Season 6 INITIAL THOUGHTS & REVIEW - The Mystery of Aaravos
Hello! My dear fellow human!
It's been a little bit over a week since the release of season 6 of the Dragon Prince and I am finally here to share my initial thoughts!
I SWEAR that I try to keep my videos short but the stars just don't align for me. Maybe I'm just a little bit long winded.
Either way, this is all I had to say immediately after watching the season ONCE, please keep that in mind, I have not gone through my second watch as of writing this.
To make a long story short I actually loved a lot of this season but I also found myself being frustrated in some areas and utterly disappointed in others. I'm hoping my second watch through will be kind to me.
Either way, I hope you enjoy ...

Hello fellow human! Are you ready for the book of Stars!? I'm not... but also YES I AM! Today, we're overseeing Aaravos crying at the stars as we chat about the red rune necklace that Claudia found and stole from the Arcus Vault. Callum: a Pawn Easily Controlled - The Dragon Prince Analysis

Hello my dear fellow human! We are back in Katolis’s Library to chat about some themes in the Dragon Prince. Callum’s arc is heavily intertwined with power, control, and freedom. Today we’re only chatting about power and control since it has been foreshadowed that he will be puppeted by Aaravos. While it is a theory, it simply makes sense thematically. The event of him becoming a puppet will se...

    And I wish Netflix would give the crew more breathing room to do 12 or more episodes per season That way,they don't have to cram all of it in or put important stuff in side stories a lot people are going to ignore

    You're not alone in how you feel about Rayla. She should have apologized for ditching Callum and doubling down on her bad decisions More importantly, I think the Rayla/Rayllum fans need to simmer down,just a little bit. They're allowed to like Rayla/Rayllum,just as we're allowed to feel what we feel. What went right and what went wrong

    Maybe I'm alone in this but I think Viren shouldn't have burned the letter. Sure, one letter doesn't "Thanos snap" away what he did but I don't think it would have destroyed Soren. I think it would hurt Soren if he was a little kid. Soren's not a little kid anymore and I think it would hurt for a bit but he would pick himself back up again because that letter would show how much Viren had changed. Not discounting Viren's sacrifice in the 8th episode. I'm just saying that it could have helped a lot Bottom line, I think Soren should have had the freedom to choose for himself on whether or not he should read the letter

    There was a scene in a previous season where Callum has to hop off his mount and onto Rayla's because a dark beast had caught it. In the background you can hear Callum's mount scream in pain as it is eaten alive. Meanwhile, Callum is making a haha funny joke. This complete disconnect in what the mood and consequence should be is what I've felt with the Dragon Prince since season 3. Honestly, I just fast forward to the Viren, Claudia, and Aaravos parts now as they are the only characters that seem to suffer consequences from their actions now. How many times has Zubeia been revived? "Oh, getting scratched from this beast that guarantees death." Zubeia gets scratch but is saved by a magical mushroom man. I really hate fake out deaths and Dragon Prince clings to them like bees to honey. Janai "I do not trust my own Counselman, have made them afraid of me, and have ordered my soldiers to ride out to battle to slaughter our brothers and sisters for their betrayal. Whelp, that's done so let's continue our happy wedding." Beliefs tend to be split even within one family. You know some sun fire elves had to kill their own love ones for their queen. In later seasons, Claudia seems to be the only one that doesn't get constant deus ex machinas. She has worked her butt off for her great accomplishments and have suffered great losses along the way. For the protagonist in the show, the perfect solutions are handed to them and no grudges held between their fellow protagonist. I'm honestly rooting for Claudia to come out on top at this point. This season was better than the previous 2 seasons and I like that ultimately most of the protagonists lost in the end. However, I can't help but to think they will not even acknowledge these losses next season. It'll be back to jokes, an eerie "ha ha funny" mood in the face of death and tragedy, and the protagonist not suffering any consequences from their failure. PS. Soren was epic this season.

