      I’m glad someone notices my EPIC references!
      And LOL! Fair! I mean that her version of love is a little bit twisted.
      Like, she loves Viren but when he leaves, she tells him he owes her his life because she saved him. And in season 4, it kind of seems like she felt that way about Soren too. That he should be grateful that Viren saved him.
      I just think its debatable whether she has the pure love that seems to be required to restore someone’s spirit.
      But it’s possible she did understand it after Aaravos’ story and I’m not giving her enough credit.

    wanning gibbous? wait. Callum and Rayla left the starscraper like a night after the new moon... it has to be waxing gibbous!

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  14 дней назад +2

      I checked a few times just to make sure but they do arrive with Lujanne during a waning gibbous. It’s not very clear when they left.
      Kosmo becomes timeblind during a new moon but they stay a few days to perform the one truth ritual. The passage of time is unclear after that.
      Viren is writing his letter during the Moment of Truth episode which is when Callum finds his one deep truth. And then the next time we see Viren during the episode We All Fall Down, he has a fully grown beard and Callum and Rayla are arriving with Lujanne so basically…
      maybe they spent quite a long time at the star scraper? Or maybe they took their time to travel to the moon nexus. OR! Maybe even though Viren’s plot line and Callum’s are edited together, maybe they’re not actually happening at the same time?
      Basically I don’t know how much time is passing during season 6. But they definitely spent at least a month at the moon nexus with Lujanne.
      …I think? Lol

  • @unaroa-nav

    Agree that the pearl decoy hiding by Callum alone felt so contrived and a definite plot device. Like your eye for detail of the moon phases. I do doubt the explanation that Aaravos knew because Callum was tainted with dark magic especially since he did the whole cleaning ritual at the starscraper and has not used dark magic since, that we know of at least. And I don't think that the ritual was a misdirect because the fact that Callum did it implies he is going to use dark magic in season 7. I like your description of understanding love and why Callum and not Claudia. Aaravos plans for contigencies alright.

  • @LauraM96829

    9:47 I love your explanation for how love relates to channeling powerful primal magic, and how Terry was the one who immediately picked up on how Aaravos is not driven by love. It does help to explain how Terry is able to channel earthblood magic so effortlessly, to the point where he doesn’t even need to cast a rune or speak draconic words when he’s controlling plants (although Mukho didn’t either when he healed Zubeia so that could just be a thing unique to earthblood magic or their equally powerful)
    This does tie into one of Aaron’s hints for season 7. In a recent interview, he mentioned how one of the episodes will be titled “True Heart”, and that this episode would be a big moment for Terry. He goes on to say how Terry is someone who has so much love in his heart, but also has a strong moral compass, and how these parts of himself are currently at war with each other as Claudia continues to help Aaravos. I think they are setting us up for a moment where either:
    1) Terry does end up convincing Claudia to leave Aaravos, proving that he will always be there for her like he promised in season 6. Or,
    2) He realizes that Claudia is going down a path that he knows is wrong, and does end up leaving her, which she will view as a betrayal. Terry still might not think Claudia is fully gone, and will seek out team Zym (specifically Soren) to hopefully save her.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  19 дней назад +2

      that interview is so juicy and jam packed with a bunch of goodness!
      I totally agree with those options but I’m really hoping that its the latter because I like the idea of Claudia’s story being a cautionary tale. Especially because Viren, while I wouldn’t say he is redeemed, he DID make a turnaround and I would like to see the exploration of what happens when you don’t. And Claudia is even different from Viren in that she started with Dark magic as a CHILD and that to me, does make all the difference. I simply think a turnaround would be harder for her.
      And as it pertains to Terri, I feel like he’s sort of a mirror to Rayla in the sense that (I feel like) she made a promise to Callum that she probably doesn’t want to keep to begin with. And Terri also put himself in a similar position, the difference is that I do think he means it with his whole heart, he would never abandon Claudia. BUT Claudia’s path is dark and he’ll simply have to face hard decisions of whether keeping his promise is really worth it or for the best.
      All in all, I’m looking forward to seeing how love will test our characters next season and the promises they made.

