Love the car! Can’t wait to see it complete!
Awesome work
Where’s the link for the template? I didn’t see it? Thanks!
B1 - This is an awesome restomod! Thanks for sharing the tech behind it.
Many thanks main B! Excited for you to drive it…one day soon.
Wow, that came out really nice!
Thank you!
Just started looking at electric assist brakes latley been electric assist steering for years. Wouldve liked to see the system mounted in the car in your vid but other than that very informative, great vid. Thanks for posting up.
Lookin good👍🏼🤙🏼
Thx 🤙🤙🤙
definitely curious about a harness for this. did you end up making an ebay listing for it?
Really helpful videos. In regards to bleeding the breaks, do you go about it the same way you would traditionally?
That's bad ass. It makes me want to find a cougar and make the fastback concept with a chevy gen5 engine. I already have the engine and transmission
the i-booster with the Cody-swap probably wouldn't fit but im guessing about that as i have a 60's charger and at least with my 2G iron hemi i have the same fitment problematic with the polished cast valve covers, right now im using a bendex-9 system and its a tite squeeze but fits 👌did have to move the pump under the car but the master cylinder fits like the un-boosted oem 1 does and bolted into without any firewall modification
I need one
Where can I buy the harness for this booster
Hey man nice vid. Can you say which Accord it came out of, They list 9 different trim level accords on Carparts. Also where is the ebay store you talk about? Thanks
Nice solution! May try that on my 66 GT. BTW, what wheel and tire combo did you go with on the car. It looks great. Did you mod/roll the fenders, any rubbing issues? I’ll subscribe and watch for more from your channel. Thx!
Can you please indicate here: the bosch connectors/harness here?
Can I just send you my Mustang to install an AJE K-Member. Awesome build, I have an eye on your electric brake system. Excellent work!
Awesome and yes and thank you! 🤙🤙🤙
Badass!!!
Thx 🤙🤙🤙
I have an ibooster out of 2014 tesla model s i need a wiring diagram for. any ideas...thank you.nice car i built a 1968 fast back gt 390 for a customer, and i have wanted one ever since
Superfastmatt has a video on it
how does it feel when you are braking?
Really cool! So does this iBooster help make it stop better? Like, if you didn’t have this ibooster would it stop at all?
So manual brakes (without a brake booster) work fine but with more effort by the user. Some prefer the manual brake feel. Modernizing is the effort here and the iBooster seems to be the answer for this build and future ones. Some may see it as a luxury but i see it as needed preference.
Does this still works without power?
I now have the I booster. Where can I buy the pedal linkage which you show for my 68 mustang?
You mentioned an Ebay store? I would like to buy the pins and the plug for the booster I have. I see the plug on the CHIEF Ent. website but they're not much help on the pins etc. Do you plan on offering the package on EBAY??
I’m very interested in this. I’m doing the AJE front suspension conversion on my ‘66 coupe and was possibly going to do the EPA Prius mod to the steering. Still on the to do list. I do have a couple of questions. I might have missed it, but did you have to move the master cylinder mount location to the left a couple inches or did it mount in the stock location?(I’m guessing you installed a coyote or is that an LS?) And second, if for what ever reason, if the booster lost power, does it have a fail safe mode, and go back to manual brakes? Thanks. Just started following you channel. I like the content.
Awesome. Thanks for following along!
About to do a EPA with a Nissan Versa myself.
Stock location for the booster/master cylinder. I’m interested in configuring the brake pedal with all the stock mount. I’ll need to modify a push rod to accommodate.
Yes manual brakes if the electrical should fail.
@@FollowTheBuilds appreciate the response. I’m also wondering if this will only work for an all disc brake configuration? If you have front disc and rear drums, can it still work? I’m guessing all drum is out of the question? (Haha just thinking of other projects I have)
Thanks
@POLOreme if you want to use rear drum brakes, you'll need a residual valve and an adjustable proportioning valve. Some prop valves have the drum residual valve built in.
This unit does fail back to manual brakes if the electric motor inside fails. It's designed to retract back to the default position. SuperfastMatt took it apart and shows how it works.
I'm new to the channel and love what you are doing. What engine is in the 68?
Welcome to the channel! Really appreciate it. It is a 6.2L L86 with 8 speed trans.
Do you have the link to the ebay harness?
Did you get a reply?
No
be specific, what is your ebay store, I just installed this booster in a 66 coupe. I didn't have the plugs
Is the idle changing when you hit the brakes?
Since I was going boosted trying to see if I could run electric booster to not depending on intake manifold vacuum.
Where is the link for your harness?
Any link for the pedal return spring?
Do you have an eBay store?
Awesome car man love the color what colors is it ??
Many thanks! It’s highland green.
I noticed you have the one-piece products window installed. How does it fit? how about gaps with the standard ford mustang seal? Mine has a 1/2" gap in the front and I am really struggling with the fitment. Any suggestions please let me know.
Hi there! I do love the look but I have to say it was a very real struggle to get it all lined up. I wanted to show a video of installing them but it was very frustrating footage! Lol. After several attempts I was able to manage a gap in front that seals. The trick (for me) was to elongate the hole in the front upper capture bracket . That allowed the front to adjust upper ward without affecting the rear position (too much). Please keep me in the loop on your progress…I’d love to follow along.
@@FollowTheBuilds thanks I will keep youbposted
@@FollowTheBuilds also I would be interested in the harness as well
@@cmw1478 I just received more connectors. Hope to have them “pig-tailed” this weekend. Thank you!
@@FollowTheBuilds cool. Thanks. Look forward to it
So I can tee off to run power steering ?
EPAS. So yes 👍. I’m using a Nissan Versa steering assist on this car.
Frankenstein!!!
Is it noisy?
No. I had the same concern but it’s from a Honda so the fail safe and noise is the same.
Put a Ford V-10 in something
