Line lock and mini spool install on 66 C10, then test burnouts!
Просмотров 376Месяц назад
Getting closer to finishing up the LS swapped, bagged, 1966 Chevy c10. On this episode I install a line lock kit to lock out the rear brakes, as well as a mini spool in the rearend. And after all that we topped it off by doing a few burnouts to test it all out! #restoration #diy #mechanic #automobile
Amazing results after some patina blending and fresh clear coat!

I’m definitely no pro with a paint gun, but the Ls swapped, 66 Chevy c10 looks great with a protective layer of clear coat over the patina! And we’re one step closer to finishing this build. #automobile #chevrolet #classic #truck
Will it Run? World’s rustiest 65 Ford Thunderbird!
Просмотров 7 тыс.2 месяца назад
On this episode I’m working on a 1965 Ford Thunderbird that has been sitting in the yard waiting for a rainy day. I picked this car up for free from some folks that were trying to clean up their back yard, which happened to be right by the ocean. In my opinion it is not a restorable car, but it has a complete drivetrain so I figured why not! Let’s see what we can do with it. #willitrun #automob...
Will it Run? 1937 Nash with family history! Can we get it done on time for a 70th birthday surprise?

On this episode, we dive into a 1937 Nash ambassador 6 that was parked in 1961, so it has been sitting for 63 years! It is still in the same family that bought it new, locally in 1937. This was an extremely special and emotional build with a lot of ups and downs. We only have 5 weeks to pull it off, follow along to see if we can get it running and back on the road to surprise the son of the ori...
One day to prep this 440 challenger to sell! And do a burnout!
Просмотров 7973 месяца назад
A good friend of mine is selling his Dodge Challenger with a 440 in it! There’s just one issue, it falls on its face when you mash the skinny pedal. So we’re spending a day to fix a few issues and try to correct that problem and possibly do a proper burnout in it. Let’s see what we can do! #mopar #automobile #mechanic #challenger #dodge