    Well, I'm a bit angry from the writers they always give aaravos less than 20 minutes to appear in every season and they didn't show us everything about liola and now I'm thinking that aaravos is a cheap copy of the invoker from the show dota. Aaravos can be better but they didn't show us if you didn't understand watch dota atleast season 1 cuz I'm interested to know your take on it

  • @ryankwon8785
    @ryankwon8785 9 часов назад

    I think Aaravos’ discovery of dark magic (unnatural and chaotic) makes it now possible for him to resurrect Leola if done right. However, he likely didn’t do it because he plans to after humanity and Xadia achieve 100% equality as we are gradually seeing in the modern day. In other words, Aaravos would want to bring his daughter back once the prejudices and cosmic order problems are removed. This is similar in DOTA Dragon’s Blood in which the Invoker destroys all his enemies and ensure the good guys win first before implementing his work in resurrecting his daughter. Mystery of Aaravos shows us resurrections happening left and right so Leola coming back is not off the charts. Regarding Leola’s heritage, I think she is a creation between Aaravos and the unicorns. Creation not biologically born. Conceived through magic. The reason is that Aaravos nicknames Leola his “little unicorn” and how she is very unusual and quirky for a Startouch Elf, attributes applied mostly for unicorns. Leola likely asked the other unicorns to help her aid humanity since it is implausible for a child like her to create primal stones and teach the draconic language to humans on her own. So it is a team effort which backfired: the Startouch Elves killing Leola and the Dark Mages hunting unicorns for their horns. Regarding the Sunfire plot, Miyana joined Karim because she loves her boyfriend (love over duty). It’s that simple. The Sunfire Generals are loyal to Janai despite their disagreements. They are oath-bound to serve their monarch. However, Book 6 admit they are afraid of her. Janai was a military leader prior to being queen which suggests the Sunfire army are more loyal to her than their generals. Rayllum does have problems as Rayla did not apologize to Callum yet. I think she will in Book 7 (Dark) and that the writers are building up that important moment in the final season of Mystery of Aaravos. However, I wished they did that sooner in Book 4.

    Angeles, it's okay, you don't have to apologise for everything you just said about Ryla, girl let me tell you I did NOT know about all that baggage till now, you're freaking right, Rayla should have actually apologised for her behaviour or have held herself accountable instead of just coming back like nothing happened. You're completely valid and there's nothing wrong about you, you are seeing this on a completely rational and emotionally mature way seeing the way those actions impacted them both and the impact it may have had on both their perspectives. My guess would be that Rayla and Callum just forgot about this after all this time hence why her apology is vague but imma be real here, I think the writers just forgot or didnt think too much about it because the time was season 4 and they didnt care or have the time to reconstruct the ship tehy were just fixing by making them subtly fall back in love. With the full context on Full Moon, I completely see how this all came back in the ending of season 6...yet also how they didnt freaking address any of the problems Callum had in the comic. Have Rayla or any female character just be called compassionate and all their dirty be completely forgotten to show good character representation doesnt excuse how K'ppar is still in a freaking coin or how she never came back to her home village or held herself accountable for everything she said to Callum- which is an issue in media in general cuz "oh female characters need to show girlpower, break patterns, be a warrior, they can do no wrong" which has only shown to be freaking catastrophic lol. I believe Rayla in the original seasons actually spoke for herself more as a character derived from her own culture and the difference between Xadia and The Human Realms' cultures besides the complicated relationships of the cast with itself...heck even Ezran lost his significance in personal growth as none of the things about his past or his dad or how he freaking took over the throne and got his dad killed and all the baggage with trying to kill Zim, Aaravos etc was brought up came forth when Viren cam back in the picture,(which now that Runaan is back in the picture and Katholis fell, hopefully we can actually see him mature and actually grow from this). But again the Kingdom's fall hopefully gets explored but Karim's whole convo with him was wasted to hinge on the same point of "love above war" without adding any further complexity he litterally could have, having seen other foolish young kings go for war or his experience with Callum as brothers or idk like litterally anything else like bringing up Soren and Claudia...anything like the rebellion in his own kingdom!! I loved everything they did this season but I agree that the sunfire elves' arc was wasted or felt very weir when it came to a close and while I loooved how Rayla got justice and actual focus this season, I can't ignore the problems you brought up now. Ultimately again, I think tehy didnt include all that cuz of time constrains not being able to fit them together with the celestial elves stuff when they could have was season 4 good or anything else. But Angeles Lunamoth, believe me, literature has not failed you, your brain is wired correctly and you know well damn how relationships should work even without knowing much about love, I can tell you that much. So you can be at peace, it's not literature that failed you, it's The Dragon Prince writers' elevating Rayla while forgetting the point of what actually happened when her and Callum broke up came forth when Viren cam back in the picture,