    LOVE THE VIDEO! Wonderful analysis my friend! THE VERY FACT THAT CLAUDIA DOES NOT UNDERSTAND LOVE AS SUCH HUGE ANALYSIS POTENTIAL! Like of course, she has her "you do anything for your family, however dangerous, however vile" motto and you can say on the basis of this she would understand love... but perhaps that is not the case because she has been following in Viren's footsteps. And it is the ultimate fallout of the dark mage, the corruption left by the magic... the void in your heart can only be filled by your one deep truth, the light of love as Callum demonstrates. Claudia has Terry's love. But he isn't her truth. she doesn't know her truth which is why she was coming back to Katolis to ask Viren what her truth is now. An answer she never got. And this works in Aaravos' favour. She won't find her truth unless she feels the need to search for it. And right now she is driven by her misunderstandings. Her motto is part of it.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  14 дней назад +3

      Absolutely! I love that you bring up the one deep truth ceremony because I feel like if she were to do the ritual, what Claudia would find is probably her family.
      So it’s almost like a contradiction because trying to look out for her family is the reason she is where she is in the first place.
      But that’s also true for Callum. Rayla is his truth but she’s also the reason he dove into dark magic in the first place.
      So I love what you’re saying about her being driven my a misunderstanding because this sentiment of doing whatever you must for family, however dangerous, however vile is a twist of true love because this sentiment is actually paired with bypassing consent.
      Like, Viren took Kpp’ar’s staff and Lissa’s tears by force. And Claudia healed Soren even though he had already come to terms with his disability. Or even by forcing Viren to continue the search for Aaravos even though he was okay with dying.
      So yeah, I would say that while she may love her family, her version of love is kind of twisted.

    • @gargigolhar2886
      @gargigolhar2886 13 дней назад

    10:16 Also, Aaron Ehasz confirmed that neither Callum or Rayla every stopped to think about how Ezran will feel about them freeing Runnan, so that’s definitely going to be a big deal next season!

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  19 дней назад +2

      DRAMA! YES!!!
      I’m really hoping Ezran will get to be a bit messy. He’s the emotional support for others but he doesn’t have that himself, I look forward to seeing how and if those repressed emotions will bubble to the surface

    • @LauraM96829
      @LauraM96829 19 дней назад +4

      @@AngelesLunamoth I also want to see Ezran get some emotional support. Especially since on top of Runnan coming back into the picture, his kingdom was also destroyed, and his efforts for establishing everlasting peace between humans and Xadia might’ve been ruined since a lot of people in Katolis just saw a dragon destroy their homes for seemingly no reason while their king was away.
      I’m imagining Callum trying to comfort Ezran, but Ezran keeps pushing him away because he is rightfully upset with Callum for not telling him about his plan to free Runnan, and sees this as somewhat of a betrayal of their father’s love.
      Maybe Soren could be the one to console Ezran. Especially after everything Soren went through last season with him finally getting closure over his relationship with his father. And while their situations are extremely different, I could see Soren using some of that insight he gained to help Ezran, telling him he’s allowed to be angry and doesn’t have to forgive or confront Runnan if he isn’t ready, but he still shouldn’t keep it all in and should talk to someone he trusts.
      Also Soren was there during the assassination of Harrow, and likely killed at least one of Runnan’s teammates. And he was also the one who locked Runnan in Viren’s dungeon. So there’s definitely going to be tension between those two. Especially since Soren might worry about Runnan deciding to kill Ezran to honor their teammates and finish their mission. We the audience know he won’t do that, but Soren doesn’t know that.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  19 дней назад +3

      Soren and Ezran felt like the characters that fit the found family dynamic the most in season 6. They’re each other’s support.
      I absolutely agree that Soren must’ve put down at least one of the team mates considering he’s a skilled fighter.
      I’m realizing there may be more drama than I anticipated. It’s bound to be a jam packed season full of feels!

    • @LauraM96829
      @LauraM96829 18 дней назад

      @@AngelesLunamoth Yes! I loved that moment between them in Moonless Night. Soren putting on a brave face, not wanting to let people know how much he is hurting inside. And Ezran senses this, but he doesn’t want to push Soren into talking about it if he doesn’t want to. But he still gives him that hug as a reminder to Soren that he is loved and valued by his found family, and that they will be there when he is ready to talk. It’s like what Ethari said, “Sometimes an act of caring is as simple as being there when it seems no one else is”. I hope Soren gets a chance to return that act of caring next season.

  • @LauraM96829
    @LauraM96829 19 дней назад +7

    1:10 Hoenstly, I can almost understand Callum insisting he’d be fine because you could make the argument that Aaravos was influencing his thinking in a way so subtle that Callum wasn’t aware he was doing it. Especially after the council meeting scene where he was staring intently at the pearl before suggesting they destroy it, as if Aaravos also thought that would also release him. But Rayla should’ve insisted harder that she do the swap, or at least have gone with him. So I do blame her a little more than Callum.

