    Maybe you said this at some point and I missed it, but I would suggest removing your string stop bar (usually a small screw or 2) because the cable is putting a good amount of lateral pressure on it when you press your bow. It only take a minute to remove it and reinstall it, better safe than sorry.

      Hey there! You know, I'm not 100% sure on that. I got mine a week ago to do some work on my reign 7 and I can't get it to work,I've wound the limbs down but the amount of pressure I have to apply to even get a little bit of pressure off the string was that great it bent the L brackets, it worked fine on my hoyts bow but when it came to my bowtech it had no hope of compressing the limbs enough to do any work on the bow what so ever.

      @davidgreatestkingofisrael1181 hey there! Thanks! As far as I can tell looking at the design of that bow, it seems like it would work fine. That said, you'd most likely want the brackets, and you'll want to be cautious to make sure the brakets will fit right and not slip off during use. I haven't tried it with that bow, so I can't say for sure...but as always be safe and you always assume the risk when working on your bow. Thanks for watching!

    Really liked your DIY bow holder video. However I do have a nice OMP bow holder that works well. I don't have plans of getting a bow press since I don't have a Prime dealer in my area anymore to give me free replacement strings. Not sure of the politics behind this but I have 3 Prime bows & 2 could use the factory string systems. I think I might be interested in this if I can figure out which arms to buy with that 6" model. One Prime Centergy that I really like doesn't have split limbs so I'm not sure which parts to use with this. I never had Covid but I'm still suffering with the effects that it had in the bow shop specifically with the free strings for life that I'm the 1st time owner of under their warranty. I can do anything on a bow but Prime just doesn't send out replacement strings to s customer & the bow shop is no longer an option.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  2 года назад

      @@BackwoodsPursuit Yeah, the Centergy was the pre-cursor to the Logic line that existed for a few years. Only difference is that they never had a split-limb design until they started putting it on the Logic's. The 1st bow with the best nock-travel which was just about zero to come out. I took the d-loop off of mine when I called the old dealer for Prime. I never heard back. I just think he's sore that the shop is no more & it pains him to work a real job while using his free time to work on warranty service. All I know is that he was more enthusiastic about the Inline Series than most loyal Prime guys out there.

      I've never tried it with a crossbow... But I'd definitely recommend contacting Bowmaster directly before trying it. Stay safe!

      Oh that's not good! That can be a problem on some bows if the limbs are past parallel unfortunately. This isn't the best option for those bows. Thanks for watching!

    Bummer: I have no idea what the press is attached to, or what happens when its threaded rod is turned. Something was skipped.

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 года назад +1

      Thanks for the comment. When the threaded bolt is turned, it pushes the cable through the rollers, which in turn shortens the cable and presses the bow. The cable ends are attached to those split limb adapters. Does that help?

    The press works really well but it's just so slow and tedious to set a peep with the correct rotation. You might have to press the bow 3 or more times to get it right and it can take hours...

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  4 года назад +2

      Yeah, it can be a bit tedious to use, but gets the job done, especially given the price point vs a larger bench style press. Thanks for watching!

    You having all of that extra equipment kind of defeats the purpose of a portable bow press, doesn't it? 😂

    • @BackwoodsPursuit
      @BackwoodsPursuit  3 года назад

      Haha...well, it certainly also works without all of it, but when I've used it at the house as my only press (at the time) it was nice to have.

      Yeah, that can happen whenever you are working on a bow or if it slips off the limbs. Not fun at all and sorry to hear. That's no fun. Thanks for watching though,

      пресс нужен только в случае сборки compound bow , у которого болты на карманах , не позволяют полностью ослабить тетиву и троса ! если лук собран , и требуется замена тросов и тетивы , или регулировка , достаточно иметь под рукой обычную зажигалку или любой предмет такого же размера ( дерево , пластмасса )
      - упираемся коленом в Riser , оттягиваем тетиву на 7 - 10 см , и вставляем предмет в блок , который упрётся в плечё при отпускании тетивы .
