    Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine ruclips.net/user/postUgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older.But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

    An excellent video! I only just started getting into archery and brought a compound bow (a cheap 55lb bow so nothing like the one in the video) but this video was a huge help. You have yourself a new subscriber. :)

    Hello folks, for those of you who are in to your archery thing of hobby time, I applaud everyone, it really is a great past time, but one thing has come to my attention of details for any one ,and every one why you should seriously think about taking the time to learn how to do paper tuning,, PAPER TUNING IS NOT THAT DIFFICULT TO LEARN, EVERYONE SHOULD MAKE TIME FOR IT ,,I'm not all that knowledgeable about the cam lean ,but I become aware of it, I have tuned many arrows in the past with out adjusting the string yokes, but some knowledgeable service people are saying it can be a factor, and the new sight ," zero ,that you can put up to 10 different arrow combinations in it, well, if that is what you think you need to let yourself know what you have on standby,for switching over to a different arrow, I'll put it this way, as far as paper tuning and spine performance is concerned, if you look up slow motion pictures on ""field archery""on RUclips ch,on world cup class archery ,you will see arrows being released in slow motion ,and then there is the spine chart in the EASTON ARROW CHART CATALOG from eastonarchery, go through the individual arrow pages, do your own combinations, I don't prefer to shoot any spine theoretically no more flexible than, 500 or ,600. ,as I put my arrow notes down on paper, then I know what I might to switch over to ,I personally don't feel I need an archery sight that cost a $1000 letting me know what I might have to switch over to ,,I don't mean no disrespect towards the zero sight, because seriously there are some of us that don't have that kind of money ,sorry just my opinion, wayneeden95@gmail.com

    I work with computers and theres a cooling method called liquid cooling in which you use water to cool the computer components with blocks on the components and fans and radiators to disperse the heat from the liquid. but anyways one common mistake that people make is that they use two different metals like a nickel water block and aluminum radiators and that causes the water inside the cooling loop to be clogged with rust

  • @raztuss

    They would be called a "Metallurgist" and the process is called"galling", the MS(Mild Steel) "galls" to the Aluminum," Galling is caused by a combination of friction and adhesion between the surfaces, followed by slipping and tearing of crystal structure beneath the surface. This will generally leave some material stuck or even friction welded to the adjacent surface, whereas the galled material may appear gouged with balled-up or torn lumps of material stuck to its surface.Galling is caused by macroscopic transfer of material between metallic surfaces, during transverse motion (sliding)(en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galling.) Sorry just goofing, AWESOME VID AS USUAL, I learn a lot Thanks. =)

      While galling can happen, often in poorly cut or rough threads. . he's referring to "galvanic corrosion" which occurs between dissimilar metals.

    Would it be better to put on the moleskin and then set up your alignment? Seems like that moleskin will slightly calk your arrow upwards.

    Hello Kenny,
    I fitted my bow hoyt klash with new cables and a new string axis to axis 28 inch
    these string and cables were made for me in the shop, I can't drive to this store because of the corona virus!
    with the new string on it is the axis to axis 28,3 inch! I have the string more windings but did not immediately see a difference.
    how much can I wind this string to get the bow back on its 28inch? or am I doing something wrong?
    thanks in advance!

    When you put in a peep sight I've heard talk of set it for the "distance you shoot". If you shoot 20-80 set it at 40 yds. How exactly do you set it at a a certain yardage. I always thought you just pull back and put the peep where it is most comfortable. I will be shooting 20-60 yds and all the way to a hundred yds for fun. Thanks.

    • @KennyParson
      @KennyParson  8 лет назад

      +Dalton Viergever You have to set the peep to your eye if you set it anyother way your form will alter and it will be uncomfortable and not very accurate. To get distance you must set your pins for that

    +Kenny Parson my wife's bow (hoyt ignite) has the sight go all the way down, and only shot at 30m (lower 50M) can not shot further. Is it because the wrong setup, or it's about draw weigh, draw length, distance between D-Loop and Peep? If it about setup, what I need to do to fix it! Thanks a lot!!!

    Hi Kenny. My wife recently dry fired her compound bow and the string came off. Is there anything I should be concerned about before reattaching the string back on the cam?

    Good job Kenny. I'm curious why you didn't use powder on the rest (or another method) for your test shot though. Is it your belief that if the fletching doesn't make a mark it's not hitting the rest hard enough to be an issue?

    • @KennyParson
      @KennyParson  10 лет назад

      If the rest is new and never shot it will show signs of contact very easy plus the powder is just so messy and I want my new bow to stay pretty LOL

  • @colbycone676
    @colbycone676 8 лет назад

    Love your videos! Just one question about tying the rest drop cord to the buss cable. In your "Know your Knots" video you used the "over/under" knot for that but in this one you said the "super knot" for it. I noticed the serving went up an inch or so on the cable so was it actually the over/under? Getting ready to install an Apache rest on mine and want to install the right serving, just don't trust the football clamps. Thanks!

    • @KennyParson

    Does anyone know how to get in touch with Kenny Parson? I have gone to his website, cannot open any of the packages or tools he offers, no telephone number or email that I can find, and the Bow-Grip.com site comes up completely blank. I would like to order a Bow Grip bow vise. Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks.

  • @RLMUD

    WOW, I just slap on the rest, and shoot, 1/8th inch nock at set up. arrow nocked so the arrow is dead in line with hole in the riser. arrow left pin left, arrow right pin right, arrow low pin low, arrow high pin high. DONE I took 8 shots at whitetail deer from 10 to 40 yards and killed all 8 deer. Not sure about all this tuning stuff, I just keep it simple and kill deer.
