    you know , if you turn your gaurd on that grinder and cut with the other side of the disc .
    It will be a lot less likely to throw that grinder into your body if it grabs, it is also a lot easyer to control when you are holding back from pulling away on it than holding it from pushing back on you 😉

    I commend U sir! Y’all r duin a great job on that ol coupe! We build & restore mustangs 4 a living! Drag cars in particular! I did this same build a few years ago! Only problem I ran into is the coupe driprails on the W/S pillars are 1/8” taller than the fastback drip rails! Unfortunately figured that out tryin 2 put on the mouldings! Had 2 carefully cut off 1/8 inch of drip rail on a freshly painted car! Learn sumthin new every day! Good luck U guys & I hope that little tip helps y’all out! Test fit ur new drip mouldings b4 U paint! 👍👌

    Do people actually whine about cutting up Mustang coups? You can literally build a completely new one from parts/repro parts. Not to mention how many were made. Some people just have to complain to make them feel special I guess. Nice work.

    Hello. Did you order the complete door frame assemblies and cut them and use only part of them to minimize the work? Or did you order just part of the door frame assembly. Can't really tell, I don't think there is a mention in the video, but in the background I can see part of an unused frame. But in the video I don't see you installing the complete door frame as listed on your parts list. Just looking for clarification. Thank you!!

    • @FollowTheBuilds
      @FollowTheBuilds  Год назад

      I did order it but didn’t use it all. On this one I chose to keep the b pillars as they were in great shape but noting that I will be adding metal where the couple rear window is. This allowed me to set the door gaps easily. But on the previous I removed the door B pillars and it worked out well there too. I think it really just depends on condition of your coupe which route you go. In my opinion there is no need to cut if there’s good cond metal behind it.
      I do spend time treating the rust with Por 15 and/or weld thru primer. I didn’t film all the regrettably. Thanks for this comment!

    How did you fill the gap between the roof and quarter panels? What are your thoughts on fabricating and welding a piece of sheetmetal?

    • @FollowTheBuilds
      @FollowTheBuilds  Год назад +2

      I used Dynaglass and it worked out great. It has small strands of fiberglass and really bonds well. It’s a complex shape with quite a bit of geometry going on at that location. I suppose you could fab sheet metal but feel metal putty would have to be used at some point. Slow welds with compressed air between so to not warp or distort things.

    Question: at 14:07 time, you install the qrt/door frame assembly. Your pn 6380 on Kentucky stangs is the WHOLE asm which includes the lower structures (wheel wells, A pillar, hinge pillar, rockers, etc,)and is pricey. Can you just buy the part you installed which does not includes all the extra ? Hope that makes sense.

    • @FollowTheBuilds
      @FollowTheBuilds  Год назад +1

      You could totally do that if one is avail. Floors are different as verts have more inner rocker structure. Many have preferred that flooring to reduce flex under torque. Subframe connectors work there though. I’d say it’s not worth the extra $ on the vert unless you just find a great deal on one. It’s just a few more cuts on a coupe than a very.
