It does make sense if you break anything else. The only repair they can do is the front glass so if you break anything else you have to pay for a new one. With Apple care, they replace it for $300.
Edit: The speakers can be easily disconnected from the headset but they don’t sell replacement ones on their website or offer a speaker repair service so I’m not sure what’s going on with that.

I noticed when my roommate spent way too much money on his S22 ultra that the phone came with no case, no charger brick, and no charger wire. I pointed and laughed at him! 😂 Hmm the OnePlus phone I bought 4 years ago came with 3 cases, a high speed charger, and a cable. I still use all of those things with the phone today. I'm going to guess that 60% of the money spent on a new S22 or new iPhone goes straight to the advertising budget. It's probably more like 80%. I just don't like their commercials that much to support all those salaries involved with hyping up the next great gimmick. But some people will stand in line overnight for the pleasure of dropping 2 grand on their favorite tech industry charity.

You can assign actions/gestures to sounds, so instead of tapping your fingers together you can make a “click” or “pop” noise with your mouth. You can also use your finger or wrist to aim the pointer rather than using your eyes, or you could have the pointer remain static at the center of your FOV and turn your head to aim it.

Love that you're already thinking about accessibility! I have autoimmune neuropathy and I will eventually lose the ability to finely control my hands so that kind of thing will be a big deal for me.
The accessibility features he mentioned would be a game-changer for people in similar situations to yours or even fully paralyzed people. Having no movement below the neck but still being able to have entertainment similar to a computer I feel like would be awesome for that.

I think you're the first to mention the higher voltage of the battery; that explains so much! So many RUclipsrs have been talking about how it's only around 3000 mAh, but none have mentioned the 35.9 Wh. Battery marketing really needs better standards :(

@@borneowisnu2404 because mAh is meaningless without the voltage, Wh is the same no matter what. yes, as long as it use a fixed and expected voltage (6 or 12 or whatever) it is useful for comparison, but when it is not clear, it lose any meaning. sadly mAh will be a huge number, hundreds or thousand, while the Wh will be in the tens or even single digit, so marketing prefers the prior.

For such innovation of the internals, the outer display is shocking how easy it scratches & more so the cost to replace it. Surely it would be easier to make a detachable/customizable one if it's that easy to wreck it.

The answer is an objective yes by the way. There is no reason whatsoever for that exist and they'd do much better without it. An outside display on a vr headset you cannot see is one of the dumbest additions to a vr headset I've ever seen, it eats up battery, adds weight, bulk and cost and is very easy to damage.
If you watch a drop test you will know exactly why the plastic is on the outside. Basically it keeps glass from going everywhere which is a better tradeoff than some scratches.

If you have not read the books of (Daniel chapters 7-12), (Ezekiel chapters 37-39) (Matthew chapters 24:1-51 + 25:1-30), (1 Thessalonians chapters 1-5), (2 Thessalonians chapters1-3) and (Revelation chapters 6-19), now would be a good time. They will explain a lot about what is going on right now!
These books will cover the "Wars" about to come, the catching up / the blessed hope, World judgement, hence the Tribulation and the Great Tribulation / the tome of Jacob's trouble! These books will also be the most ominous and scary for the unbelievers and the most exciting and uplifting for those who believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior!...
It is my hope and prayer that people would repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ before all these things take place, because it is going to be very, very scary if you do not and you decide to wait and see what happens!

@@chigozie424 it *is* pricey, but pricey and useful is different than pricey and useless. I spend a lot of my time using text to speech to do my work, I had a foolish optimism that this would make that easier.
There's gonna be something better in a year or two for a fraction of the price anyways
@@WowCreativeUsername The Quest series is nice, but so far none have had a productivity focus aside from the super expensive MS hololens, and that's as pricey as the Apple offering but less available :D
