In all my years as a Technician, I have never seen any rodents in the cylinders! I have found them in carbs, intake manifolds, and exhausts! Great video Rust Rangler, you have come a long way since you started. That Falcon will make a great project or daily driver when cleaned up and a few floors patched up! I had a '61 Futura Coupe with a 144, bucket seats and console in Hawaii in '77 when stationed and took back to the mainland later that year when moved back. Fun car to drive.
I appreciate the kind words Robert. I couldn’t believe how well that motor ran after it fired up, because I had my doubts on if I was going to be able to pull those mice out without pulling the heads. And I can’t remember if you mentioned before that you were stationed in Hawaii, but thank you for your service sir!
"Will It Run?"s are one of my new favorite RUclipss. Great to see you doing these. My first car was a beat-up 67 Cougar. What I wouldn't give to have it & some garage space now.
Hey man not trying to be a know it all Charlie but having been a mechanic for over 60 years and also worked in a couple of Ford dealerships the next time you get a stuck motor like the one you just worked on do your self a favor and pull the valve cover to make sure that you dont have any valves that are stuck closed otherwise you might end up with some bent push rods!! You got lucky there with that one for sure but nice job getting it running though and I have seen mice crawl up through the exhaust system and build there nests inside the cylinders before!
16:00 Now THAT is entertainment!!!! LOL!! I've NEVER seen anything like THAT!! Mickey didn't stand a chance but at least he gets to go out with a BANG!! (Oh that's a terrible joke) Or is it?? LOL. Yes it is.
In my humble opinion. The fuel lines have an unsealed area. There's a place where it;s not totally sealed so it's sucking partial air when the pump is trying to pull fuel. I'd say it's where the fuel was dripping.......Oh you just said it in the video as I'm commenting. LOL. Funny!
The leak by the tank I fixed by replacing the filler hose. And the leak up front I fixed by replacing the little rubber line, and making sure the hose clamps were tight and in the right position.
this car should have a plate under the carburator that warm water run all time...thru and in to the heater element...you only change airflow between or through the heater element. if you want heat or cool air to the inside of the car. There should be a gasolinefilter in metal that is sitting by nuts but 2 diferent dimension front -end...directly to the pump and from the tank.
Disgust!! Stoopid mice. While alive they can fit through spaces much smaller than theirm bodies. If that motor is eating mice can we call it a CATillac?
Love!
I had 1964 Ford falcon with a v- 8, 4 door, got the looks, the boys weren't looking at me ...sadly..damn I loved that car!❤
Nice, with the styling of the body and all, they are super classy cars!

I had to subscribe. Anyone who can do a "will it run" and a DIY cremation all in one video is aces in my book. And on one of my favorite cars to boot.
Haha, the cremation didn’t go quite as well as I’d hoped. Thanks for the sub.
Fast paced and good editing , great video 👍
Thanks a lot! I appreciate that.
Veddy nice
My dad had one just like it but was a woody back in the day! You always have the coolest cars, brother!✌️
I just talked to dad about it and I was wrong, his was a 64.. Too freaking cool, man!

Thank you! I’m assuming you don’t have the 67 cougar anymore?
@@Rustwrangler No sadly long gone. Good times though!
My father bought a cougar XR7 new in 1970.
Great Car!

Definitely, I probably should have pulled the valve cover, but I was trying my best to not have to. Thankfully it all worked out!
lmao nice man, first time I've seen a mouse in the combustion chamber.
Haha, same here.
Never seen a car run on coors beer before
Bravo!
😂 keeps the cylinder walls lubed up while trying to start after that many years!
I bought one when I was young.
Put a 351 Windsor in it. No one could even come close Catching me👍
Oh I’ll bet that was a hoot! That’s a pretty small car too.
un gran volume del obra 👋👋👋
for sure this is entertaining Mice in the cylinders, :) glad you didn't feed the leftovers to your cat :)
Haha, yea, I couldn’t believe it, but I guess now I know, I’d rather find cars with the spark plugs still in it.
Great video!
Thank you!
great car
Sweet wagon
Make sure your floats not sticking.😊

Haha, we had Mickey in one cylinder and Minnie in another!
Awesome I would be interested depending where your at
Northwest Washington
thats a tight solid find. no sweat right?
Definitely a solid find! No sweat at all!

Haha, yes, that is exactly what was going on with the fuel issue.
A friend had one with a Shelby engine in it.
Wow, the mouse got cremated!
The mouse died during the Carter administration 😅
😂
Hey buddy what did u do with the blue lincoln i like that car can you do a update video n how u been man
Hey Steve! Been great! How about you? Unfortunately I sold the blue Lincoln, I had to make more room in the yard.
Trans fluid mixed with acetone seems to work for a lot of folks for unsticking engines
Yea, I’ve seen a few folks using that concoction as well. Might have to give it a try at some point.
FYI next time try diesel fuel down the cylinders replace the oil with diesel fuel and also you can clean the outside of the motor with diesel fuel
My question how did you fix those gas leaks in the tank and the one up front?
The leak by the tank I fixed by replacing the filler hose. And the leak up front I fixed by replacing the little rubber line, and making sure the hose clamps were tight and in the right position.
I think you should have checked all the cylinders to make sure they went mouses and those could have runt a good car
Falcon ate some mice...
Why’s it have a Chevy mouse motor?
this car should have a plate under the carburator that warm water run all time...thru and in to the heater element...you only change airflow between or through the heater element. if you want heat or cool air to the inside of the car. There should be a gasolinefilter in metal that is
sitting by nuts but 2 diferent dimension front -end...directly to the pump and from the tank.
Interesting, I’ll have to check that out, thanks.
Thats not a stereo its the stock AM radio.
I knew someone wouldn't let that pass.😃
I noticed it too and mentioned it why should we let it go@@66skate
@@RonaldDaub-xi5jz Because we don't need an ignorance contest. Obvious is obvious.
Am monostereo we never called them stereos
My bad, his was a 63' but basically the same car. Even the color!
Nice! I can’t say I’ve ever even seen another one other than this one.
That's exactly what dad said for years! Especially a woody wagon but you surely found one! Love it!
The mice in the cylinders is crazy!! I have never seen such a thing!? Wild
Why yes you do
Make sure your 😊gas cap is vented.
No fil is not cheap at484 pr galon
Disgust!! Stoopid mice. While alive they can fit through spaces much smaller than theirm bodies. If that motor is eating mice can we call it a CATillac?
Haha, I’m sure those mice went in there a lot easier than it was to get them out.
just find a motor for it
The motor ended up running very well!
