All the parts in this vid are from Old Air Products. www.oldairproducts.com/category
This was just what I was looking for! I have a TMI center console in mine so always stayed away from AC cuz I thought they were all under dash units. This is next on my wish list! Thanks for the great video!
love the video !!! and the detail of the install great job. can't wait to see the rest of the build.
Thank you. Much appreciated!
Where did you hook up the two 12+ IGN orange wires?
I have installed many aftermarket ac systems, but not by Old Air. The under dash unit looks much easier to install than the other brands.
Hey man thanks for sharing. I’m installing an oldair kit in my 1967 mustang. Can you tell me if you removed an odd black plug from the upper port of the condenser? When i removed the cap there is still a vinyl looking seal on the inside of the port. I don’t want to pull it out if it is needed but I’ve never seen that before. I was expecting the port to be hollow.
Nice video. I have same system. How many cans of freon did you use?
So did you have to cut a big hole in the firewall of your Mustang?
So is it worth doing Kilimat in an old convertable?
Great video. Was hoping to see a little more detail. Got the same system for my 67FB. Wish you showed the compressor bracket install. How did you crimp the hoses?
Thank you. I did wish I got more footage of the compressor bracket…I used a bit different design than I used in past and like it better.
For the hose crimp I also meant to share that most Napa auto parts stores will crimp them at no charge. You need to tape up and clock the connections so they know the orientation you are looking for.
Also, how you wired up everything/placement and hose connection would have made this video perfect. Thanks
@@brettg6065 thanks again for this feedback! It def was a bit frustrating when I thought I had press record and well I hadn’t ha. Hope to make a follow on this soon. Appreciate this.
So can you put the ac in every if the car didn't have a stock ac?
Yes, in fact allegedly this particular system won't work with a factory AC car
Have you installed Vintage Air systems also? I’ve wondered the difference in the 2. Vintage is only about 45 minutes from my house. My factory air never could keep up with Texas heat so I’m looking to upgrade.
I have installed a vintage air kit in the past. The old air kit is a great swap from factory air!
The under dash unit from Old Air appears to be an easier install. The unit from vintage air looks bigger and has the ducts coming out on the driver's side. It was tough to attach and route the ducts. This kit seems better. I am definitely going to recommend this kit to my next ac customer. I wish I could post pictures to show what I delt with.
Where did you get those fresh air plugs?
Hey there! The fresh air caps are from old air products. www.oldairproducts.com
Great install, but just a tip.... never, ever, ever put holes/screws in a cowl of a mustang. They're notorious for rusting there and water pooling in them. Use some panel adhesive to glue the block off plates up there.
did you have special tool to crimp the AC lines? Or can one take that to a shop to have done?
Old Air Products will crimp them for you if you are local. They sell pre-crimped but y

Whas this car a non A/C car? Thanks.
How can contact with you amigo. I have a 1974 mercury comet needing to fix a/c and Heather. Thank you.
What’s the kit name or product number ?
Didn't show control wiring
