Now he needs to build a robot to play rimshots for him, for maximum efficiency.
Since detecting when a joke is uttered might be hard, it should probably just activate whenever it detects a sound level drop and more than ~1/2 a second of silence.

If you have a CR-V gen1 iBooster and don't want to use the remote reservoir, the direct mount reservoir from a 2014-2020 Mini Cooper fits with minor plastic trimming near the front inlet port. I remember my first car annihilated the catalytic converter and it got completely plugged up. So the exhaust gas with no where to go, went through the EGR and created positive pressure in the intake. I’m not sure which was more terrifying, my brakes going stiff, or the pedal going to the floor. Because Ford gave me both of those experiences.

I know someone with an Aston Martin V8 Vantage from the eighties and I always thought the Lucas jokes were just being funny, but when I saw her car for the first time and it would just randomly sound the alarm, sparks would come from under the dash when pressing the brakes and sparks and smoke came flying out of a corner in the trunk when that opened, I finally understood all the jokes. Beautiful car and engine though.

I work in a automotive reseatch facility and we have found that the Prius Prime and the 2019 and newer Chevy bolts use brake by wire. The boosters are set up pretty much the same. The cool thing is when the car is going to auto brake mode and you don't press the pedal the electric motor still pushes forward on the real master cylinder slow the car down. The same is also true for one pedal driving mode. As you let off the accelerator and it starts to come to the point regenerative braking is not strong enough to slow the car it will use the motor in the booster to applied mechanical brakes to bring the car to a complete stop. In the event the braking system failed they have a mechanical backup that you show in the video during tear down to still stop the car. For the company I work for we do Dyno testing and is completely automated using electrical input to the throttle pedal and now the brake pedal so we can effectively stopped the car and speed up the car from a computer by tapping into the brake by wire and drive-by-wire systems.

I worked on the pre-assembly line of the motor unit during an internship a few years ago. Managed a project to drive the cycle time form 15s to 13s
Also did some supporting research for a "fast cure" process, you can see a little drop of glue between the motor and its ECU. Thats a UV activated glue, curing very fast but noch strong enough for the automotive environment. The "main" glue is actually deeper in the groove and all the way around, attaching the motor to the ECU and sealing the connection from the elements. The main glue needed this giant oven to cure in a reasonable time, but couldnt speed up anymore. So there was this idea to use the UV glue to fix it in place, withstand the forces of the production line and allow the main glue to cure over time.
Never knew if they completed that project so super cool to see :)

I laughed so hard at the drum set bit, especially at the end. I have tears in my eyes, Matt. TEARS.

This is why I watch your videos, on point humor, a dash of history, the science explained and the info that matters.
    The drum 🥁 is 👌🏻

Love the “high concept” RUclips humor. Introducing your Mitch at the end of this video is pretty genius, but you probably already knew that.
Thanks for the info and entertainment.

This is intellectual humor at its finest! Great writeup on the Ibooster. I have been wanting to know more about it, but have put it out of mind as of late. When I saw that you had put a video out about it, I haven't clicked on anything so fast in a LONG time!!! I am already thinking of all of impractical uses for this.... 😂

I wonder if I could get away with mounting one of these on a trailer to run hydraulic brakes using the brake controller on my truck to control the booster remotely.
