Your making me reminisce Andy. Ah to be on the bank of the cooper fishing for red fin. I hope there's plenty of bird life there. With the boar near by im tipping the birds would flock there at night. Cheers mate
Awesome land, amazing oasis, Andy. The long bit of coral you'd put on the rock at the end, you can see the waves in the hardened sand of a lapping inland seashore. All that ironstone sitting on the surface and the hot artesian watercourse, it's the lowest point for the moonscape around. Mineralised water and porous materials make for the opportunity for opalisation, from seashells to full dinosaurs. We'd thoughts for offering stations volunteer works to save shearing sheds, worker's quarters, early homesteads, many owned by major corporations that no longer use the people, equipment, ways of the past, and these things shouldn't go to ruin, but be available for visitors and even the local enterprises to keep joints alive and supporting local (yeah, hundreds of k's!) communities and economies. Of course I'd be brick-sawing likely fossils, ball-end hammer, if nothing else, rock on rock. One's own geological survey for the greater good, one happy camper at a time, it's a fair philosophy. Water, drinkable water, don't run out! Be well, well to well! Gabi, over and out.
I do love going to those hard to get to places, the more remote the better. Just for the depths of winter, it is clear skies, clearer nights! The stars, wow. On to Andamooka tomorrow, do a bit of black lighting! Thanks for watching and especially commenting. Cheers Andy
@@andypandyAU.6669 Stay safe, good luck for a full thick pizza box cache with the UV! Mind the fluoro scorpions. We've got a great lot of images of outback SA, Arkaroola, Innamincka, Cunnamulka... Can't place where Dry Lagoon is, giant dish and comms for '69 moon landing, nothing there now. So many places I'd go by sight, but too much itinerary will cramp the fun, you seem either have tons of experience, or combined with sensible top bit, sensible footwear, & will travel. 🤙👍
That's an Amazing place Andy , you can see first hand pretty much how first Hydrothermal Deposits start out aye . And of course Australia had an inland sea , Eromanga and covered pretty much that area you're in . Are you on a road trip mate ? Half your luck if you are , lol . 🤣 Safe travels Buddy . 👍👍Cheers Ned . ✌
Yep road trip, with some camping. Hoping to go this afternoon to Andamooka to have a hunt for some opal with the black light! Thanks for watching the trip mate, more to come. It is something different from the normal content . Cheers buddy
Looks like what we call a hot spring. We have them here in Colorado USA. In Glenwood Springs Colorado they have a swimming pool that is nice and warm. So warm that when we have ice and snow on the ground in the winter. You can climb in and get warm fast. And if that's not warm enough you can go into one even hotter. They also have the vapor caves. It's said that those are the reason doc holiday chose Glenwood Springs to go to get better but his tb was to far advanced. When you have time and internet. Check out Glenwood Springs Colorado vapor caves and hot springs. We have other towns with hot springs as well.
@@andypandyAU.6669 awesome!. And you are welcome. I like to help people out when they are starting. I can't give money. But a like and comment is free :-)
Oooh that makes me feel all warm inside, because it is cold out here at night. So thanks mate, on to Andamooka for some black lighting tomorrow! Whoo hoo🥰🤪🤠
@@piratescrew1869 yes, I think they did as a few boggy sections on the road in. None while we have been here though, just crystal clear skies. Cheers mate
