  • Season 5 of the Dragon prince is coming in just a few weeks. Joke’s on me! I turned out to be a slow editor and the season was released some days early. But I couldn’t let this hiccup make me rethink this 33 minute video on King Harrow after most of it was finished so… Just pretend I released it before Season 5 came out. Please and thank you!
With that said, I know this theory goes back to Season 1 but given that Pip has not shown up yet, I’m technically not late to the party. Here is my take on the Parrow theory five years later. I hope you like it!
Feel free to jump around the video if you don’t care to listen to Viren’s backstabbing behavior in the novels using the following
    TIMESTAMPS:
    0:00 Intro
1:19 Part 1. Pip and Harrow Are a Single Character
    3:55 Part 2. Foreshadowing
12:34 Part 3. It Makes Sense for Harrow’s Arc
22:20 Part 4. The Silver Binding
26:14 Part 5. Parallels to Game of Thrones
    29:36 Part 6. Pip’s Role Moving Forward
Now that the video is out, I can finally go watch Season 5! Please forgive some of the hiccups and errors in the editing. Exporting was more of a hassle than I anticipated but it is my first video ever so I can give myself grace.
If you liked what you saw, feel free to feed me the primary fuel that ensured I finished this video: HOT BROWN MORNING POTION!

I feel like this was supposed to be a reveal in season 3, but then literally everyone guessed it after the first four episodes, and they got salty so they just dropped it after season 2.

      Yeah that seems about right
I read a fanfic that handles Harrow being Pip pretty well. It's called "Window of Opportunity"

Magic, excitement, comedy, action, fantasy, thrills, adventures, and drama. Pip was King Harrow's loyal bird in the castle of Katolis until his he was gone the night Runaan and the other Moonshadow elf assassins invaded and attacked during the assassination. Runaan killed Harrow with an arrow and the binding ribbon in his arm turned red and fell off, it means the king was dead. But the fate of Pip is unknown, probably disappeared. 🧝🧝‍♂🧝‍♀🧚‍♀🧚‍♂🧚

I love the video! My take is that Viren was genuine when he told Harrow he was like a brother to him (wasn't he about to tell Harrow he loved him as well? in the novel I mean). Viren is obsessed about being a heroic figure and in control. that's what's so interesting about him: he wants to do great and meaningful things, but at the same time his good intentions get tainted by his egoistic nature. After Harrow wounds his ego Viren loses all sympathy for him. It's more about Viren's values and the way he sees the world than he being inherently a bad person.
And like- Harrow made the final decision about hunting down the magma titan? Viren has done some fuck up shit don't get me wrong but he was only doing his job as the king's advisor at that point. I think the point of that plot is to show how desperate people make desperate decisions. Like it's purposefully morally ambiguous I think? Anyway I think your take was interesting!
All your videos are awesome and so well put together. I'll def follow for more!

This was such a great argument. I’m curious about your thoughts after watching S5

I really enjoyed your video and I agree with your theory! It seems that you put a lot of time and effort into researching and structuring it. I think even more people would watch your video if you shared it on the TDP subreddit. Also, nice editing!
