It's a handy field press that I have used many times. It's good to note that it won't fit all solid limb bows, and even some of the split limb bows. On some solid limbs, the cam comes really close to the fork in the limb (the bow press component won't fit in between the edge of the cam and the bow limb. On the newer Mathews bows, the limbs are split, so you have to use the brackets, but...... the brackets aren't long enough and bottom out on the cam before the hooks even get to the end of the limbs. Unless they have come out with longer brackets now, this will be an issue for the bows with the larger cams. I'm pretty sure you have ran into this issue Kenny. :) Just throwing it out there for anyone, to look into, if they're looking to buy it specifically for that one and only bow they are anticipating to use it on. :) And..... I returned to my comment moments after the post to edit. After a quick look on the interweb, they apparently make a longer bracket now, called "Bowmaster G2 Bow Press Split Limb L Brackets." Make sure you guys with the large cams get this, if the current Bowmaster isn't already equipping their product with these extended length brackets.
great video thank you for doing this. I have been contemplating on getting a bowmaster for several years and up til now, I lived where I was friends with the owners of an Archery Shop and they never charged me to either use their press or they would do the work for me as a friend doing another a favor. But have since moved into huge Whitetail country and I don't know where the closest archery shop is and it's time now to buy me one. So thank you for doing this vid.
I bought one because my string popped of bought the L brackets to but found that its no use as my cams can't rotate in the space provided. 4" L brackets
On my elite E32, I had to take off the red protective caps on the end tees to get the tee thru limbs, and then put the red caps back on. But it works great!
+C Hatch ... there are wedge style adapters that clamp to your limbs that make this press usable on beyond parallel bows... some need, some dont but they definitely exist... that said, the process would be the same with the exception of these adapters...
Hello I like your awesome video I have a question do you think press that you are showing will work 2017 Hoyt carbon defiant turbo compound bow? N 2011 Hoyt carbon matrix Plus compound bow? Please Thank you very much for educating video.
Hi guys just bought a kinectic mirage bow and a bowmaster portable bow press but really confused if i need the split limb brackets or any sort of brackets. any help would be much appreciated many thanks
Is that a Mathews Legacy? If it is, I have one and I think it's an excellent classic bow. I also have the Bowmaster, and it's saved me a lot of money, time, and headaches. Every archer should have at least one!
Can anyone explain to me the difference between vibration dampers mounted on he limbs under the cams, vs the vibe damper mounted under the grip??? Is it a matter of preference, or does one do a better job than the other? I am shooting a PSE DNA SP and want the bow as quiet as possible, and with the least amount of vibe. Thanks, Steve
+Steve Dickson (Steve Misses Kaylene) ... my intuition would tell me that a dampener on the limbs alone wouldnt capture 100% of the vibe on all bows and some would make it to the riser... thus you may need several... just add to riser and shoot, if you want more add... keep in mind that vibration that a limb saver is designed for, and old school bow geometry hand shock are two different things...
One reason I am avoiding the latest Mathews models is that their limbs go way past parallel so I probably can't use my trusty Bowmaster press for simple bow maintenance.
Found this on the bear website. Need the split limb adaptors used on the second bow in the video. Bowmaster® (Must use quad limb brackets) - approved for all bows except Carnage and Attack
I know this will work on about 98% of the bows out there, but I want to make sure before I purchase one. Do you know if it will work on a 2015 Obsession Fusion 7?
Hey Kenny good to see a new video man. Hey I was wondering if you could do a video on changing a cam on a bow. I have to get a new one for a Mathews I picked up to change the draw length and the poundage so It would be awesome if you could do a step by step video on this. Thanks Bro, Jerry from CT
From the bear website. Yes you will need the adaptors used for the split limbs. Bowmaster® (Must use quad limb brackets) - approved for all bows except Carnage and Attack
@@MODEMEMO if you're using an elevated rest, then you can use both feathers and vanes. Feathers are sometimes used for indoors to keep speed up, and they are longer for indoor to maximize stability. For outdoor shooting, smaller vanes are preferred because it will keep the drag effect down, leading to minimal speed lost.
Why can't "Barnett" give a simple yet very good example as yo do. You don't do the small 2'.3' cams? I have a 'DOA 2nd Gen, 60', custom. Have bought 3 different bow strings. 39.3, 38.9 and 28.7 , $25.00 + each! There is NO DIRECTION on loading the cams bow string? I have ordered the simple bow press from your choice. Thought I'd yell before it came. I haven't used the BOw yet, as I can't seem to install the string!
Great video. I am new to the sport and just bought 2 bows for me and the wife. Need to install peep sites and thought I would have to buy a 500 buck press. great advice. Sold! lol
Miss your video's
You are the first person I learned archery tips and know how from. God bless you Kenny
The car jack analogy resonated big time. I used one to work in all my own junky cars from the ages 16 to 30. I'll be buying one of these bow presses.
So awesome to see that done on the solo cam ! Thanks
Awesome video. Covered everything I was wanting to know. Thanks for sharing. I ordered one today..

Can you do past parallel bows on this. ? Great channel
I own 2 of them. Have used them for years. Best tool in my boxes !!

