Dalton : Sees the battery has slid over and made contact with the car, shorting it casing a small fire. Also Dalton: Pushes it back and doesn't put anything next to it to stop it sliding again, then immediately does a donut to fling it back out the the body work. ^_^ Y'all are all kinds of Crazy. LOVE it. I hope you never get seriously hurt but godamn, never change!
Test drive with Dalton, summary: -Car wobbles like a bouncy castle at a birthday party -Brakes reenact D-Day -Bumper doesn't want to live anymore -Battery goes into terror mode -Engine compartment opens gate to hell -Carburetor wants ALL the power -Radiator turns into a geyser Was it successful? "Absolutely!" - Dalton 2023
The multi person painting method was actually super wholesome. Brought back a lot of memories of me and my dad painting his Nova as a kid with two guns and me doing horribly and him fixing my mistakes. Father of the year, decade, century, millennia, whatever. You won.
JD is going to have stories for years to tell his kids someday, "...and your crazy grandfather and I decided to dress up like 70s era TV cops and speed around the neighborhood in our 70s era TV cop car..."
Is there anything better than steaming piles of LTD's while eating dinner, I think not! JD's got the life! Who else gets to build a cop car in a day and go thrashing it? Dalton, you are the best dad ever 👍👍
I love watching old vehicles get rescued and reborn. Your channel, Vice Grip Garage, Junkyard Digs/MOOK, and doubtless others yet to be discovered, really grab my ADHD brain’s attention. 😅
🤣🤣 the end of this video is so darn hilarious, JD with the raybans and the moustache is about the funniest thing I’ve seen in a while he looks so serious. You gotta be so proud of that little man. You guys are hilarious. Rosco P Coltrane and Enos chasing them Duke boys 🤣🤣🤣
Love the old LTD's. There's nothing like floating down the highway, one finger on the wheel skillfully navigating the 1/4 turn of slop in the wheel. All while getting 8mpg. poor pup at 20:30 saw its life flash before its eyes. Haha.
I just imagine some 70 year old grandma on her front porch watching y'all fly back and forth in that car thinking y'all are the real police!!!😂😂😂 She's on the phone with Brenda telling her everything she's seeing!!!🤣🤣
I had to stop drinking my coffee until I finished the video since some of it exited through my nose. Absolutely hysterical! What doesn't burn the car to the ground only makes it stronger. On the maiden voyage the brakes nearly shake the car to pieces, the bumper falls off and it catches on fire... SUCCESS! Easily my favorite youtube channel! You and JD are comic gold!
That kid definitely has some balls, cause the last thing I'd want to hear while riding in a car is "These brakes are so weird; see, I've never felt that before"
Great video! I laughed so much. The adventures of JD and Dalton never cease to amaze. The citizens of Missouri should rest easy knowing two of the finest are keeping them safe.
The PBG Trinity has created a new masterpiece! Bravo👏🏻👏🏻Just to see JD in a mustache and Ray Bans was priceless🥸🥸 You guys are hilarious. I giggled out load🤣 Thank you for sharing👍🏻 I appreciate you all and hope Jesse feels better soon🙂
There's a soft spot in my heart for the LTD. My nana had a 75 with the 400 in it. 2 door.. Canary yellow with the black vinyl (yuck) top on it. I loved that car. It sat in her driveway all my life as a kid, I learned how to work on the carburetor the brakes do the belts tune up, all that as a little kid. I LOVED that car.. she had let me drive it once at 15 (she didn't care) and she told me one day it would be mine.. well.. she passed away when I was 16 and my uncle sold it to one of his friend's kids because he didn't want me to kill myself it in. 2 weeks after he sold it, the kid cracked it up and was in the hospital for months. I never forgave him for selling it, that was supposed to be MY car. Oh well.. I'd probably still have that old hunk of junk today. NO it wasn't a hunk of junk, that was nana's car.. they bought it brand new to drive to AZ for something, (we live in NJ) and my popop passed away in 82, and she held onto that car for the rest of her life.. it had like 42k miles on it.. it was beautiful (as beautiful as a 75 LTD could be I suppose) .. man I loved that car..
Great episode, put this one on the pole barn garage greatest hits list! I just joined the low buck club. Some of my favorite episodes that you do are of the hoopty 70s Fords like this one and the grand marquis. Keep up the good work and keep JD and Jess in the episodes!
When I was a kid my grandparents, had a '75 Custom 500 ex-interceptor. Dad bought it from them. I remember coming home and he told me to look at speedo. 137 mph on the 140 speedo that was marked "certified calibration". We loved that car. Was immaculate. Found it years later in amazing shape at a local used car auction site. Still regret not buying that car.
Can't wait to watch it. You partly inspired me to go and buy a 1954 Land Rover series 1 that hasn't run for 10 years as my first car. Me and my dad have always worked on his cars, but this one shall be mine. Thank you
Rustoleum Gloss Black and a foam roller has resulted in a surprisingly decent paint job on my race cars. Painted 4 different cars with the same gallon over the years - a 94 Silverado, a 91 Dakota, a 92 Roadmaster and a 94 Prism. Still have some left.
This is awesome. I miss this kind of nonsense on the channel. A side note - the first cars I remember my mom having were a blue then brown ltd in that body style.
The blue one reminds me of uncle bucks car lol! Paint it brown and make it back fire like a champ 😂. But the mercury is actually the correct one for the job, The cop car idea was totally awesome though! Always wanted to find an LTD like the MIB car and put a rowdy 351 in it with super quiet exhaust and just make it roast tires
I'm SURE y'all had this rig licensed and insured driving on public roads lol. Seriously, thanks for all the laughs and fun projects!!! I don't know where you get the energy but keep it coming!!!!
You guys had way too much fun with this project. Now you'll have to start pronouncing the word vehicle as vee-hickle. Also, the flame thrower was 100% kick ass. Great job guys!
I really love that J.D. is being taught how to manage a situation. When you don't have everything at your disposal and you can still accomplish your goals. Way to go good Father on teaching him how to be a versatile adult when he's older. A recipe for future success! Anyway, thanks for the video 📸.
Ahh yes, steaming pile of LTDs. Jess ain’t scared of nothing, she got right in there and pulled out that carcass like it was nothing. The vacuum plugs were great as well. And where did you get that flame thrower? That thing is badass!
