Follow The Builds
США
Добавлен 16 ноя 2019
Welcome to Follow The Builds. This all started when I was 16 and got my first Mustang. It was quadruple tone color and barely running. My dad said if you want to drive this then fix it. I dug into the Mustang magazines and started building my dream ride.
After over a dozen builds it has become a passion of mine to find and put these ole Mustangs back on the streets and upgraded with a few creature comforts and subtle mods.
If you are in the learning phase of restoconversion then you are in the right place. There will be plenty of amature problems to solve, as well as some “would you look at this” moments. Also, plenty of fun moments as these Mustangs hit the streets. If you wanna build it, you can. Please like and subscribe.

Can’t wait to do mine like that 😮
Great setup that has totally inspired me for my 32 3W. How long have you had it installed for?
It’s been a few months now! Working great!
Very cool 😎
JUST ONE WORD FOR THIS VIDEO ... !!!!!! { { { A W E S O M E } } } ! ! ! ! ! ! """"""" I'M 5 IQ POINTS SMARTER """"""" .... !!!!!!!!! THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO ... !!!!!!!! I'VE WATCHED THIS 5 TIMES ... !!!!!!!!!! JUST AWESOME WORK .. !!!!!
awesome video.. im all about DIY vs buying name brand parts as it's usually a fraction of the cost and i have the know how to fabricate things. i see someone beat me to an indicator light to alert that the park brakes are engaged. that would def be something i'd want. wish those actuators had a 2nd bolt support to prevent them from bouncing around. guess you could put a clamp on it.
I keep seeing these builds and I really like it but I have one question no one answer to me about it ? is it safe ? after all that cutting and re-welding is it safe as the factory original one ?
Well, im glad i already have a fastback and dont have to deal with this hassle!
2:00 for actual content.
bro is Pedro Pascal you brother or what hahahha you realy look alike haahahah .... . btw i enjoy you videos
I like the idea. And I’m even more interested after your video. The only thing that scares me is a loss of electrical power. How much time do you think you would have if the fan shut off till the ceiling hit the car? Could you switch to a generator in time. I know the chances would be slim and probably worth the risk
It deflates quickly. I say you have about 2min before it fell into the paint. I make sure my inflating blower is on a separate circuit than my airflow blowers.
I love my inflatable paint booth! It’s a game changer!
What is the color of the blue mustang? Thanks.
It’s Brittany Blue
I would be more concerned about the paint overspray residue on the walls accumulating over projects. I would not want contamination falling onto a new project. What products can be used to prevent dust accumulation within the booth without dissolving the spray booth material?
Just tape some masking that you would put over car on the walls and change them every now and then
It’s a valid concern just as you would in a prefabbed paint booth cleaning is in order and if you do it after a full paint job all the better. Nothing worse than unfolding a huge tent to find a mess inside from the party you had when you used it last.
How well does the carbon filters reduce the fumes? Thanks for the content
Actually they do pretty well. I vacuum and leave out in the sun after a full paint job. 👌
Better hope u have ZERO wind blowing on the day ur gonna shoot! Having a dedicated booth is for the fast turn over, 95% of all trash in the paint comes off the vehicle.. Great concept ..but your
I definitely want…
Beautiful day in the neighborhood!
I have a 1406 on my 289 and it runs perfectly. Except I changed springs and jets on mine, it's called tuning.
Just wondering if assembling all the new body. Then setting it to the old body would be faster or create more problems.
How much would this be to have all the parts and everything you need I'm interested in the 69' if possible
Was this filmed on a potato?
Keep going doing great please keep doing videos lessons on how to build a classic and more details and more information thank you
I had a buddy doing that SN95 back in early 2000’s when AJE came out but the electric steering is next level. Awesome job!
If only they had a better looking steering wheel in them.
Just wondering can you take a convertible to fastback?
Yes. Convertible floors have more support and are more preferred.
Man this would be perfect. My wife wants a quiet cruiser. I want a loud chop! Best of both worlds.
It really is an awesome set up. Controlling the highway drone alone is a game changer.
The instruction manuals states this required an OBD2 port - i'm assuming this was not used or needed in your installation?
That is correct. The controller works of either OBII or hard wired. They have an external gps sensor for geo fencing.
Have you done an all electric HVAC system yet?
Not yet…would love to hide under fender!
Never thought about doing this... But now i kinda want to for the challenge
Hello , can you tell where you have buy the engine? Because I need one also for my Bronco. Thank you
Cars are meant to be driven
Need to know the diameter of the whole thing.
Did you have to move the spot welded factoy cross member in the trans tunnel back 2inches?
Also if you wired this to constant power instead of switched would it drain the battery?
Contrant power would keep the module powered. The actuators wouldn't draw anything but the module would be in constant ready mode.
Would there be a way to light up the brake symbol on Dakota digitals with this so you could see It was on?
This is a great idea and coincides with what I'm working on now! Hope to show it soon.
it is the most beautiful car in the world😢😍😍😍😍😍😍
I don't know any other car as beautiful as this one😢😢😢
I don't know any other car as beautiful as the 1968 Ford Mustang😢😢😢
know the value of old mustangs they were the most beautiful cars in the world😢😢😢
I don't know any other car as beautiful as this one😢
you are the luckiest man in the world to have such a mustang😢
I always live with the dream of old mustangs, but it is not a dream that will come true😢😢😢
That was a great video mate, I only got one question will it work for right hand drive? I live in Australia and it's gets pretty hot over here haha, so I got a 1968 mustang that's RHD will this AC setup be much different than LHD?
Thanks! Old Air has a universal box that I'm using on a different car where I'm running all the lines under the fender. Use a bulk head connector for the lines to come through just before the A pillar. For the vents I'm pretty certain the far left/right dash openings are symmetric…so the vents should be compatible. Cooling is important here in Texas too. I can only imagine what its like in Australia…cant wait to visit sometime.
Did you just take it to a normal alignment shop? Just curious if they ever had any issues getting it aligned.
No issues at all. The thing drives amazingly straight and control is always right where Ive wanted it. The rough ride is something that I'm tackling now. I'm considering a 175lb 14” spring for the coik overs…i think this will give me more flex. Hope to tackle some testing next month on that. But haven't had any alignment issues.
Can you reuse the original center and side vents instead of the reproduction vent?
You can but my experience has been they are usually pitted badly. The new pieces are excellent quality.
do you know if a 2.5 or 3 inch wide perch would work
2.5 is what I used. The 3” just puts the u bolts a little further apart…i don't think that would be a problem though
Was that a 66 clutch pedal?
I don't believe so as its modified to accept a cable driven clutch. You can get the pedal from Mustang Steve
Are you going to be posting g anymore videos?
Yes! Any particular topics of interest for you?
Hello, can you sale me an engine like this? Luca
