Mija, I never add tomatillo to make red chile. Just buy Sandia red chile, and when you're going to blend ,it add some garlic salt, your cumin, and your oregano, and some flour cause Sandia chile is hot and blend it. I only add garlic salt and some flour.It's delicious, you should try it. Then, strain it and add it to your fried tortillas or your meat, etc. I'm just letting you know how my grandma and mom showed us. So if you want to try something new without the tortillas and other spices. But the chile is hot.❤

Epazote is a must for giving that unique flavor to Chilaquiles. Minced would be recommended in order to avoid removing it. Nice job!!!
