I would agree and say that something is rear but I would say that a rare one would be a six with a the five speed with the same package. Great evening and Fourth of July.
You have to push the clutch pedal for it to start also if you put 12 volts to the fuel shut off switch. fuel switch is on the injection pump. The engine will run on it's without any help as long as the fuel switch has power
If you ever have the problem of it not shutting off there is a switch on the underside of injection pump you can pull it down I believe lol my 94 does it randomly but 12vs are the best
Super rare truck. Appears to be decent mileage, 138K? Was the farmer a demolition derby enthusiast? Only thing that doesn't seem to be dented is the roof. That Cummins was purring.
It was just sitting out in a field in eastern Washington, so I’m sure the dents are a combination of whiskey dents and farm equipment getting too close. I wish I would have shown it, but the motor had absolutely no blow by.
@@ilikewarthunder8598they didn’t. They quit making crew cabs in 86. And didn’t start using Cummins until 89. A lot of people take an 81-86 crew cab tho and swap a Cummins into it
They made tons of 5sp 4wd first gens. They never made a 4 door with a Cummins in any configuration tho. They are swapped all the time. But never were produced
Hey Steve! White caddy is doing good, but I’m in the process of collecting parts for it right now. Also picked up two more caddy’s that’ll be on the channel soon.
Definitely not a factory built truck. Crew cabs stopped in 85. Probably either a stretched 91 regular cab or it's a crew that has had a Cummins truck donor used to build it
Can’t believe it fired right up. Holding pressure in the lines that long, man you got a gem on your hands
That is the good old stuff. Just like old Cats etc. They can be sat for decades and light off immediately. Love the old stuff
That is one well loved truck! At least it isn't pure rust, Southern Ontario all you would find is the hood on a pile of rust! Lol
Haha, yea, even though pretty much every single body panel on this truck is dented, it’s surprisingly very rust free!
Can’t be many of those around. Can’t wait to see what you work on next! 👍🏽
Lol, there’s this guy I know, that keeps buying vehicles! Never know what he’s going to drag in to the rust ranch next!
That a good truck
Nice find. That sounds like the 12 valve my stepdad had. You have a awesome opportunity on your hands
oh wiring your favorite :) and there is a sale on Coors light here in Wisconsin so I had to buy:)
Haha, nice! Gotta stay hydrated right?
Awesome find! I love that truck. You should fix it up and daily drive that.
We had a donor truck lined up to use for the body panels, but this truck already went to a new owner.
thats so impressive it just came right to life 😂
Yea it surprised me, definitely didn’t expect that!
Thanks!!
Its a CUMMINS! What do you expect!

Happy 4th of July!
U know what else is super rare? When I have solid shit in the mornin when I wake up
its hard to do a will it run on a 12 valve because they always run

I did try bypassing the clutch pedal sensor to see if it was bad and keeping the key from starting it, but it didn’t change anything.

I found out later on that there is a lever on the fuel pump to shut it down, I ended up rigging a pull string into the cab to shut it down.

@@Rustwrangler Are you going to repair the body? It will quite a bit of dent repair.
I thought they didn’t make crew cabs for the 1st gen?
@@ilikewarthunder8598 Neither did I. Could have been a rare few that were made from existing bodies used for the military?

Be a cool project
Definitely! Replace the main body panels other than the cab, and it would pretty much be good to go.

On ve pumps the shut off lever is on the side pull it back towards the cab to shut it off

Did that whistling diesel guy own that truck before because the body looks like he did
Haha! No kidding!
Never made a crew cab diesel. They stopped making the crew cab in 85, of coarse gas only at that point. Its not rare, its a custom build.
Damm Rust that truck is sweet how is the white caddy doing we need update videos lol

I saw that for sale on facebook marketplace haha she needs some help.
Yea the body is mauled, but solid. Somebody already picked it up too!
How. Much was it ? That trucks got lots of potential especially with the w350 axels
Might be rare where you are at but those trucks were a dime a dozen in the rust and farm belt.
I think what makes it rare is the combo of body/drivetrain options for that year.
@@Rustwranglerit’s not rare. It’s a swap
I would just get a new or used engine bay harness off of ebay
How much did you pay for this truck?
Haha, about the amount that you would normally buy just the rearend for.
Just cuzz it's old it works better than any new truck needs a Lil tlc 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Just a little cosmetic work, and it’ll be ship shape!
I put the Cummins in a square body
Gay
25 😀
of course its locked up in the rear. your pinion gear is just flopping around in there 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂 yeah……..
Like how does someone destroy a truck that bad or y would they
You interested in selling?
Unfortunately it’s already gone to a new home.
@@Rustwrangler lucky new owner
I see you have a 67 galaxie 500 that was my first car. Mine had a 289 three on tree, with overdrive.
It is a 67, but it’s a ford country sedan, will be on the next video.