That 2 door actually looks kinda nice...might be worth doing a 460 swap if ut was cheap enough. A build like the car Burt Reynolds drove in the movie White Lightning, a brown '71 4 door Custom 500 with a 429/460 or 351C and a 4 speed manual would be kinda cool.
Dalton, this just made my Friday night man! I wish you had the ability to upload more often but I know it’s a pain. I’m in IT so if you need any help or anything please dont hesitate to reach out amigo!
The best I needed a good laugh today my dad and I were close like you guys and he passed back in June I just feeling so down today without him but you guys helped me out today thank you I had so many laughs watching this one 😊😊😊😊
I had a 1969 4 door plymouth fury 3 back a few years ago and traded it for a nice pickumup truck. Now I wish I would have kept it to do something like this with it! Awesome content man. This is the stuff your son is going to remember for the rest of his life! Hanging out with dad and working on cool projects! Thank you for bringing us along for the ride!
What an awesome family. Jess is an absolute keeper and JD is wise beyond his years. Dalton, you've won. Also, I just have to say that "I have something to say" moment had me belly laughing for a solid few minutes. And the Uncle Buck shocks LMFAO
You kept us in suspense! Will the poor old engine grenade? Hmmm,, My mother had a 75 Ford Galazy with a 400 C.I. engine in it. My favorite memory's of it was when I would borrow it as a 17-18 year old and run it hard and fast on back country roads. What a fun huge car that was, listening to the engine howl and the four barrel carburetor as the kickdown shifted. But the beer and grocery runs were always fun. A boat with a detuned smog engine . Choked to death almost by federal mandates and regulations. Then the 80's were the worst time of all almost for American made auto''s!! Tiny uncomfortable and slow cars. Always love your shows!!!!!
My dad and I plus a few guys from our crew made an attempt at enduro glory with a mid 70s 2 door LTD. Only because the Ford guy in our group won the card draw and it was the cheapest Ford we could find. The race legal cage and International Harvester red paint complete with hand done pinstripes which loosely matched our trucking company colors cost more than the car. In order to strike fear in our competitors hearts, we painted 460 C.I. on each side of the carb fire hole in the hood. However no one was scared of the smog equipped 351 Cleveland. The best it did in 3 races was 2nd in its heat…of 2 cars. It finished 12th in another which won us just enough to buy beer. Thanks for the fond memories Dalton!
Hey Pole Barn, lovin the new apprentice! She and J.D. can KEEP the shop afloat! Can't lose the shop with their hard work and determination backing you. Her help will work wonders and ease the workload for everyone. She's definitely a keeper for sure 😃. Thanks for the video 📸.
Reminds me of the 87 Grand Marquis I had almost 20 years ago. Baby blue with a black top. I put a cheap hood scoop on it and raised white letter tires. Just floats down the road. Man I loved that car!
I had a 1978 Mercury Grand Marquis years ago, and, I was doing around 70 mph down the interstate, and, my rear shocks came off, somehow the top bolt came out of one, and, the bottom bolt came out of the other one. That was a wild wild ride!!!! One I don’t particularly care to EVER repeat!!!
Do you remember when Jr had to jump out and pick up parts of Buford's car in Smokey and the Bandit? You throwing the bumper in the trunk so reminded me of that. I was rolling!!😂😂
I have watched every single video you have released , and the only time I have winced in pain was watching you remove that trim. I own Datsuns and the belt molding is impossible to find. Idk if that trim is the same for a LTD , but it was still painful. Said with bless your heart.
Watching the back of that Ford bounce like that instantly makes me think of “Uncle Buck”… if you could make it do the dieseling and then the massive bang it’d be awesome…. Also i think a few of the horses may have escaped from that 460 while it was parked in that field
The JAAAG tank is the reason that OLD HEAP started Dalton, and What's even funnier is the MESS you made at the Jet wash FFS thats some funny shit buddy always A laugh and entertaining All three of you are Brilliant xx
Painted on the rear fenders of the PBGPD LTD; "To Swerve and Eject" (The Bumper 🤣) Success? Yup, you didn't die, didn't have to walk home. and the car didn't burn to the ground. That's a Win in my book! 😆
17:13 when the car stopped and kept bouncing it reminded me of uncle bucks mercury! Remember that movie? Cars not too far off either! Think he had the mercury version of this!
You always seem to have the best possible time with J.D. and Jess while creating great content, whether it's serious car stuff or creating a cast of LTD'S for a movie.
Family and real friends don’t care what your house looks like. We all have “a mess” in our lives we all need to be thankful for all the mess in our lives. Happy Thanksgiving to the Flannel family and friends. God bless you Brian!
Quite the hilarious adventure, this one...the car continuing to nod for at least 15 seconds after you got out of it, and you and "Deputy JD" bombing around w/ moustaches and shades! The county may need to up its fleet maintenance budget a skosh (about five bucks should cover it)... Car wash owner: "How in hell did all these vinyl fragments get in our drain system?!" Plumber: "Oh, Dalton bought another God-damned LTD..." Keep up the great work; you three make a great team!
Dalton, this is an absolute classic! Good job sir! Good job! You're probably the best dad ever! Now that cruiser well, it needs some maintenance to many hours on patrol!
Get you some merch here!
polebarnmerch.com
I know you had to tow it home but hey at least you made the brake line Happy
I Love what you did to the car awesome BUT man I hope you NEVER lose brakes and get hurt or hurt someone else like a little kid. Awesome video 😊
Pretty sure that was a 51/50 in progress!
I like that you still work in your shop. I find, I can't relate to RUclips influencers after they move to youtube paid for shops.
Great video and awesome channel
Jess is definitely a keeper, not afraid to get her hands dirty!! Perfect match for the guy who buys the raunchiest cars left on earth!
I agree, she seems to be a pretty cool gal.👍
She sed woodroch lol
@allanthomas7345stfu. Sounds like your insecurities being pushed in a stranger. Pull your head out of the Ass
Yeah shes willing to clean out old stinky rat infested cars with ya, definitely a keeper. 😅
I agree, she's willing to dog through the nasty cars with ya, and she listens and laughs at your jokes 😂, all honesty she seems awesome