    • @AngelesLunamoth
      @AngelesLunamoth  19 дней назад +6

      Lmao! I ended up cutting a whole rant on this because I really don’t want to be known as a Rayla hater. But it’s kind of out of my hands at this point.
      But I totally agree, I really wish she would have accompanied him because while she did not get to finish her sentence, it seems like she wanted to say that if Callum was in danger, she would help and protect him - and the fact that she even suggests doing the swap herself is a sign (at least to me) that she is detecting danger in that moment. But she doesn’t actually do anything about it.
      So I’m kind of left feeling like even though she said she believed him about the danger, maybe it isn’t entirely true? (Also her ‘protecting’ him from Barius is not a good example because 1. She doesn’t even have her blades out and 2. What is Barius gonna do? To me that little skit was played for laughs)
      But this is why I can’t grasp what Rayla’s actual personality is and what is simply written for the plot. Certain things need to happen and Rayla’s character kind of suffers because of it.
      Lol! Sorry I used this comment to end up going on my obligatory Rayla Rant.
      But basically, yeah, I also think she needs to bear some of the burden of the fact that the real pearl was in Katolis because Callum confided in her first and foremost about the sleepwalking incident. And then she also had an opportunity to be by his side at a crucial moment but she wasn’t.

      @TheGamingGojiOfficial @potatoesdeterre
      That is exactly what I mean. Callum freed both Runnnan AND Aaravos.
      Star magic is related to both SPACE and TIME.
      The specifics are unclear but what I think is happening is that because the spell of Amor Stella Vitae is being cast at the same time, even though Claudia may not have that pure love that the spell needs, because Callum is also performing that spell, his love kind of spills into Claudia's spell.
      The fact that Callum is not directly in front of the pearl is not really a problem because he's performing STAR magic and that distance would be kind of insignificant. What really matters here is the time.
      I hope that made sense lol! But yeah, I think Callum supplied the love to free BOTH of them.

    0:55 Actually there is theory that after Callum told abou his decoy plan to Ezran, Ezran ordered to baker to switch pearls before going to Callun. And that`s why when Callum gone to switch pearls he actually left real one in Katolis. Proof: when Ezran sends soren to find Zubeia and Rayla with Callum to frozen sea he seems ok, but when they are gone there are sadness on his face. And also its strange why Ezran first of all was determined to hide pearl in Katolis, but then suddenly agrees with Callums idea.
    p.s. also yeah if Aaravos is the one responsible for pearl switch it actually makes sense why he tricked Sol Regem to Destroy Katolis instead of going after Callum and Rayla.

  • @thetruekingofwaffles

    I think that'd be genius, but more so, maybe that'll be what makes Claudia such a powerful dark mage. If star magic and by extension the rest of primal magic function strongest with love than Claudia fullcof hate would be a super powerful dark mage.
    I think that Aaravos, void and potentially star devouring dragons, are all connected to the void of space, and Claudia too as a dark mage hss a certain degreenof connection to it. I think the ultimate form of the dsrk srfsnum is probably ehen viren wss trumying to absorb Zym, actually absorbing the magic of other magical beings as your own.
    I assume all magic is derived from deep magic and branched off, and it definitely has connections to stsr and dark magic sense that's what brought Viren back.
    I think Claudia eillcbefime ghe ultimate dark mage, she will go beyond Viren, K'parr, Ziard and all her predecessors as she forms the ultimate bond with the arcanum. I think she'll be able to cast dark magic with runes like Aaravos does with Viren when he fights the guards.
    I think another secret to the Dark Magic arcanum is the lingering effect it has in you, we know that you can cast small spells after a while but I think the residual effect darkness has more potential.
    A real mystery is if the corrupted sun staff has any star like abilities as the sun is a star and furthermore once it's corrupted it has a partical effect similar to the star arcanum when he's describing it to Claudia before Amor Stella Vitai.
    While Callum will go on to lesrn the primal arfanums I believe Claudia will go on to become the ultimate dark mage and continue to perform huge feats, this is the season where her hair will go all white her eyes will be black and I think she'll be absorbing stuff snd casting spells like Aaravos did. I wouldnt be surprised if she began learning corrupted primals as a counter to Callum.
    Maybe every arcsnum has an inverse for stars it's tearing thins apart with hate, I wonder if sun and by extensions the others have s corrupted primal, and what Claudia could utilize the corrupted sunforge for, I assume the corrupted creatures wouldn’t attack her as a dark mage.
