Callum will Lose and Arm - The Dragon Prince Theory: The Mystery of Aaravos

- Join me in Katolis’ library as we talk about one of my theories for the Mystery of Aaravos. There has been so much foreshadowing about someone losing an arm and my bets are on Callum. I go over a few candidates which include Rayla, Runaan, and Ezran but they're not as likely in my opinion.
Here are a few things that I didn't mention in the video that I wanted to include:
1. Callum referenced his zap hand in season 5 with his alter ego Glint Zaphand.
2. Also, it didn't occur to me until I finished editing but the fact that the orphan queen was the one who saw through Aaravos’ scheme and Rex Igneous calls Callum a “clever human” feels like a connecting thread to between the two of them.
I’m not sure when he will get it chopped off other than at some point before the series ends, so it could be season 6 or season 7. I also don’t know the exact details considering the fact that both the sunforge and the sun staff are currently corrupted. But the Tales of Xadia only says that the sun primal can cleanse dark magic corruption and not that the sunforge is a necessary component so it seems quite possible to me still.
Let me know what you think of this theory! Do you think Callum will lose his hand?! If not, who is your top candidate?

The Star Scraper is beyond the Frozen Sea, not in the Black Tundra.
A HUGE oversight! Very sad that one of my receipts for this theory is invalid but it is what it is. Thank you for catching that!

But the Frozen Sea is still located in the north. And if you look at it from the human kingdoms, it's in the north-east.
So, it could be right, because before season 3, they were only in the human kingdoms and when the cube leaves marks that point in the north-east there, the marks point to the Frozen Sea.

@@ninjagomasteryt Lol the idea does admittedly make me feel better. That end credit sketch is from Episode 7: the Dragang just crossed a land of water and unboarded the Ruthless but have not yet reached the Moonstone path so it is possible.
Something that would be interesting is seeing Soren loses a hand, he has been healed by dark magic two times, the second time wishing he wasn’t, if he was to be injured by losing an arm, he would be almost happy, it would finally be an injury not healed by dark magic.
I’m having flashbacks to Amphibia, everyone speculating that the main character’s gonna lose a hand. If we go by that show’s logic, it’s gonna be Viren losing a hand to save Soren or Claudia.
Viren did not occur to me in the slightest but there was a lot of imagery of him reaching a hand out to Claudia during his dream sequence so... I think you're right, Viren is a candidate worthy of being on this list.
@@AngelesLunamoth Soren too, since two times in his life, dark magic has been used to heal him without his consent. Especially in the case of Claudia, where she refused to believe he could ever be happy if he stayed paralyzed, and insisted that she knew what was best for him more than he did. Imagine him losing a limb, and refusing to be healed, showing her and everyone that he is more than just his muscles.
I do generally think the third time's the charm! But this has even more substance than Viren because (I think Viren has to die by the end) but I agree that Soren losing something essential to his character does does make a strong statement to both Viren and Claudia. Also, he would be a great poet or jester!
@@AngelesLunamoth Or he could trademark his iconic bread sandwich (and maybe reconnect with his mom in the epilogue)!
Interesting, but last time we saw viren, he only had a few hours left to live, at most. Why kick a man while he's down?
I absolutely adore this theory! I do agree, Callum is the best fit, losing a hand may represent him losing his connection to dark magic. I saw another video from you that said he would lose the ability to protect his loved ones by renouncing dark magic. Now, he hasn't, and a very nice, literal metaphor of that would literally lose a hand. Love love it!
Magic, excitement, comedy, action, fantasy, thrills, adventures, and drama. I don't like the sound of losing a hand. To me, it sounds and looks torturing. I don't think Callum will lose his arm. Rayla almost lost her hand until little Zym saved it. I know the dragon prince would do the same for Runaan when he gets released from the cursed coin, hopefully unbinding him.
Interesting theory! I never thought about that.
He's very similar to a character named Domino that I came up with in 1999, so I want Callum to live his best life.
