starting. I can't give money. But a like and comment is free :-)
Looks like an awesome adventure

Ta mate,
What a load of boring nonsense
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙂
Gee what a positive and constructive comment. Getting in your positive karma for the day I see
Cool spot brother...time to start testing
Not out here , checked a couple of pans, just for kicks. Ran a round with my detector a little , zero. Cheers Mark
Just letting you know we are watching your adventure on the big screen so no comments. We are very much enjoying the trip so far👍👍
Oooh that makes me feel all warm inside, because it is cold out here at night. So thanks mate, on to Andamooka for some black lighting tomorrow! Whoo hoo🥰🤪🤠
@@andypandyAU.6669 that sounds amazing mate. Have they had any recent rain up there? It’s pretty chilly down here too!!
@@piratescrew1869 yes, I think they did as a few boggy sections on the road in. None while we have been here though, just crystal clear skies. Cheers mate
Pretty cool stuff Andy....the orange colour look like either fire opal or amber, and maybe your dads stones are topaz ,dunno, I'm no expert lol
Me neither, but I do like rocks! And lick them. Thanks for watching
Great channel...great content 👌 loved it...
Something, somewhere different than home ,thats for sure 👍
Awesome land, amazing oasis, Andy. The long bit of coral you'd put on the rock at the end, you can see the waves in the hardened sand of a lapping inland seashore. All that ironstone sitting on the surface and the hot artesian watercourse, it's the lowest point for the moonscape around. Mineralised water and porous materials make for the opportunity for opalisation, from seashells to full dinosaurs. We'd thoughts for offering stations volunteer works to save shearing sheds, worker's quarters, early homesteads, many owned by major corporations that no longer use the people, equipment, ways of the past, and these things shouldn't go to ruin, but be available for visitors and even the local enterprises to keep joints alive and supporting local (yeah, hundreds of k's!) communities and economies. Of course I'd be brick-sawing likely fossils, ball-end hammer, if nothing else, rock on rock. One's own geological survey for the greater good, one happy camper at a time, it's a fair philosophy. Water, drinkable water, don't run out! Be well, well to well! Gabi, over and out.
I do love going to those hard to get to places, the more remote the better. Just for the depths of winter, it is clear skies, clearer nights! The stars, wow. On to Andamooka tomorrow, do a bit of black lighting! Thanks for watching and especially commenting. Cheers Andy
@@andypandyAU.6669 Stay safe, good luck for a full thick pizza box cache with the UV! Mind the fluoro scorpions. We've got a great lot of images of outback SA, Arkaroola, Innamincka, Cunnamulka... Can't place where Dry Lagoon is, giant dish and comms for '69 moon landing, nothing there now. So many places I'd go by sight, but too much itinerary will cramp the fun, you seem either have tons of experience, or combined with sensible top bit, sensible footwear, & will travel. 🤙👍
wild landscape enjoy the trip mate
It is, we are! Thanks Andrew
I was waiting for the Pan to come out
😂 Already have! Nothing! But expected that. Beautiful country Cheers Victor
Any mozzies im that water? Probably an ancient inland sea
Not a one! Lot of black flys though! An amazing place
Enjoy your adventures, Andy, if you decide to go back via Farina, check if the 4WD people will be there baking bread in the repaired bakehouse, we'd seen a few shows they'd taken that place to heart and made it a go-to 4WD destination, also "farina" is the Italian word for flour, though their hard work couldn't make enough of that marginal land to make it beyond the fifties. Be well, stay safe and enjoy, mate. Cheers. G.
Amazing place
G’day Andy, just got this notification. Haven’t the time to watch it just now but I’ll watch it soon mate. Cheers 🍻🍻🍻🇦🇺
Looks the goods, mate. Absolutely stunning landscape out there
Definitely different from home
Your making me reminisce Andy. Ah to be on the bank of the cooper fishing for red fin. I hope there's plenty of bird life there. With the boar near by im tipping the birds would flock there at night. Cheers mate
Paula is loving it, grouse bucket list spot
Nice mate, looks like your having a great time, keep enjoying the adventure. Cheers Pete 👍
It has been a grouse trip so far, thanks for checking it out. More to come as we travel. Cheers Pete, regards Andy
How beautiful are the Flinders Ranges. Its easy to see why Jack absalom loved painting the area so much. Glad your having a good trip. Cheers mate 👍 I'll talk to you soon
Until you see it with your own eyes, it is amazing. Yes enjoying the trip for sure. Cheers mate
Liked, shared and commented. That “new” police station looks a bit less secure than any I’ve ever camped in lol. I guess the perpetrators r on the honor system.🍻🗽🤴🏻 7:29
New? I suppose 70 years ago makes it not so new😂 Cheers Joseph for watching. Regards Andy
That thing looks quick and easy to use, nice job man!
It is very quick, thanks for watching and especially commenting it is very much appreciated
Yeah ,the forward classifier is a great idea Andy , they definitely speed things up . I have often thought of putting one in the sluice , just never got round to it lol 😁, i don't use the sluices much that's probably why , but they are a great idea . Top Job Buddy 👍👍 Cheers Ned . ✌
If you have the water flow, it definitely speeds up the processing. In good ground would be great. Thanks for watching mate. Cheers Andy
His arse looks like it wants to overtake
Yes it does, loves a good skoot session. Thanks for watching 😊
Nice little score