      I appreciate all your words ♥️♥️♥️ I really like that you bring up Ezran here because I also think he has been cast aside and I absolutely agree that the negotiation scene could have been better. I am hoping that they will give him time to shine next season. This season, I feel like there were a few shots of him where we got to see that Ezran was kind of unsure of himself (like when Opeli asked why they brought the prison, when Rayla and Callum left Katolis, and even when he’s asking to negotiate with Karim). Ezran is clearly really holding onto Harrow’s last words but I think he’s starting to question if choosing love over strength is always the best way to go. It also makes me kinda sad that Callum is so focused on Rayla that he cannot see the internal turmoil that Ezran seemed to be having this whole season. With the burning of Katolis, I really, really, really REALLY hope Ezran will get to have some time to shine because his beliefs are being brought into question and he is really vulnerable with the attack on his kingdom. I’m really looking forward to it. OH! And Runnan’s return is in fact bound to be interesting for the entire Dragang!! But anyway, I really appreciate you validating my feels on how Rayllum was handled 🌙 From my screen to yours, I’m sending you a moon beam of gratitude ♥️ lol

    Overall, I am so happy with how Viren was handled this season. This honestly felt like his season to me. If you read the artbook, you know that he’s had the most careful characterization since the show’s early development, and this feels like this was the ending that was always intended for him. I loved how the show presented the nuances of showing how he is capable of genuine change without absolving him of his crimes or pressuring characters like Soren into forgiving him. And finally getting to see that flashback of what he did to save Soren, how it drove Lissa away, and how this was what caused him to resent his son. I have been waiting to see this since first reading about it in the novel, and it did not disappoint. And honestly we don’t give enough credit to the vocal performances of this show. Jason Simpson’s performance this whole season, but especially in Moment of Truth, was spectacular.

    23:18 I actually have a theory that Leola doesn’t have a mom. Since Star Touched elves are confirmed to be immortal beings from the heavens, whose physical bodies only manifest when their stars align, it makes sense that they normally don’t have children. But maybe Aaravo, after spending years watching mortals fall in love and have families, grew a desire to experience that kind of familial love to better empathize with them. So he found a way to create a child with his pure love. So while Sir Sparklepuff could be seen as a being made from both Viren’s ambition and Aaravos’ desire for vengence, which is why he seems unsettling to others, Leola was born out of a pure wish of love from Aaravos, which is why he sees her as a being of pure compassion and love. It also makes Aaravos losing her even sadder when you realize she was his wish.

    22:17 I also realized Lissa’s hair style is the exact one Claudia wore on her date with Callum in season 2. And when Soren brought it up, she got defensive and said it was cute. If that’s her either consciously or subconsciously remembers her mother wearing her hair like that and thinking it was beautiful, I’m gonna cry all over again.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth 18 часов назад

      WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME CRY!? Lol! I didn’t remember that at all! But UGHHH how I LOVE this! What I did think of was that Claudia cutting her hair was painful (not only because she’s mentally and emotionally unstable) but also because it may have actually been her connection to her mother. Lissa’s bun is really bulky so I assume that she must’ve had really long hair. So Claudia being unable to take care of her hair and choosing to cut it off was very symbolic for her relationship with her mother too. I don’t know I was sobbing during that part even though Lissa had not even popped up yet.

