    Wow, hey great job ! As you know Brakes are Very Important ! The whole printed up retainer thing was very nice the only thing I could think of was the power source, and I’m not sure what you are going to do too keep the 12 volt system charged up. I may have missed it from an earlier video. Again great job ! Keep ‘em coming 😅

      Thanks! That was pretty complicated so I'm glad it didn't explode. I'll eventually get a DC-DC converter to step the 300V Energica battery down to 12V and probably have a little motorcycle battery wired up to the lights and brakes, etc. That's a job for next year.

    That was well worth the wait. Who ever have thought replacing a break booster would have been so interesting. That was not the first tools I expected you to get, but a wise person told me, get the tools when you need it, because the ones that you get when you do not, will never get used.

    Nice work! I used to get paid to fix cars, and my brake lines rarely looked that neat. 🤣
    The VW reservoir setup is handy too. Have you thought about putting the bracket on thingyverse or similar?
    One little point - it's generally better to have fuses near the battery. They protect the cable (from shorting against bodywork etc.) as much as they do the load.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  Год назад

      Thanks man! Ahh good point. I'll keep the fuses in mind when I put it all back together. I'm 50/50 about moving the 12V battery to the front of the car. It could help balance the weight, but it might make routing wires a mess. We'll see how it goes. And yeah I should put that bracket online so other people can download it!

    • @jrevillug
      @jrevillug Год назад

      @@NewZeroland There's probably one or two big wires running from the battery or starter terminal up front to the fuse box/switch gear.
      In theory you could unpick that from the loom, connect to the battery up front, and just add a new wire for the 12V charger.
      Pulling the loom out to do that is not the work of a moment, but could save a little bit of weight, especially if you pull out all the ECU wiring etc. as well.

    • @NewZeroland
      @NewZeroland  Год назад +1

    Hello, your project looks fantastic! I'm curious about the long-term performance of the electric brake booster. I also drive a Honda CRV from Malaysia equipped with the first-generation iBooster from Bosch. However, I've noticed some inconsistencies in the brake pedal and travel stroke. It's fine in cold weather, but once it warms up, the pedal seems too low, and there's an issue with front and rear brake bias. Have you ever encountered or experienced something similar that you could share?