Thanks buddy, did you have a look at "Frenchy's" video on the prize dirt jar? Quite surprising what extra was in the mine tailings! Cheers Andy
@@andypandyAU.6669 I did not. I’m quite behind on u tube atm. I just caught up to 2 days behind lol
@@josephknowlton7246 all good buddy, still worth checking his video
That was awesome thanks Andy
Glad you liked it, something different. Just a small part of a larger collection of rocks and gemstones. Thanks for watching mate
That's a nice little collection there Andy. The fossil rock with all the shells is awesome
It is a good one. Cheers mate
Its awesome having enough water to run a river sluice again. The classifier worked a treat. Cheers mate Luke
Cheers buddy, that spot is now under 2 feet of flowing water! Catch ya soon
Cool, Andy. Hadn't seen opal luminesce after fluorescence. Can't beat late granma's green plastic Jezza, mate, fantastic Italian fluorescent plastic. We did like seeing the rubies glow, although wished you'd put the excellent blacklight torch onto your tray of gemstones, to see the blue sapphires turn the glowing pink like the rubies. The purple piece, maybe an opaque purple sapphire? There's a giant black sapphire called "The Star Of Queensland" displays asterism, a six-pointed star-effect in sunlight, caused by the layout of the crystal structure, silkiness, but star sapphires have to have an eggy pointed dome for the effect to show. We're chuffed you're to be off on an extended break... I'm still reminded of the feeling for the mystery detour, coming to take you away, take you today... We'd been to some country farm excursion in primary school, and out of an ethnic kid's language misunderstanding, when the principal announced, "Now, we're returning to lost property!" we cheered loudly, luckily the kids thought I was being ironic, the staff thought me an anti-authoritarian! We still look forward to returning to "Lost Property"!😮😂
@@gabivalla6279 glad you liked the vid, something different. Thanks for watching
Nice collection brother!
Thanks mate, but that is just a few of the rocks and gems I have acquired over the years. Slowly I shall be showing the rest
Hi, Could it be Moranbah diamonds?
Could be ,I grew up near Moura Central Queensland. We spent a bit of time out that way as a kid. Thanks for that, I will have to do some research on that. Thank you for watching and especially commenting. Regards Andy
@@andypandyAU.6669 I have heard that they are very hard to cut/ facet and hard on the diamond dremel bits as well. I had a few of those Moranbah diamonds as well and it looks similar. Thanks for the answer.
@@yippeekari3021 thank you for the info , I did check them out, these are very waterworn. But I think they may be Moranbah Diamond's. Thanks for the comments, Regards Andy
Looking good indeed fam. Keep at it. Gold Squad Out 🤠
Thanks mate, regards Andy 👍
when u see a dam like that it was made by another prospector and u can be sure that spot is probably empty! test pan first bro!
Shhh , it was my river sluice spot from 2 years ago
Plus it was a test run of the forward classifier, it had plenty of black sand , so it was catching the heavy's!
Nice one, cheers for the vid. Where did you find the perforated sheet?
A previous video of a old compressor belt guard is what I made it from.
Good to see the home made forward classifier in the creek working like a ripper well done 👍 all the best
Thanks 👍
That's the real world in the UK, LOL
Well , I know there is better ground out there. It was just a test of the concept, it works well. This was filmed a week and a half ago. We are now in the depths of a winter blast from Antarctica (rain, snow and cold as) that spot is now raging under 1 metre of water, gold is on the move! Thanks for watching , best of luck over there Regards Andy
look at all that water. Nice job on the sluice andy seems to do the job well. Seeing how quick chriss hammers through bucket those style sluices are awesome. Great video andy
It is grouse to pump the material through for sure, just need the good ground now. Maybe after the flooding, that spot now is under 2 foot of flowing creek. Lucky being mountains it subsides just as fast! Thanks for checking it out Gadzee, regards Andy
Nice work Andy, looks like it works a treat.
It does when you have the water flow! At the moment there is too much my creek is in flood. How is your water situation? Thanks for watching Pete 😊
@andypandyAU.6669 I'd imagine we'd have puddles at best, the creeks here don't hold water real well.
@PetesGoldAdventures a puddle to pan on is better than no puddle! Best of luck, you will be swinging it anyway
You’ve done very well buddy and it looks great
It works and cost bugger all, I am happy with it. It does speed up moving material. A good creek and its on! Cheers big fella. Regards Andy
G'Day Andy, Good job buddy you're doing okay, keep it up 👍👍 Cheers Kev
Cheers "Big Kev" trying to have a go! Did you want me send ya some black sand? 🤣
@@andypandyAU.6669 Hell yeah 👍 Send it my way if you don't want it👍 Thanks Andy.

Sluice setup is looking good Andy, Smudge makes a great coat hanger I'm sure he appreciates the extra warmth.good luck on your next gold adventure mate.
Thanks , it is working well enough for me at this stage. It does process very quickly, just need a good creek with decent colour! Cheers , thanks for stopping by and especially commenting. Regards Andy