Thank you so much, you've made it all clear as a bell inn less than 10 minutes
I got one of those tools but im trying to use it on a bow that has no strings and no cables on it and im trying to put new strings on it
Cause of this video and your suggestion I just bought one...keep it up you are helping me alot as I am new to archery..
I bought one because my string popped of bought the L brackets to but found that its no use as my cams can't rotate in the space provided. 4" L brackets
Hi will this work on a mwthews monster beyond parallel limbs
Awesome! Thank you Kenny. I will be ordering the certified bow pro kit this week.
Is there an adapter for the prime logic?
You are great teacher, do you still use BOW MASTER tool?
On my elite E32, I had to take off the red protective caps on the end tees to get the tee thru limbs, and then put the red caps back on. But it works great!
Where did you get the holding fixture for the bow? (If that is the right word for it).
This is kind of a old video but I was wondering if the bow master will work on a Hoyt Pro defiant
youre going to need limb adapters for split limb bows such as yours. Not an issue though, I use them for my old Hoyt vector turbo
Mr. Parsons, any chance you could either show a video of the Bowmaster pressing a Bowtech RPM or explain whats needed?
+C Hatch ... there are wedge style adapters that clamp to your limbs that make this press usable on beyond parallel bows... some need, some dont but they definitely exist... that said, the process would be the same with the exception of these adapters...

Hey Kenny keep those videos coming brother, always to see them 👍
Can u make a video of how to teat down a bow cheers

Nice Kenny! I have one and never though to use it way you did, thx buddy!
Will this work on a 2016 Hoyt Defiant. I have one but I’m really nervous about it. I have the adapters as well
I have a hoyt charger with parallel limbs, should this work?
skibum1610 yes it will work fine.
Two questions, do I need the adapters for a elite energy 32 or a PSE Striker?
This press work for the reign 6 bowtech?
Hey Kenny will this press work on a Fredbear instinct with the Xl brackets ?
Work well with the carbon spyder turbos? Yoke adjustments and such?
think you can use this on an infinite edge?
Can it work with G5 prime
Hey man! quick question: with the "L" brackets, isnt it super easy to have an "accident"? having the brackets slide off the limb???
I also think it will slide off easily, one touch and it’s off it think. But.... a lot off tension will secure it also so someone has to take the test😉
Great video. Love my Bowmaster

I just bought one! Waiting for it now!
They're brilliant!! Wouldn't be without mine. Works bloody well for knee top work as well, lol.
Does it have enough notches for a short 28 inch ATA bow such as a mathews creed xs? Thanx buddy!
yes it does, it will work fine on short bows as well as longer bows. Thanks for the question
got a question for u ken i have a bear agenda 7 could u let me know if or what attachment i need to make the bow master work for me?
You will need the standard width Split Limb L Brackets for the Bear Agenda 7.
Thanks ill go and order one now then :-)
Will this thing work on my Bowtech Carbon Knight or will i need the adapter too?
Nate Tompkins you will need the L Bracket/ Parallel adapters or that bow. Thank you.
+Kenny Parson isn't the Carbon Knight solid limb? why do you need the L Bracket
+qbny944 ITs about the flex of the limb and must be gripped from the outside ends
Will it work on a Barnett Recruit cross bow?
+Shirley Hartz ... ive read that these presses are not rated for crossbows (see faq on bowmasters site)
Great Video Kenny. What is the brand of flexible bow vise you are using? Thanks for the information.
Anybody use this on past parallel limbs like PSE's? 2011 PSE EVO to be exact... Looks like it will slip off with the adapters
Yes it will work fine with the L bracket adaptors. They are listed together on the website. Thanks
One reason I am avoiding the latest Mathews models is that their limbs go way past parallel so I probably can't use my trusty Bowmaster press for simple bow maintenance.
Hi Kenny, I have a bear cruzer and a pse stinger x will the bow master work on these two bows?
Found this on the bear website. Need the split limb adaptors used on the second bow in the video.
Bowmaster®
(Must use quad limb brackets) - approved for all bows except Carnage and Attack
I know this will work on about 98% of the bows out there, but I want to make sure before I purchase one. Do you know if it will work on a 2015 Obsession Fusion 7?
I have one and love it. The only problem is most new bows are past parallel and the bowmaster won't work with them.
Bowmaster has the adaptor designed and being made right now to fit the ones that are. Wont be long on it
I have a 2015 bear crux it is not past parallel...hope they make on soon for the other guys that are...
crazy3dpilot1 THe new L brackets are in stock now for the past parallel limb bows
Can this be used on crossbows?
no it can not, the reason why is that the cable isn't strong enough to press the high draw weights of a crossbow
No proto tech isn't down in the link.. wtf man

Maybe just maybe....
where can I buy a bow master
bowtuningtips.bigcartel.com/product/bowmaster-bow-press it is in the discription . Thanks
Hi Kenny, I just bought a bear cruzer. Will the bow master work on the cruzer? Thanks in advance.
From the bear website. Yes you will need the adaptors used for the split limbs.
Bowmaster®
(Must use quad limb brackets) - approved for all bows except Carnage and Attack
Wonder if itd work on a crossbow.
James Roberts No it will not.
Kenny Parson how come?
The cables are not rated for the strength needed.
How bout a compound split limb crossbow?
Ok
do this work with bear bow? agenda 6
Yes you need the L bracket adapters with it
Kenny, How wide of a cam will the L bracket Split Limb Adapter fit over? I have a G5 Prime and it has the wide Parallel Cams,
Hi
How can I choose fleching for target combound bow??

Hey Kenny, Will this work "beyond parallel limbs" ?Mathews Triax...etc.
Love to know that myself
Excellent, many thanks!

Looks handy. Probably will do 99% of what I would ever need a bow press for.
thank you.... great video as always.
Great video. I am new to the sport and just bought 2 bows for me and the wife. Need to install peep sites and thought I would have to buy a 500 buck press. great advice. Sold! lol
what bracket do I need for the pse dna sp
There is only one bracket and it will work with that bow
thanks bro

Good ta see Ya son
