    I noticed you touched the wire to your map switch. If you haven't already I'd zip tie that to your bar. Mine was hanging down a little and got yanked out during one of my races. Bike looks good! 👍

    Nice man. Quality video. I just picked mine up from Blue Ridge Powersports. In your previous video you mentioned that you can’t tell a huge difference in the TBI vs TPI. I feel like I’m in the same boat. Not a huge difference IMO. Do you have plans to mess with the ECU/Tune?

    • @ThomperBeThompin
      @ThomperBeThompin  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks Josh! I really like the crew at Blue Ridge Powersports, they've always taken great care of me. I probably won't mess with the ECU or do any tunes. So far I've only got one ride on the bike and I thought the power was perfectly smooth, linear, and predictable. I was a big fan of the TPI for that reason, so I'm hoping this TBI is similar. It's funny though, a lot of people reviewing the bike say they notice a big difference. Maybe I just had one of the really good performing TPIs . I'll definitely have to get a few more hours on it to make a final determination. Now that I have the map switch installed, I'm looking forward to trying that out and seeing if there's a big difference or not.

    • @joshbaily4936
      @joshbaily4936 7 месяцев назад

      Yeah I'm very interested to hear your thoughts on the map switch. I would say I've had a similar experience with my 2022 250 XC-W TPI. It always ran so great and was super reliable. Never had any issues the 55 plus hours I owned it. The biggest difference I'm experiencing with my '24 300 XC-W is the gearing and suspension. I can definitely feel the XC transmission in this bike. But I'll be riding more this week and hit Taskers with it for the last time this year. By then I'm sure I'll have a much better feel for it.

      Quick update for you - I haven't ridden with the map switch yet, but at idle, there's a noticeable drop in RPM when I switch to the white map. Looking forward to exploring that more.

    I bought the same fan. Can you tell me if the fan light on the OCU comes on when the fan is just plugged in? Mine didn’t not turn on. I’m thinking it might only come on when the bike gets hot. Thanks.

    • @ThomperBeThompin
      @ThomperBeThompin  3 месяца назад

      Correct, it only comes on when the thermostat reads approximately 190. I believe. It shouldn't really come on unless you're in some harsh conditions like some muddy hill climbs on a really hot day..

    How many miles can you get out of a full tank trail riding?

    • @ThomperBeThompin
      @ThomperBeThompin  2 месяца назад +1

      It really depends on many factors. I've completed about 40 miles of a hare scramble course. I know the AA riders who race for 2hrs on average NEED to upgrade to larger tanks (2.8 gallon?) in order to finish their race without pitting for fuel. There's also a fuel pump mod available to help get more use out of the stock tank. Unfortunately, I have not tried a range test nor tracked mileage very closely. It's fine for a 1hr50min race by a C-class rider.

    • @ThomperBeThompin

    Xcw for harescramble/Enduro?? That's what the XC is for. XCW bettwr for HE. However, anything can be altered but naseline XC easier to get to your end goal

      It's my do-it-all bike. I can only have one, and I race sometimes, trail ride other times on rocky mountain trails. can't go wrong with either in my opinion. I think you are right, you can make a lot of different bikes work. The fastest rider in our entire series won the overall AA championship on a XCW.