  • @LauraM96829
    @LauraM96829 20 часов назад

    4:37 I think Viren burning the letter was actually beautiful. The way I read it is that Viren realized his desire to confess to Soren was coming from an ultimately selfish desire to relieve himself of his own guilt rather than actually give Soren true closure. It’s very likely Viren realized that giving Soren the letter would only cause him more pain. Soren knowing the only reason he’s alive today is because Viren did such horrible things to Kpp’ar and Lissa would only reopen the wounds that need to heal. And I think everything Soren actually needed to hear was already told to him. “What happened was never your fault. You did not deserve the pain I caused you. And even if you don’t believe me now, I want to tell you anyway so you might know that one day”. And the look Soren gave after Viren sacrificed himself I think is him realizing that Viren had truly changed. And while he still doesn’t forgive Viren, it at least means he knows Viren wasn’t lying when he apologized. To sum up, Viren burning the letter, in my eyes, is him finally putting Soren’s emotions and needs above his own desires.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth 18 часов назад

      And I totally I see it 100% I guess I also wanted Soren and even Claudia (although who knows if she would have ever gotten a chance to see the letter) to know what happened with their mom. The ages are a bit hard to pin down, but they were children and while I do think Soren could put two and two together, there is a certain amount of closure that comes with truly knowing (Rayla might agree lol!) Anyway, the art style of Lissa’s flashbacks makes me think that we may not actually see her again but I have it in my head that maybe… Because Lissa didn’t like that Viren became a ‘monster’ to perform the healing spell, maybe during one of their arguments he told her that she must not love their children as much as he does and that’s why she allowed them to stay with Viren. That’s just my head cannon right now but the point is that the confession, as painful as it may be for Soren, it could also humanize his mother and understand why she truly left. Because Soren does carry the weight of Viren’s blame and resentment from Lissa leaving but she left because of Viren. And even if Soren already knows that, I do like the idea of him confessing it. Because when he burnt it, it made me feel like Viren did say the important things, but also… maybe he didn’t want him to know the specifics and how bad it may have actually been for Lissa. But then I also see the argument that, that’s just not a burden Soren needs to deal with…. I don’t know the right answer. But I love this storyline.

    • @LauraM96829
      @LauraM96829 17 часов назад

      @@AngelesLunamoth I definitely see the argument that knowing why their mother left would give Soren and Claudia closure. Claudia especially was broken up bot only that Lissa left, but never came back or even tried to stay in contact. Without knowing the full details, it’s easy to see how she took that as Lissa abandoning them. Which in turn, is why she clings so tightly onto Viren and takes Soren leaving to him also turning his back on family. And Soren was also made to feel like Lissa leaving was his fault. Maybe what Viren should’ve done was write another letter where he omits some of the details. Have the letter say that he drove Lissa away with his own actions, but don’t actually say what those actions are or why he did them. Make the focus of the letter less of a confession and more of an apology if that makes sense. And also say that Lissa loved them didn’t want to leave either him or his sister, and maybe encourage Soren to possibly reach out to her so he can have at least one parent back in his life. Especially if Lissa’s main reason for never coming back was out of guilt due to Viren accusing her of not loving her kids enough as you said. Having Soren reach out to her could give her closure and healing too.

    Season six comes out tomorrow! I’m so excited! And don’t feel too bad about the show ending. The team has said they have more ideas for future stories (including Aaraon recently saying in an interview that he’d love to do a novel or even a movie set during the time skip, showing how Claudia and Terry met and possibly them crossing paths with Rayla during her hunt for Viren!) But a lot of that depends on how well these final two seasons perform on Netflix, so I’m gonna be sure to rewatch season six as much as I can to improve our odds!

