    I'm curious how this bearing for the steering shaft turned out. it appears to be angled past it's effective range. the angle of the shaft should have been made such that the shaft is as level as possible through the firewall bearing.

    Why the SN95 spindles and not the FOX? Also, what hubs are those? part #?

    • @FollowTheBuilds
      @FollowTheBuilds  3 года назад +1

      Thank you! 🙏🙏🙏 This kit is a ton of fun to put together with these parts.
      Regarding fox or SN95 spindles...the fox has a different tie rod end shaft that curves which depending on the ride height you are looking for could cause bump steer. The fix is using SN95 spindles as it has a straight tie rod end connection. Also I like the SN95 brake options.
      But you can definitely use the fox spindles and folks on the FB group have already with great success.

    Love the videos! Very interesting watching the process. Kinda overwhelming though watching you mix and match all the different parts and pieces to do this build! Just wondering if there is and particular reason you didn't go with a full AJE kit instead of combining all the different components? I'm looking at doing some work to some of my cars and just confused by the MIX use of the SN-95 and the fox pieces.

    • @FollowTheBuilds
      @FollowTheBuilds  3 года назад +1

      Mainly for the adjustability and better made pieces but there have been many folks that have used the stock kit as is and been very happy. There are some great discussions on the kit on FB “AJE Colt 65 Classic Fords”. If your planning to keep your car stock ride height the kit as is will be just fine.

      Up to 13” arms work but the 11.5” gives a bunch of room for adjustments and tucks the wheel well.

    • @FollowTheBuilds

      I very well could have used an95 coil overs. The rack too but the SN95 racks have metric threads. All that to say...You could totally use SN95 coil overs and rack with out issues. Will have to trim the normal inch off each side.
