I think there's a distinction between the dem and rep view of people Pelosi's "poor souls" and Obama's "bitter clingers" and Hillary's "basket of deplorables" - those views are all about how "we know what's best, we're smart, but these people are just too stupid" Romney on the other hand - the milquetoast piece of sh!t that he is - was talking about people who refuse to take personal responsibility and care for their lives ( 8:56 ) if you'd say stupid v lazy, how is it different? they both insult a large swath of the voters. maybe.. But I'd argue that the lazy people Romney was talking about are voting dem for the gov't paycheck they may get - he wasn't talking badly about the political opposition that are self sufficient. Whereas the dem position is that if you disagree with them, well that's because you're stupid.
