Greg you are the coolest. Great presentation. I loved this because I'm about to need all these devices as well. And this was so clear and helpful. I'm an older dude with lots of years of photos and music I've created. I'm at the point where RUclips will probably be the answer for me to leave some sort of legacy in regards to my artistic experiences. Thus organizing and editing is obviously a necessary evil but a fun one. I've got a MacBook Pro but I just got the iPad 8 gen so obviously all these accessories are extremely necessary which you've made very clear. Thank you sir. I'm in ! FL

It looks like the USB hub uses 5amps. You might be able to power this set-up off of a power bank and transfer data in the field. Great video! Thanks for sharing!

would be cool if this could be powered from an external battery bank. Just need to figure out what adapter to use (or if something like that is currently available)

That I don’t know. I think it would depend on the controller.

You're going to have to hire a Sherpa to carry all your gear!

That I will. I’ll only take what fits in my camera bag. So I will have to organize my stuff well.

this is useless for on the go... we need something without wall power (maybe usb hub with internal power-battery)

John Spirou if you need something that doesn’t require extra power than you shouldn’t be using a lightning based device at this point. The Pro with USB-c would be a better option. Or get something like the RavPower which I spoke of which doesn’t need extra power but is slow. Until someone releases a battery powered USB hub this is your available options.
      So definitely not useless.
It’s considerably lighter than bringing a laptop with you. And you get to keep your expensive gear at home.
And for those that just need an option while we are traveling this works great. Or for those that their iPad or iPhone is their only device this again works great as they will have ample power available at home.
It’s all about options. Just because this doesn’t work for you does not make it useless.