How do these people get NEW PARTS for a car this old this Amazes me if you were in my country you would have to make everything
Loved everything about this vid !! First vid I found of your channel … keep it up bro happy holidays to you and your fam!!
Dent could be from cows🐂 rubbing one out🤠🇺🇸
Sounds good ! Yeah loud as hell ! 👍🏼
I bet that farmer is really hitting the bottle know !
Real neat project, and made especially cool that a female in that age group gets excited to drive a 50+ year old MANUAL TRANS truck. BUT - as nice as it cleaned up after the clearcoat, IMO I would have had to paint the area under the fuel filler on the cab.
How much
Oh I forgot those tires and rims make the truck. There wicked....
Thank you, my buddy that owns the truck wanted to stick with a somewhat era correct wheel/tire combo.
And to think I had a 1977 hi boy new with the Dana 60 front axle. Kept it 2 years and traded it. If I had known then what I do now. What a fool I was. I would give you a blank check for that one...
Oh man, yea these trucks are getting quite popular now, we’ve actually got a couple more in the works already.
I used to own 1 of these and learned alot about it....mine was also a 79......it is a conversion performed when new by "Brahma"...the front wheel hubs shud be aluminum to accept the stock Mazda/Courier rotors, the stock transmission tailshaft is replaced with an adapter to bolt on the aluminum transfer case of wich I never knew the make....the rear axle has a spring over performed....I grew tired of bending the steering pitman arm when out playing around and the steering very hard to turn as it REALLY needs power steering....the engine power is "lacking" with larger wheels and more weight also the gearing too high (3.73)....older couriers have 4.11...hope this helps....it was hard to keep water out of the front wheel bearings and had to replace more than once.....don't mess up those front hubs.....I don't know where a new one could be found..
Interesting, I completely agree on the steering, this thing is a bear to turn, I might have to figure out some kind of power steering since it is my wife’s truck, and would like it to be a bit more user friendly.
front pieces
Just had a donor 37 Nash delivered a few weeks ago with fenders on it, so will be adding those on soon.
Wow, use to have a 38 like this, that is a great motor. Dual overhead valve motor. I use to belong to the TNT or The Nash Times. Hard to find parts for these cars. Sold mine many years ago. Good luck
Thank you! We just had another 37 delivered from North Carolina about 2 weeks ago, we plan to use the front fenders on the one in the video, and make a video in the other one in the near future.
I really doubt that car had those miles on it and there is no way it would hold up. 😮 that's roughly 25 K miles a year since it been off the road. Maybe 159k if your lucky but still a nice car
when building this project did you investigate whether the pitickuler mother was used in other car models of the error
uuuugh!! i saw enough.
My brother's 65 GMC short bed looked like that, but it now has a new 350 and a 350 Turbo trans with street gears (highway) 30 years ago. It's a beauty with a white paint job, chrome grille and bumper, and 6-lug rally wheels. Valued at $20k! At that time the truck had a blown engine so he offered the guy a little trailer for it. What a deal!
That’s awesome! Those Shortbed’s are tough to find anymore. My buddy and I picked another one up recently with a big back window that will hopefully be on the channel soon as well.
@@Rustwrangler Try finding a GMC those are rare. Love that aggressive GMC grille! I see one parked in a driveway for a few years now just sitting there showing that GMC grille... long bed though.
@ we just picked up a gmc big back window parts truck this past weekend. And it still has a perfect grille!
@@Rustwrangler My brother bought a perfect chrome grille with GMC emblems and chrome bumper sitting in an auto dismantler yard. He has a small window GMC short bed.
Beautiful job,but it should have been painted otiginal, there is no such thing as patina, that is only, neglect.
Great car brothers yall are an awesome crew
Thanks a lot! Appreciate that.
Man that’s a beautiful old car
It sure is isn’t it! We’ve actually got another one now, same year and model that we’ll hopefully be working on soon.
Neighbors called the fire department.
Haha, thankfully I don’t have too many neighbors that are close by!
67 Chevy?
It’s a 66.
Very nice truck
Apache?
@@hughmann3820 thank you! It’s a 66 Chevy c10 that I’ve been building for the past couple years. I’ve got a lot to learn about tuning on the Ls motor yet though..
Beautiful truck great job
Nice burn out
Still a lot of tuning to do, but it makes smoke so I’m happy!
idk why not just buy a nice new one?
Like, being a “one owner” really matters with this heap.
Nice resurrection! its even a Rust red in Color :), I bought a 1974 4X4 version of this a few years ago for a winter vehicle, I was frustrated as every time I worked on it because every nut and bolt I removed broke off and to top it off very bad electrical problems, what I found was every single ground connection between wire harness and frame and body panels were no longer conductive😍
Oh man, sounds like yours was in worse shape than this one! Cool trucks though.
Now that was cool thanks 👍👍👍👍👍😊
Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching!
If you aren't catching something on fire, deffinately not doing something right 😂
Haha! That’s right!
lost me at "door card" its a damn door panel!
Nice job getting that thing running!! The gas tank strapped to the hood is a nice touch, but the aerodynamics are shot now 😂😂😂
Thank you! I made sure I was using a super aerodynamic boat tank, to improve even more on the fuel mileage of these trucks. 😂
Thank you! I made sure I was using a super aerodynamic boat tank, to improve even more on the fuel mileage of these trucks. 😂
That truck has a lot of potential RR! Didn't think it would take long to sell. As long the frame is good and most of the cab and lower body, it is a restorable unit for most. great job, and Your video editing and talking has really improved since you started! It's great to see new faces succeed in this business today.
Thanks a lot Robert! I really appreciate that you noticed the improvement. I was pretty surprised this truck actually ran pretty decent, and it sold pretty much right away as well.
Fun fact, that hood is made to kink in an accident as not to de-capatate ya . The hood would actually take the heads off of the test dummies before this safety feature.
Interesting! I did not know that.
HEY RUST WRANGLER, MAX 9 YR.S AND I -DAD HEARED YA!! WENT TO THE RODEO , ??? HOPE YA!! HAD FUN ,, WOW!! WHAT X-MAS TRUCK,. TO DELIVER GIFTS--BRIGHT RED,, WITH ALL LIGHTS ON ..CAN SHE DO IT??? Glad you liked it, thanks for watching!
Where do you live; I have an F250 project I could use some help with.
Best video I've watched on a mark V so far. My '79 has had me aggravated for the past few years. This gave me a little more morale to get back to troubleshooting and fixing! Haha She drives, but its always something. Thank you for making and sharing this. Very enjoyable and great job getting her up and going!
Thanks a lot! Glad to hear it helped you with your project.
You need a body mic for outside recording
Yea, I had one I was messing around with, but it came out too distorted, so I’m working on getting a better one.
😮

Imagine the day that car was brand new. The world was much different. I wonder if that motor has been out before in the past. Like we do these days. One thing different is new cars today can not sit in the weather those amounts of years. They would be way too far gone to do anything with them. The metal used back then was way different than today.
Yea, they definitely don’t make cars with quality metal anymore. As far as the motor being out before, I’m not 100% sure, but there was a new piece of metal welded on the front of the frame for one of the engine mounts.
