    Hi Kenny. - That'll press the new Podium. The adapters are a little fiddly when working with the string, but doable. For a couple of $$$ I can live with fiddly.

    can you use this bow press to adjust bow poundage?

    • @MrWizardjr9
      @MrWizardjr9 8 лет назад

      no adjusting poundage is easily done and it doesnt need a bow press. you just need to tighten or loosen the limb bolts

    Hey Ken Just wondering have you ever tried to use a ratchet strap for a bow press/ And do you think it could work?

    • @KennyParson

    I see so many people do the screwdriver/allen key into the cam. Then they say that they posted it for "those diy archers". I'm like wtf? Real DIY archers who want to do more on their equipment and make a mini bow shop for that don't put screwdrivers and allen keys in their cams, they use bow presses! And I even see those silly idiots say that the pro shop does it when you're not looking or not in the shop...

    Great video..
    Just I trick i use when relieving tension on BOW MASTER BOW PRESS rather than pulling up on the string I tape over the sting to the cam with some painters tape it keeps it in the track of the cam as you back off and frees up your other hand.
    this is a great tool to have and it is well worth the $50. past parallel quad limb adapters are only around $25. I have a Apple Archery Products Apple Edge Bow press that works great but you can not beat the portability of this press. Stay away from RAM Ratchet type Bow Presses they snap limbs if you are not careful all i've had two bows in the last two years with fractured limbs come in from owners who used that style press who went a bit too far pressing.

    Hi Kenny,
    Thank you for all the great hints you give to us, I am really enjoying all the videos!
    With my bear legion you can only lower the poundage by 3 turns ( max 2 turns per side, then 1 each side). How to you know what all the different bows requirements are? Like mine for example. Can you do 2 turns per side on all bow? Thanks for your time.

    Have you ever had one of the "cable stops" on the press slip on you? I did everything exactly like you showed and the little "stopper" adjustment slipped down the cable and my bow relaxed instantly, luckily the next stop in line stopped it from going any further. I've never trusted it since

    • @KennyParson
      @KennyParson  9 лет назад

      Bluegill20 You need to contact Bowmaster and tell them what happend they will want to see the press for sure. I can assure you I wouldnt use them if they slipped. Just email them or call they are really great people and will take care of you.

    Kenny just a quick question , I noticed that my Bear says no more than 3 turns Can I go 4 , I know 1 turn isn't much but that 1 turn will back a lot of tension off my limbs as I press it and what do you think of the omni press's I've had mine for awhile now and love it

      1 turn or even a couple more is okay if you won't shoot the bow (for most bows).

    Something that just occured to me - I have a high dollar press and if I want to flip the bow around to get to the other side, I have to let down the press, remove the bow, put it back in and press it again. With a Bowmaster, I don't have to "de-press" the bow, just remove it from the bow vise and flip it around. I'm gonna get a Bowmaster.