I need to buy that blue car. Damn in los good.😅😅😅😅❤
The two door hardtop I’ll be by that one😅😅😅😅😅

JD is god damn hilarious, had me laughing my ass off at " I have something to say...my moustache fell off" 😂
I still say someone should buy JD a fire extinguisher holster for Christmas!
the amount of effort this man puts into his videos is truly amazing it inspirers me to start to do things similar
Just about anyone can be an idiot on camera 😂
@@PoleBarnGarageyeah but you are a head one Dalton. You are our king car idiot and we love you for it.
JD is going to have stories for years to tell his kids someday, "...and your crazy grandfather and I decided to dress up like 70s era TV cops and speed around the neighborhood in our 70s era TV cop car..."
Those memories are Priceless! 🤣
The rear end bouncing non stop had me laughing. Then of course the fire. And the stuck throttle. Fantastic fun video. Can't wait to see what's next.
Is there anything better than steaming piles of LTD's while eating dinner, I think not!

Your father and son relationship is something I wish I had when I was growing up.

Screw the Zippo, we have a Flamethrower 🏆 😊

This has to be the best RUclips channel. I was dying at the little hazardous fire and the fully automatic brakes lol

And that black leather jacket is cool as all hell!
Since the headlights are missing anyway maybe you could put some lights in there with a turn signal flasher for pursuit mode
Nice to see Mrs. Pole Barn Garage on camera, doing an excellent painting job!

Just love it. Moustaches, spontaneous fire, plenty of giggles. I wonder what JD tells his school buddies on Mondays?

I have long thought this to be the best channel on RUclips. Jess is a great addition and good to see JD in on the shenanigans. Keep it up guys!