    If the amulet actually does have something to do with Laurelion, maybe Claudia taking it is foreshadowing that Laurelion will possess Claudia like how Aaravos possessed Callum and Viren. Or, what if Claudia is revealed to be a reincarnation of Laurelion? It would explain was she was drawn to it apart of her matching earrings. It was familiar to her, like how in the avatar universe, air nomads used toys that belong to past avatars to determine new avatars (or when Callum saw Nyx’s boomerang!)

    If you are right and that amulet not only belung to the killer of Laurelion, one of the first star touch elves to come to Xadia, but also maybe played a apart in his death, it would stem to reason or at least be very themathically ironic does Claudia end up using it trying to either serve Aaravos or attempt to kill him by taking the nova nlade from Callum does she get the chance to after he and Rayla rethrieve it. Coming back to reuniting parts of previous history to the present, I think having this relic used once to kill a star touch elf now being in the hands of someone who so desperately serves them is ironic for the story behjnd it. Also I remember how you mentioned in a previous video how the pillars of the Star Nexus dont line up with the number of Star touch elves present in the stars, and while it is possible that it's because it was made after the fall of Aaravos from them to Xadia, I think another plausible tho unlikely prospect could be that the Nexus is far more anci3nt than we realize, possibly predating even the skywing elves that now protect it and guard it and the 8 stars plus the fallen one could be a reflection of Laurelion and his fall as he is the only other star touch elf we know of so far to have fallen from the heavens and been killed (im seeing possible parallels and tragic irony of Aaravos here btw...ngl it would be so fitting and thematically accurate does he undergo the same fate and is killed after falling from the heavens by humans who betray him)

    Great video! Cutting it very close to season 6 lol. I've watched The Dragon Prince since the beginning, and as someone who has stuck through with it, the end will be so sad. But I'm also just glad that it happened. This is my favorite fantasy show ever. If the earrings were an heirloom, perhaps Viren took them from the Storm Spire potentially as a gift to Claudia? That's unlikely, but it is possible. If it's from Laurelion, perhaps Claudia uses it like a Moon Opal to channel Star magic. It would be an interesting way to give her more power and threat. That being said, that's also very unlikely because it is likely connected to the Sun primal. If a Sunfire Elf did end up killing Laurelion, it was probably a very early one. Not necessarily even a royal, depending on how long ago Laurelion fell. Since we're so close to Season 6 and I can't watch it on release, I'll have to check out from TDP socials. If you are able to watch it on time, enjoy the season!

    Dear fellow human, Guess who managed to upload one last video just in time for the release of Season 6!? Honestly, I have so many thoughts on other things but a girl had to pick her battles so I went for something short and sweet. The theory I’m more invested in right now is how I think Soren could be the one to end Viren but that’s more of a character analysis and that is not the short and sweet kind of video lol. But I think people are interested in this necklace so I compiled all I could gather on it and threw some theories together. I’m gonna be honest, neither of them has a lot to stand on but I like both ideas enough to expose them to the wicked depths. I seriously think the changes of Rayla with all these negative behaviors and dishonesty, yes it serves as plot devices, but also it’s a DEI decision that they want the Rayllum dynamics to be Rayla being this horrible person, but Callum can only being a pushover. No, unconditional trust/love =/= being a pushover. DEI has the most toxic relationship culture!

    I have a theory about those skywing elves at 9:28, but WARNING: if I'm right, this is going to be a huge spoiler. Don't you think they resemble Callum and Rayla? I'm guessing this is them, from the future. Callum has mastered Star magic, and he transports the two of them to the past, Rayla uses her Mystica Arbora/Canis/etc magic to make them look like skywing elves.

YES THANK YOU AAAAA- I love you and your videos and your work. Best Dragon Prince Fan EVER. plu I like the implication that the staff taht Aaravos gifted the original dark mage from the prologue came from the starscraper. It would only make sense for him to have direct access to a place where they used to worship the stars and know of the star arcanum. Furthermore, each staff was colored with a different color resembling the various primal sources, implying that Aaravos took one and corrupted it with dark magic or taht there was already a staff containing dark magic as one of the pillars

    This was so in depth! Probably the most in depth season 6 video I've seen so far but I do have a theory for that Callum scene. I think it's a challenge from Cosmo and Astrid. Kinda reminds me of a scene in voltron where Coran has them fly high up then turn down and blocks the paladins sight so they can see through the eyes of their lions before they hit the ground. This scene is set up in nearly the exact same way. I think it is their challenge to see if he is worthy of the star primal to fly as high as he can until he cannot catch his breath, drop his wings, and make them reappear before he hits the ground by seeing through the stars above (why he has the blindfold) I also think this is going to make him really think about his life and what would happen of he fails (a parallel to if he fails to keep aaravos from posessing him) and will push into that later rayllum scene when he feels like he doesn't want to waste any time he could have left and the chance to really be with her again the way they were in season 3. Side note their season 3 banter is absolutely adorable and I really hope we at least get a little of it in this season.

      I like the idea that it’s a test since Astrid and Kosmo are smiling mischievously in that scene where the dome is opening. I originally thought it could be because they were showing off how amazing the star nexus is but it also makes sense that they’re looking forward to seeing how Callum will take on their challenge. Also because the person that oversees the literature on the startouch elves in Evenere seems to turn most people away but we have the Epic of the Void, so someone clearly managed to get access to that literature. But the point is that it makes sense that they probably also had to pass some test to get access.

    Another great video! I am so excited for this season (though saddened I can't watch it on release, I'll have to wait until about August 4th). I like that the trailer was short and didn't reveal too much about what is happening this season. I personally, think most of Viren in this season will be seen in terms of flashbacks. I can't imagine he'll live for much longer, and I think his permanent death would progress Claudia's story a lot further. Since Primal magic is also deeply connected to emotional understanding, Callum connecting to the Star arcanum will likely be him understanding his place in the world and his boundaries, especially with Dark Magic. I am SO excited for Aanya to return, I think the dichotomy and difference in ruling between her and Ezran will be super interesting. I also desperately hope for some more Aaravos backstory and more of his motivations and plan. I am SO excited for the Sunfire elf storyline, it's been one of my favourites of the show and it draws back to many historical scenarios. As someone of Indian descent, I can see some alignments here. I think Amaya will survive, but I don't think she'll come out of it unscathed. I am desperately hoping for Runaan and Ethari to get some light here. They were the first gay (as in MLM) couple I ever saw on screen, and as a bisexual guy representation MATTERS, truly. Anyway, sorry for the super long comment. I just wanted to say I really appreciate your videos and the work you put into them. Speaking up about many issues along the way is of great import as well. I also think these lyrics to the song in the trailer are hinting at Aaravos’ ultimate plan. “We are the sinners, The new stars standing defiant” If we combine this with the title of one of the episodes being, “We all Fall Down”, as well as Aaravos saying in Patience how he wants to shatter everything the stars have built, I think Aaravos plans to bring the other stars crashing down and establish a new heavenly order in which he is the center. It would tie into the Lucifer Morningstar influences that the writers have said went into his character. Maybe he’s been collecting the souls of all of his victims and pawns so he can turn them into stars to replace the old ones. So people he’s made a pact with like Ziard, or peoples he’s killed like Queen Aditi, could currently have their souls residing in a sort of limbo, waiting for Aaravos to turn them into perfect immortal beings once his full power is restored. It also ties into what Aaravos said to Viren in season 3, where he said that by absorbing Zym and Zubeia’s magic, he would “transcend the limitations of his mortal form”. And it connects to the text in the post for the first poster featuring Claudia crying. “Do the stars weep too?” I think Aaravos is going to offer to turn Claudia into a star, saying that it will free her of all the pain and grief she’s felt her while life, starting when her mother left.

    3:53 Actually, dreams being connected to the star primal does relate to a cool detail the writers said in regards to Viren seeing his younger self in his dream. According to them, that wasn’t a memory of Viren’s younger self he was speaking too. Apparently, both his first and second dark magic dreams were actually happening at the same time. The current Viren had managed to connect to his old self across time. This also connects to a theory I’ve had that Viren would end up connecting to the Star arcanum after his brush with death helped him gain newfound wisdom and understanding. Kind of like how Callum’s dream helped him unlock the sky arcanum. This would put Viren in an interesting position, as he’s currently at a point where he doesn’t want anything to do with any magic of any kind. So while Arc 1 Viren would jump at the idea of being able to freely use arguably the most powerful and elusive type of magic, he now sees this as a terrible burden he has to carry. But also one he can hopefully use to right the wrongs he’s caused the world. He was the one who stole the mirror and allowed Aaravos to reconnect with the outside world again after all these centuries. So it should be him who ultimately puts an end to Aaravos in order to save Claudia from becoming his next pawn.

    • @LauraM96829
      @LauraM96829 13 дней назад

      @@AngelesLunamoth And hopefully he tries his best for Soren too! We’ve seen Viren express his pride and love for Claudia since the first arc. We know how much Viren regrets leading his daughter down the path of darkness. But poor Soren hasn’t felt any love from his father in years. In season three, he tells Aaravos is not an asset, while saying that Soren almost dying didn’t matter more than getting back the egg. We never see Viren’s reaction to Soren leaving them to help team Zym in season 3, whether he’s disappointed or even a little hurt or betrayed. And even in season 4, when he talks about just spending what little time he has left with his daughter, he doesn’t mention making an attempt to reach out to or apologize to Soren. And in Strangers, while he helps Soren through his panic attack, likely being able to empathize after struggling with his own earlier in the season, the two of them are very quick to reject the other again. So what we need to see is Viren making an effort for Soren. To show that his love for his son is still alive, and he is willing to sacrifice himself to save Soren the same way he is for Claudia. It’s very likely that Soren wants nothing to do for him for the rest of his life, and rightfully so. So while I don’t think Soren could or should forgive Viren, I think having Viren apologize to Soren could give him a some closure.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth 13 дней назад

      Justice for SOREN! Now that you’re bringing up that conversation from Season 3, it’s got me thinking. Maybe it’s my own wishful thinking but if Viren can bring himself to tell Soren that he is proud of him, I will shed tears - I will cry. I will SOB! Tell him that he takes after his mother (in a good way). Kind of like how when he tells Claudia that King Harrow is a principled man and Claudia responds that he’s just stubborn, to which Viren agrees. He clearly meant it in a way to insult him. I’d like for him to say something similar to Soren but to see the goodness in that this time. Also I’d like literally any crumbs on Lissa. A mere mention of her name would suffice at this point. Their journey really began with her absence (well, after the healing and whatnot) I think that could also help Soren with some closure and maybe re-inspire him to search for Claudia since Lissa did ask that they take care of each other.

    • @LauraM96829
      @LauraM96829 13 дней назад

      @@AngelesLunamoth Yes! Viren mentioning how Soren is more like his mother would have me balling like a baby! Remember how when Soren and Claudia were told they had to choose which parent they would live with, Claudia found the choice to be impossible while Soren immediately chose Viren? Imagine if Soren has secretly resented his mother all of these years for leaving. Especially since the thing that triggered the arguments and the eventual divorce was whatever Viren did to save Soren. As a young child, Soren might not have been able to understand the nuance of the situation, and just assumed that his mother wished Viren had just let him die. Maybe he even overheard an argument between them, and something Lissa said was taken out of context to sound like she thought that the family would’ve been better off if Soren was dead. But after Viren is finally willing to talk about Lissa with Soren, something he’s refused to do with anyone for years due to his “get a grip” philosophy, Soren is able to get the full picture. He remembers how in season three he realized what Viren was doing was wrong and couldn’t be a part of it. And now he realizes that his mother was in a similar position, and couldn’t watch the man she loved poison himself. It doesn’t excuse her for never making an attempt to contact her children for all these years, but it does make Soren more open to maybe one day reaching out to Lissa and making an effort to forgive and reconnect with her.
